Online said 3 and 9 in stock for the items I wanted. I had an in-store only coupon that the website would not allow me to apply for in-store pick up, so had to just rely on inventory and visit the store. Got there to find shelves cleaned out. Asked about items. Associate checked in back. Found one, not the other. I understand inventory can have a delay in updating but when it says 9 items, it should be there. Associate didn't really care, didn't try to help further by checking again or elsewhere. Seemed to me, that stock was somewhere in the store. Good news was slacking associates means they put wrong sale tags on things, and sorting through the mess I found a $19 dino priced at $3.50, took a photo of display and the cashier honored it. But I shopped the sh*t out of them when I did! I love flip flops and they were just stocked on spring merch, so I attacked the flip flop wall! So many brands I wasn't familiar with in the flip flop world, but cute styles and really good quality! I Googled all of them before buying and the discounts were steep at Bealls!!! I got 5pr flip flops! They had all the departments a TJ Maxx would have, but some different brands. The brands were all good quality here, and I was really impressed with prices, especially compared to TJX and Ross stores. I got my son a truck he loves, which is a huge seller on Amazon for $15... I paid $8 at Bealls Outlet! Got a 9" salt lamp on clearance for $7.50, also a cat scratch cardboard thing for $4.50, just like the $5 one at Five Below, but the Bealls one has catnip included and was better quality. Got a high quality Nerf dog ball launcher for $5 ($15 on Amazon), and a set of dinosaur board books for my son, again half the price of Amazon! This is a great store with very good bargains! Sad they're not near me in the Mid-Atlantic Region, but I can't wait to visit again next time I'm in GA or FL.

A few bits from the deli area and a fresh loaf of high-fiber bread (hooray, breakfast and lunch!) which were decently stocked. However, my complaint is the restroom. It was needing serious attention with paper on the floor and water on the countertop. The trash was also nearly full. This is something that needs help! As for the parking, there was mention in rvparky about a homeless camp making a lot of noise. I didn't experience that at all though there were a few gearheads and loud motorcycles making noise until 10pm. After that? Nothing and a quiet night. I had parked against the trees on the side by the garden center and was not disturbed. I would have no problem staying here again as I'm passing south on I-95 but I'd avoid the shopping. Unfortunately the employee at the register wasn't the best at customer service. One of my friends fell in love with a dress that was discounted (as most of the items in the store are) and the hem on the sleeve was coming apart. She asked if there was something they could do to accommodate the faulty hem (pay for the stitch fix or discount the price by any amount -$5 would have worked or maybe even a little empathy). The associate said that the manager prices everything and accounts for any fixes like this in doing this pricing. She could not make a professional assessment and said that she could not make a decision without her managers approval. She told my friend that if she wanted to put it on hold and think about the purchase she could. She lost out on an $160 sale and the possibility of 4 life long Tibi customers. I spent $289 of which I've worked hard for - I make less than $30k a year. Very disappointed, however this is the very first time I've had anything like this occur. We did have a great experience with the older associate - she assisted us the whole time we were there, even while we were shopping when the electricity went off for 30 minutes! We had a great experience that ended badly.

Not very impressed with this Ross store as there wasn't much in the way of men's clothing…read moreselections here. They did have a lot of children's clothing, but not anything for me. Customer service could and should be much better. My 4 year old daughter had to use the restroom and when we asked the associate if she would unlock the restroom she was had a nasty attitude; and was a little rude. We ended up after that leaving and not buying anything from Ross.

They have some expanded departments over the three Brunswick stores, which was really helpful because I visited the Glynn Ave store earlier and couldn't find the gift tissue paper colors I wanted. SSI store had a nice selection and wrapping paper and ribbons in expanded selections that Glynn Ave didn't. I was also able to find reusable bags that I use in place of gift bags because they're stronger for heavy gifts, and last more uses than paper gift bags (which I know people reuse, but which end up creased and not great looking to reuse). I don't think I'm the only one to do this gift bag trick because the reusable ones are normally sold out, but there was a decent selection at this SSI store. I believe the Brunswick stores carry more food selections but the SSI store has a huge toy aisle, and very large aisles for other departments as well. It was extremely clean when I was there. Employees were friendly, and helpful. I'm glad for a DT on SSI, especially in an existing shopping center because years ago they were attempting to build in a lot that was claimed by St. Simons Land Trust as greenspace, and many are grateful that land got saved, but now there is a DT and green space too!
