I was very clear about what I wanted before hand, and asked a couple times during the massage for more pressure which she would kind of add a little but not much and then go back to what she was doing before which was more like a Swedish massage. I tried this place because I thought they'd know better what I wanted because supposedly this is geared toward athletes and medical massage but was very expensively mistaken. I've been getting deep Pressure for years and am new to the area. I wish I could find a place that was legit.

It felt like gallbladder pain, but I didn't have stones--my gallbladder emptying was only 32%, which is the low end of normal. None of the doctors I saw could help me, and I was feeling hopeless. I decided to try acupuncture and found Flourish Integrative Health after reading their amazing reviews. From my very first call, the owner was so kind and informative. She recommended I see Jen Potthast, who has a lot of experience with the kind of issues I was having. I loved Jen from the beginning--she truly took her time to listen and understand everything I was feeling. I immediately felt calmer after our first session. After just four weekly sessions, all of my symptoms were completely gone. I continue to go because it's such an incredible experience. The treatments aren't painful at all--during each session I feel like I'm floating, and afterward I feel amazing, even better than after a massage. I highly, highly recommend giving acupuncture at Flourish Integrative Health a try--especially with Jen Potthast. She really knows her stuff and has made such a difference in my life!

She has a massage therapist named Carol who works with her who is really good - very astute and with a sense of humor and an excellent listener. Lots of experience and good will. I like both of them. Such good hearts. Besides acupuncture Jodie is really good with herbal remedies and knows alot about Western medicine. Alot of acupuncturists just want to stick needles in and are uncomfortable discussing the herbal part or your other overall health care needs. She knew enough to help guide me through other issues. She is confident enough to come up with herbal remedies or other ideas other than just needles. She is not pushy about it. If you want just an herbal remedy I am sure she would do a consult for that and you can buy them there or order elsewhere maybe. She is willing to interface with MD's and other health care professionals which is plus! Another thing: She also does facial acupuncture which is still on my to do list! So scary to tell you all about her I don't want her to be too busy for me! She actually has been asked to tutor in her field because of her knowledge and experience. She also has helped teens and parents. I feel empowered every time I talk to her. =-)

Sophie got back to me within minutes via text message. I wanted a deep tissue massage with cupping, and I was able to come in the following morning to see her colleague, Jeff. Based on the reviews I read on Google and Yelp, I believe Jeff provides the firmest pressure between the two of them. Parking wasn't an issue at 9am but make sure to still arrive 5-10 minutes early to use the restroom if you need to and to get on the massage table. I couldn't have been happier with my massage with Jeff! Cupping is never not uncomfortable but it was much needed for the tension I had in my back, especially my low back from a past sports injury. He uses the plastic ones with the hand pump. Jeff also included some heat therapy and a gentle sinus massage. I left feeling refreshed and more relaxed. A $50 deposit is required to hold your appointment time and it goes towards your total for the massage. As with any service you receive, be kind and tip :)
