There's the typical ingredients that are usually used in regular cooking, but also unique finds. Great place for anyone looking for out of the box produce and discover new amazing flavors. The second reason is the arepas!!! Soft, warm, ooey and gooey! Well-made and utterly delicious. As far as parking, it can get a little tricky around noon. But after 2, it's far less stressful to find parking and walk without bumping into so many folks.

Redland Market Village is one of those places that just feels alive. If you're looking for a fun…read moreweekend outing with the family, this is definitely a spot worth checking out. There are tons of vendors, plenty of produce, food trucks, fresh juices, games and rides for kids, lots of parking, and enough things to see that you can easily spend a few hours just wandering around. My favorite part, and honestly the main reason I keep coming back, is La Fontana Verde. If you love herbs, teas, tinctures, and natural wellness, do yourself a favor and stop in. The owners are incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. My family and I always end up asking a million questions, and they never make us feel rushed. They genuinely care and are always willing to share their knowledge. It's become our go-to herb shop. The produce selection at the market is huge, and it's actually kind of fun comparing prices between vendors. My only wish is that there were more certified organic fruits and vegetables available. If organic produce is your top priority, that may be a downside. But if you're looking for seasonal fruits, including seeded watermelons (yes, fruit is supposed to have seeds!), you'll find plenty of options. Another bonus is that parts of the market are covered, so even if Florida decides to randomly rain on your plans, you can still enjoy walking around. Overall, Redland Market Village is a South Florida staple. Come for the produce, stay for the Seeded fruit, and definitely don't leave without stopping by La Fontana Verde.

The waitress was extremely attentive and brought out our ordered items quickly. The bounce houses and play areas are all included which was a very pleasant surprise. While my husband and I enjoyed drinks and appetizers, the kids played in the play area nearby; close enough that we could see them. There was also a little pizza making station where for just $10 my son was able to make his own pizza and they cooked it and brought it out to our table for him to eat. For an additional cost you could even do horse riding with the little ones. Overall, I think this is a nice daytime activity to do with the family.

I would definitely stop in again when in the area.

On the outside I look like a really normal middle-aged guy, but on the inside I'm a bitchy, old Italian grandmother who wants to run over the Produce Manager at Publix with my cart. I've lost count of how many times I've gone to ANY Publix produce section and offered my soul for just a good head of lettuce. I know, I know, I must be a freak. I just figure that since we live in Tropical Paradise there could be some great vegetables sometimes... This morning my youngest daughter and I visited the Homestead Farmer's Market... Yahtzee! We got there early and although it's a drive, I'll be back regularly. There are tons of options, lots of Mexican specialties you can't find elsewhere (I bought nopales to make salad with later today) and there's competition so the quality matters.

After spending some time at Home Depot, we stopped in looking for something refreshing to cool us down, and their smoothie selection did not disappoint. Tons of options and sizes to choose from. I was expecting it to lean sweeter with more watermelon flavor, but it had more of a tangy kick and it was still so good and refreshing. My husband ordered the papaya, strawberry, and apple smoothie and wow... absolutely delicious!!! The whole place just has such a fresh, relaxing vibe the second you walk in. You all know how tents as establishments in the dirt road near Ureka or Homestead are hard to keep clean. This farmer's market is on the left side on a dirt road and I was impressed how everything is neat and clean. All their fruits and produce have a very rich look and smell. Definitely not what you get at your supermarket covered in Estou a caminho! And preservatives. The mangos have a gorgeous ripe smell and the cilantro is rich and fresh since they keep it on cool water pots and fridges. The owner, Nelson has two huge tanks with constant running water where he has gorgeous sized tilapias which he will catch the one you like and have it cleaned for your enjoyment at home. He also breeds his own fish and feeds them top quality pellets with fish products and organic fish food. No hormones here. The prices are phenomenal for the deep and the shallow pocket, you can spend two dollars on a small tilapia or eight dollars on a tilapia alone, it also depends how how much produce and fresh fruit you go ahead and buy, it's all up to the consumer. Regardless the prices are very inexpensive in my opinion and you are receiving great service and amazing quality. Besides tropical fruits, they can make shakes for you with anything you buy and they also have coconuts, sugar cane juice (guarapo) and many more like tamarind. I will be visiting more often, after all it's very close to us and with their advice, their hygienic standard and feasible prices it's a no brainier.
