I went searching on my (MetLife) insurance site and cross checked with reviews from Google and such. I got to feeling a little anxious about entrusting both my daughters chompers with a new clinic. But as soon as we walked in the door we could feel the warmth and kindness of dental staff! From the moment Carlee and Mia got in the dentist chair for the overall clean & checkup to the check out of our visit, I felt safe and cared for by a very loving staff! Im so glad my gut guided us to Children's Dental Haven.. now I no longer worry about who our girls dentist will be! The assistant -Annie did a marvelous job and should be commended! She explained everything that would be going on she even explained all costs that possibly insurance didn't cover that we could easily decline with no judgement. I don't think my girls ever had pain or discomfort and definitely will return to her ! Dr P came in and overviewed all the chompers on our girls and had us feeling more confident in our choice for our girls than I walked in with. This place is right for us and I couldn't be more pleased with our experience. It's also near the house so that's a bonus! Looking forward to next visit. Respectfully, Bryan Yukon, Oklahoma

The lobby was a child's playroom, equipped with toys, Legos, video games and an indoor treehouse type play structure. When Theresa took us back, she explained all the paperwork that I would have to look through and gave us a thorough tour of the facility. It is a very child friendly environment and my toddler loved it, she especially liked the fact that she got to choose her own toothbrush, toothpaste, and sand timer. She was sat down in an open area where all the children get checked up, had her own tv in the ceiling to keep her distracted while getting examined, and she got to wear cool pink shades for protection. Theresa explained all the instruments to my daughter and also let her touch them before they were used on her, which made her more comfortable. Amazingly, she did really well throughout her exam and then Dr. Guthrie came in to make sure there were no X-rays needed or any other dental problems. He also explained that he would be counting my daughters teeth to make her comfortable and was very quick and thorough so that my daughter didn't get scared or antsy. After her exam, she got to choose a toy to take home from their toy chest, stickers while I was signing paperwork, she received a dollar for not having any cavities and a balloon on our way out. She definitely did well on her first visit and am so glad that she didn't get traumatized by the dentist, which I'm sure a lot of toddlers do. I am glad I found this pediatric dentistry and thrilled that my daughter is going to be a happy patient here!

They can see all five of my kids at the same time and basically get us through in what typically takes me one visit with two kids at our old place. I have two "fancy" kids, one who has Down Syndrome and one who is medically complicated and let me tell you, Dr. W and staff are so good with them. He's willing to answer ALL my insane questions as I'm "that mom" who has to know every little detail about every little thing. So patient and so kind. My daughter with DS originally was a bit timid and sometimes struggled to want to be there or to allow dentists to look at her teeth... she has had zero trouble adjusting to EP&TD, and she loves "doctor dubs" (to the point this week she invented a tooth ache so she could go see him lol, she just keeps forgetting which tooth she told me hurt lol).. We just got home from my medically complicated child having 4 teeth extracted and we felt so well cared for and supported through the whole process. We've been at this clinic for two years now. If you are looking for a dentist you can trust with your precious kiddo's... this is the place! Give them a try!

Its unfortunate that I have to write this review but I think our experience needs to be shared so…read moreothers can take it into consideration when considering a switch to this office. We were referred to NPD by a couple of good mutual friends so I was hopeful that this would be a good fit for our family. Dr. Ward was great with our children and when my son needed treatment we trusted her with his care. The kids made comments about not being fond of the hygienist, apparently she was rough, and undermined things we told them. For example one thing was she told them their dad doesn't need to help them brush, when that's not her place to tell us we can't brush our kids' teeth during the evening to make sure they get a good cleaning at least once a day. Despite that we continued taking our kids to their office. It wasn't until the hygienist recommended that both of my kids come in every 3 months because of gingivitis that we went to another dentist for a second opinion because at first it was just my daughter that needed to be seen every 3 months and then it was my son. The other dentist said she didn't see why the hygienist recommended every 3 months because their gums weren't that bad compared to most kids their age, and that recommendation would have never crossed her mind. When we went back to NPD at the normal 6 month appointment they seemed put off that we went somewhere else for an opinion and an in between cleaning. Any time someone in the medical industry doesn't appreciate a parent being involved in the care of their child and has an issue with them getting a second opinion that should be a HUGE red flag. We explained to them that the kids were seen in between at another dentist, who took our kids' health insurance, just for a cleaning only to break that plaque cycle, but we planned on having them seen with Dr. Ward for the regular 6m appointment (with our main dental insurance) and she would still do all treatments, x rays etc. We were surprised when we were told that wasn't an option because we weren't "following their recommended care plan". We made it clear that we WERE following their "recommended" care plan with the kids having that in between cleaning, we just weren't willing to pay out of pocket for the extra $300 every 6m for the in between cleaning for the two kids' cleanings when we could get it covered somewhere else. A cleaning is a cleaning, and if they really just wanted the plaque cycle broken every 3 months then we were following that recommendation. A recommendation should be just that, a recommendation. The way they treated this situation was more of a requirement than a recommendation. They may want to use the word require next time when making a requirement, and not call it a recommendation when it's not. My husband said it sounded like a money grab at this point because we WERE taking their recommendation but since it wasn't with them they weren't willing to work with us. I first thought if we would have had a different hygienist maybe things would have worked out. Then again it sounds like the office in general wasn't willing to work with us. As much as I'm trying to give Dr. Ward the benefit of the doubt, she runs the show and we ended up where we did. My husband and I are both educators and very involved in our community and have recommended many people to this office. However, we won't be recommending anyone here in the future.
