All claims and proof was made and provided in his presence and in writing, photos and videos. This is the absolute worst experience I've ever had with a mover. He clearly doesn't care about his customers or his reputation. Just looking to make money and leave a trail of destruction in his wake. I'm from New York and have seen it all, but this is probably one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with in my entire life. To make matters worse, they added a mysterious "fuel tax" that was just a percentage of the total bill, and when I asked how that was related to fuel, they refused to explain. Told me he could give me an additional discount if I completed payment. He had been so responsive I paid the remaining balance. Day of move they did not call during the window to let me know they were coming and DID NOT SHOW - although I had called and left multiple messages. After this negative review posted (day of scheduled move) I heard from David almost immediately demanding I take down my review or he would not do the job. He said driver got delayed and my phone number showed as potential spam. Whether it did or didn't, I left him several voicemails with my name/number. No call was unacceptable. Plus he had called me on this same number at least three times prior to move date. I cancelled the job with him and fortunately found a same day mover that could help move the few large items we couldn't lift. I also received a call from David's third - party vendor contracted to do my move. He explained that he had a flat tire and was on his way but it would take 2.5 hours to arrive. I let him know I cancelled with David due to lack of communication and being on a tight time constraint to turn in keys. I encouraged both vendors to communicate and respond in real time to avoid this in the future. UPDATE: Later that same day I received a nice, professionally written, message from Jennifer with the company. She apologized and let me know a refund would be initiated but could take up to 14 days. I told her I would update my review once I saw the refund came through. As of today I have received 1 of the 2 refunds for the total amount (they were on different cards) and she verified both were initiated. While my experience with this company was not good, I do appreciate Jennifer's response and following through on my refund so I increased my rating from 1 to 2 stars. No fault of Suddath the truck coming from our destination city broke down and they had to provide a last minute team to load our things onto a local truck until the long distance truck arrived. The team leader they sent, David Hill, was just terrible, he put in absolute minimal effort making it clear that he was a stand in, had no interest in being there and did a poor job of inventorying our items and ensuring that even the most basic care of fragile items was taken. We had offered large pieces of cardboard to the packing team but they declined leading to a gouge in our office desk and a shattered china. When the long distance driver from then picked up our things in FL, according to his report on the day of delivery, there were things missing and not recorded correctly on the inventory sheet and that our china cabinet had already broken by the time he picked it up, he stated that the FL team didn't pack it properly and should have protected it with cardboard, which he ended up doing prior to loading it onto his truck. The local truck broke down as well, but it happened in front of our house, so they were able to load the truck while they waited for the mechanic to come in for the repair.
