I tried to make an appointment for my dog, I had an old account which needed to be updated…read more The receptionist refused to take my new address and phone number over the phone said I had to use an App. to change my information. I did not want to use the App but was told I had to cause she didn't want to make any mistakes taking my information down. I reluctantly downloaded the App. which would not allow me to change any of my information so I called back and got a different person on the phone and told her I was having trouble with the App I did not want to use and was there anyway they can change my information on the account it has been years since I was there. I happen to be a Vet tech and my pets were seen at another hospital and I wanted to have my pet evaluated by a specific doctor which annoyed the receptionist. I was asked for a 50$ deposit to hold the appointment which I gave the CC information over the phone; funny they had no problem taking that information over the phone. I also said I would send my pets records over from previous Vet and that I would take care of it and preferred that they didn't call for records that annoyed them also. I then emailed my records which they had trouble finding them through email and the practice manager called me back to ask what had occurred while making the appointment. Which I explained and that I would bring the records in the day of the appointment if the records cannot be retrieved by my email. I was told then that they had to have the records of my pet prior to coming for the appointment cause they had to review them. This was a new problem so past records would be irrelevant- all previous exams were normal she is up to date with vaccines and this was a new problem that it's a possible heart issue. She then questioned if it was detected by a doctor, which I said no, I think she has this problem and wanted her evaluated by a doctor which annoyed her. What does it matter if I think something is wrong with my pets heart? This was the reason I wanted to make said appointment to have it checked by a doctor and that annoyed her. I was told if I did not have the records there prior to my appointment that I would be charged 40$extra to process the records if I bring them in. I expressed that they were creating a problem before I even step through the doors. She said I could speak with Dr. Dallas who gave me the same run around was then told I could not come to the practice. I have got to say this was the most ridiculous exsprience Ever to occur from a Veterinary practice and I have worked in the field for 30 years. I have Never seen I doctor review files prior to a patient coming in. Yes vaccine information is needed but my pet was up to date which I told them over the phone when making said appointment. This practice is absurd and it's unfortunate cause the Veterinarian I want my pet to see is now working out of this practice and I cannot get an appointment because their feelings were hurt and these tyrant, ridiculous business practices. Absolutely absurd- if you can't take information like updating address and phone number over the phone you shouldn't be answering it- and if a client doesn't want to use an App to communicate by they should not be forced to do so. This practice is not friendly- they don't want to have any human connection why would anyone trust them with a pet?

I trust this Veterinarian with everything that I am. He has saved my dogs from certain death several times. I presently have a dog Cassidy Lee, and he has been incredible with her. I trust him, and he just does beautiful work. My dog has gotten into her share of trouble, and each and every time she has been saved by Dr. Brocklehurst. I would honestly NEVER go anywhere else once I found Seymour Veterinarians. I think he is a genius, and cares tremendously for my dog. He has also saved my other dog Neiko, and prolonged his life where he lived a lot longer and I was so grateful to him for that. I cannot say enough good things about this Doctor, and the rest of his staff. I commend and thank everyone who works with Dr. B., because with everyone combined has helped my dogs, and their lives have definitely been enhanced. All I can say, is that my dogs under the care of Dr. Brocklehurst, has made my dogs much more comfortable in their lives. He has researched everything on my dogs conditions, and has prolonged my Neiko Boy's Life by closely monitoring Neiko by consulting VCA Shoreline Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center. Thank you so much to the entire staff, and especially Dr. B. for giving me more time with my dogs. This doctor along with his staff seriously cares about animals.

Their dog was older and having some issues breathing on and off that previous vets in CA were dismissive of/couldn't figure out. We brought Quincy to Spring Glen and had a great experience with the vet. It was a friendly, efficient appointment with a referral to Central Animal Hospital for what ended up being a correct diagnosis by Spring Glen that needed surgical intervention. Spring Glen didn't even charge us for that visit! Years later, after Covid, we welcomed another dog to the family. If you remember how many families got dogs during that time and how it created an extreme demand on vet offices we were prepared for a long wait and hard time finding a vet taking new patients for Pip. Despite Quincy passing years before and therefore not being active patients anymore, Spring Glen welcomed us back despite the insanely full schedule. It's now been a couple years and we have zero complaints. Dr. Mags is so thorough and informative while being chatty and friendly. They're upfront and fair with billing and do a great job of explaining the pros/cons of anything discussed. Spring Glen reminds us of our favorite vet from decades ago in CA before they got bought out by one of the big franchises :-( Welcoming, informative, and fair.
