Red Rose is a clear local favourite in Moruya, and how could it not be? The young and super friendly staff were willing to suggest (after a healthy debate behind the counter) the tastiest and most popular dishes on the menu, the food was delivered extremely quickly, and the servings were absolutely massive. It's a simple cafe serving simple food done right (think: burgers, chips, big hearty brekkies), and it seems like it the fills the "local's cafe" niche perfectly with a book swap, local papers and community board. Turns out the little spot has been open since 1928, so it's no wonder they have it down by now! If you're looking for a quick, cheap and cheerful lunch in Moruya, this is your spot. But after scoping out the breakfast menu, I'd say that's where you can do the most damage. read more
