They were very organized and so very nice. Rob and Joe made the trip really fun. They took us up to two different meadows to run loose on the snowmobiles after the tour up the trails. Everything was very safe. They took extra care to make sure those of us that were "newbies" stayed up with the group and knew what to do. I highly recommend them. read more

Highly highly recommend! This was my family's first time visiting Red River NM and it was the perfect thing for all of us to do. Ages 4 to 64!! Me and My SIL are also pregnant and had a great time as well! They have some gear you can borrow like snow suits, boots, masks, gloves, googles, and helmets for no extra charge. They also have gloves, hand warmers, ear covers, beanies and water you can purchase, if you'd like. The trail level was moderate. None of us have any experience on a snowmobile and we had no issues. The guides Joe and Frauns were knowledgeable and patient with our group! The view was absolutely breathtaking and we will definitely be back! read more

Second time using Sled Shed and have excellent experiences both times. The office people and guides are all super friendly. The tour guides gave a very good orientation on the usage and handling of the snow mobiles. Continually made sure everyone was a accounted for and kept eye on all riders. We initially had reserved two machines and they made room for two more on short notice when we had a few more that wanted to go. Guides gave a great job pointing out POIs once up on Greenie Peak. Stopped for 15 mins or so in Midnight Meadow to run and play a little on the snow mobiles on our own. Was another great experience. Sled Shed is a great family oriented place to take a snowmobile tour. If you have a family with little ones or not experienced on snowmobiles I recommend Sled Shed for you. My 3.5 hour adventure on March 7 was so much fun! Last minute, I ended up doing the adventure solo and I'm so happy I decided to stay! The guides were informative and knowledgeable about the mobiles and the history of the area; as well as very much patient with everyone in my group! First time to ever snowmobile and I'm already thinking of when I'm going to go again! Scenery wasn't too shabby either The guides brought us to some hot spots for photos and gave us some free time to cruise around solo in a meadow. Definitely would recommend and come back! read more

We took the three hour tour. Great guides. Rustic bus and sleds, but way, way, cool. The free riding in the meadows was pretty exhilarating. Even I sunk into the snow (my fault entirely) and got a sled stuck and the guide cheerfully got my sled out. We got to the top of the Mt Greenie over 12,000 feet!!! I have never been at such an elevation before, it was fantastic. Our guides were incredibly hardworking. The scenery, the trees, the weather breathtakingly beautiful! Docked one star: The trails were a weirdly washboard bumpy not the company's fault. The sleds were a bit aged - but, hey, retro!! read more

They were awesome, knowledgable, and great photographers. This company not only provided helments; they also provide ski bibs and everything else you'll need to stay warm. This was my first time snowmobiling and I had a blast. When you check in, you pick out your helmet, boots, and bibs if needed. I wore all my ski gear so just chose to wear their boots and helmet. I brought my own goggles. We went on the 2 hour tour which started with us following the guide in a line up to Greenie Peak and then back down a ways to play around in a meadow. You could ride around until everyone was ready to leave. Then we followed the guide back down. Just FYI this is a you break it you buy it type of situation. You can't go too crazy or you'll be paying for it later. Everyone in my family had fun and would definitely go again. read more

What an awesome experience. We had a group of 9 and the snowmobile trip is Awesome!!!! Josiah is an awesome guide and was funny for the kids but very specific on how to use the the snow mobiles! Out of 15 snowmobile tours I have been on, this was the worst! We did not even go over 5 MPH for the majority of the tour. The play area was good - we were able to play and get some speed. The other 2 hours we were literally going 5MPH and sometimes less - it was painful. The tour guides were not friendly at all - even yelling at one customer for something that was not even happening! The gear they give you is old and very worn and they offered no help in selecting what you would need. The tour is so slow that they guide was actually able to ride on one knee, turned around watching the group. There is another tour operator that advertises a "fast" ride for the same 125 - I would highly recommend that - do not pay 125 for this operator's tour - it is so not worth it. read more

We rented 4 snowmobiles for 4 adults. We came back with 3. Two minutes into the tour, this happened. First, the lead tour guide mentioned my husbands snow mobile was experiencing issues and he could not drive it. They took 20 minutes to get him another one. Then, second issue, most importantly. The snow mobiles were emitting so much CO- carbon monoxide exhaust it made us so sick and I could not drive the snowmobile . I felt very dizzy. I could not even stand up off the ski, I felt like my heart was going to stop my chest was hurting so bad. I asked to go back and they said we had to continue, there was not anyone to take me back. .I am still experiencing issues breathing and will be seen at the ER. So, I had to double up with my husband and to leave 1 snowmobile behind, this was the one emitting so much CO. Then, on the way back, 4-5 times we had to stop due to many other issues of snowmobiles overheating and shutting down, not working at all. The trail guides do not wait to make sure everyone safe, they could not even be found at times. Thank god my husband went the right way, or we would have been lost 10K feet up a mountain in the dark. Then a couple of people behind us had to double up more, because theirs broke again. The trail was extremely bumpy like a wash board. The trail has not been maintained very well, their were trees that were almost about to fall on top of us on the trail, that should have been cleared out prior to the tour. This was a major safety issue also. The small bus that took us up to begin the tour was in extremely bad condition. I don't know when it was last inspected , tires were completely bald, no traction for snow conditions, no heater and overall a super old bus with many issues, very unsafe for anyone to get into. DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME AND MONEY. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANYONE, VERY UNSAFE! Most of all the Owner Jason does not care about anyone's safety! THIS BUSINESS NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. read more
