Oh my, Where to start…read more This used to be my favorite Grocery store. Thank God I don't have to shop here anymore. For the past couple of years, hubby has gotten the dark chocolate fondant white cake here for his birthday. The bakery here used to be excellent. This year hubby wanted that same cake so we came to order it & I showed her the photo of it & she told me they don't make them anymore. She couldn't tell me why. So hubby looked around & saw a gorgeous "Tres leches cake with fruit" and he LOVES that so he said "I don't care I want this one" so we bought that one. However, while we were there I was also looking at the fresh baked breads & they were all really small & kinda deformed. That means the staff aren't PROOFING the dough long enough. It's not rocket science. However, pandemic slackers, no one wants to work, bla bla bla, I can imagine no one left here is smart enough to know how to bake. To Management: "The only employee that has ever been helpful & mentally capable of running anything is the employee "Ronnie" who ironically owns a food company. I bet he could run the bakery. Just a thought." Anyhoo, we get the cake home & it said: "Tres Leches FRUIT Cake" on the label, but turns out, it was a Tres Leches cream cake with no fruit. So the label was even wrong. Luckily, Hubby LOVED the Tres Leches cream cake, even better than the Tres Leches fruit cake he occasionally gets. So no harm no foul. All turned out well astonishingly. However, having only one excellent cake is not enough to make us return anytime soon. Please fix the bakery. Bring back the dark chocolate fondant white cake.

We had a scheduled group tour (the only way you can get a tour) today and arrived quite a bit early…read moreout of anticipation for heavy traffic. But there is a fun playground set up by the calves which meant we got first dibs on the hay slide! The calves knew visitors meant feeding time and were licking us, just waiting for that wonderful milk bottle to be given to them. Our guide was amazing, taking time to answer every one of our questions thoroughly. She showed us the stalls where the dairy cows feed, relax and stay cool, the water washout that cleans the stalls, the milking stations, and even let us practice our milking skills on a model cow. She explained that the cows are milked every 12 hours so our tour not only fell outside of their normal schedule, but they wouldn't be comfortable having strangers milk them. Which is why we practiced on a model, still very cool. Totally understandable, we want the cows to continue producing their delicious milk for all to enjoy! We learned that raw milk, not pasteurized, is actually better since the vitamins and nature's goodness haven't been heated out. After tasting the raw milk, it tastes SO delicious. They aren't selling commercially anymore and can only sell straight from their farm, so if you happen to want fresh milk, ice cream or other locally made farm foods, visit their store on site! Be sure to bring cash or Venmo. My family enjoyed today's tour and recommend everyone support our local dairy farmers at Circle N Dairy :)

Absolutely loved the beautiful location and the tour was so informative. Hats off to Michelle who gives tours while running the farm! It was an amazing experience for my son to get to feed a calf and the milk sample was delicious. Wished we could've bought some dairy products and I am jealous of the locals that get to buy them whenever they want. The store is always open and is on a trust system. We did walk away with a gigantic pumpkin though! Highly recommend if you live in the area or looking for a fun road trip!

This place is still new, but honestly? It's already running circles around half the "legendary"…read moretruck stops people brag about. If they keep it up, this spot really could live up to the name. Didn't test the showers, but if the men's room is any clue, they're probably cleaner and roomier than my first apartment. The Mexican joint on site? Their breakfast burrito didn't taste like it came from under a heat lamp -- which in truck stop terms makes it practically gourmet. Parking is all pull-thru (thank you!), but here's the quirk: the spots lean left and forward, so depending on how you like to sleep, it's either "slight incline" or "truck cab ski slope." Your chiropractor will love the variety. Pro tip: watch out for construction debris at night -- nothing like playing "guess the pothole" in a 70-foot rig. Bottom line: clean, fresh, and actually built with drivers in mind. Truckers Paradise might still be under construction, but it's already miles ahead of the dusty "classics" people keep romanticizing. I'll happily roll through here again.

This is an interesting place, more on the weird side than a good must see kind of interesting…read more There's a friendly attendant greeting trucks pulling into the lot and explaining what amenities are available. Then as you pull away you realize they're telling someone on a radio your truck details. Also they mentioned this place has laundry machines. This is not true. The convenience store is lackluster. They got the basics covered and some random expired products. Showers are a trip, man. 12 bucks for a basic shower? Okay. Then you get there and an attendant escorts you to your shower. You get escorted into a large room, the walls do not reach the ceiling, the room is lined with urinals and toilets without a partition. The entire floor is wet. You get escorted to a hallway where the showers are. Oh thank god it's not a communal shower. You get into the private shower room. It's about the size of a closet. No sink or toilet. No counter. The walls here also do not go up to the ceiling. You can hear everyone around you and the lobby where the attendant is. I was kinda paranoid like man are they recording us for a website or something? Is this a prank show? Oh yeah and the showers don't drain. As you leave you'll see some guy walking up with a mop bucket. Creepiest experience I've had yet grabbing a shower at a truck stop, which is quite a feat. Maybe next time the parking lot attendant will give you a coupon for the shower attendant to wash your back for you.
