It was nice to see that the contracted company, ACME Refining, is a zero-waste plant for all e-scrap. It's been a while since I went to the ARC and now the entire drive is paved instead of a bunch of rocks, and they still accept the other recyclables. The area is under surveillance cameras so don't try and get your new TV here. They could empty the e-scrap dumpster a bit more often, I had to chuck a few heavy CRT monitors and a television up over my head to the top of the heap, but hey, it all fit eventually.

I knew there had to be a closer place so my husband suggested the moving company Berger which is located in Addison. I called them and while they did not have a scale, this place was right across the street from them. Hours here are Monday-Friday 7a-4p and cash only. When I went to pay, the lady asked if I was military and I told her I was so it ended up being no charge. Otherwise, it would have been $12. In and out very quickly and we will be back again once my car is full to the gills!
