A spa then, if we aren't referring to the mineral bath sort (and since its 2022 rather than 1922, we aren't) would have to cater to health/ weight loss/ beauty/ relaxation in a way that isn't done by other businesses. That's why you expect to see medical services at any beauty provider that calls themselves "spa". Otherwise, its just a salon advertising falsely. I called a few other shops, and all of them said I could stop in to discuss my ideas. No problem! My idea was basic, and literally any decent artist could do it. However, most of them treated me like I was a nuisance. Whatever. It's not like I was a paying customer or anything. Finally, someone treated me with respect. The lady helped me by giving me Athena's email address to send her my ideas, so I payed my deposit and was on my way. The time came for my appointment. Since I hadn't met with Athena, I was instructed to come in a little early so she could consult with me and draw up my idea. She started by drawing my quill right onto my arm so I could see the placement. She then drew a quill in three different sizes so we could pick the perfect size. Athena was great about giving me her honest opinion, but still let me make the final decision. We finally agreed on the size, and she began. This definitely wasn't my first tattoo, but I apparently don't handle the wrist very well. I am embarrassed to admit this, but I got extremely light headed. Yep, that's right. I almost fainted. Pause for humiliating laughter. Athena repositioned me and was really great about the whole embarrassing situation. 5 hours later, and I was finished. I seriously cried when I saw it. I'm definitely scheduling an appointment with Athena next time I'm in Fargo. The prices are fair and everyone is really friendly. Trisha did an awesome job all-around, and I actually started falling asleep at the very end during the final neck-shoulder-head massage. She hit all the other spots well during the rest of the message. So, with being happy with Trisha on this visit AND having outstanding massages with Karen in the past, I can assure you that you should enjoy your massage here no matter who you schedule with. On top of all of this, their near-downtown Fargo location was very convenient as I work downtown. When I tell you that we were there for a total of ten minutes, I mean that we got out of the car at 6:25 and it was 6:35 when we sat back down to leave. Dude was a character, but we like that.
