See photos. Another rec center is closer to home and will go there to save drive time. But nice to have an option for a newer location. Appears all the exercise equipment on 2d floor has been replaced with same models just new ones. One needs to bring own lock for lockers or buy one from rec center. Too much to list here but do a Google search to review all the improvements made visible and behind the scenes (roof/HVAC/plumbing)

We love this gym because of the pools and the inside is nice, and has a lot of cardio and strength…read moretraining equipment. However, most of the front desk seems like they hate people. Meaning, they are pretty indifferent when greeting or answering questions about the facility. They don't really say hello until we do. I can tell they are just there to have a job, so it doesn't detour me, but geez. I can't imagine being the face of the facility, and having such a poor attitude. They are not mean or disrespectful, but it's like they just tolerate the paying guests that come in. Kind of like that new emotion on the Inside Out 2 movie. There is one guy that is friendly-I think he has reddish hair and glasses. There is another guy upstairs and the first time we went, he just stared my son down in the youth area for like the first 20 minutes we were there. My son is within the age range, but I guess the staff member wanted to make sure he didn't do anything wrong. I interacted with him a bit, and it seemed to break down a little bit of his mean-mugging vibe. He might try saying hello to people, because most people won't want to break any rules if it means disappointing a friendly guy that is in charge. The facility is cool. I suggest they get built in locks on the available lockers like they have at Carpenter Rec. I also recommend that management have a team building exercise or rotate the front people with other staff to give them a break. If you can get past the blah energy upon arriving, it's a really great facility.

I have been taking yoga classes on Monday and Wednesday morning which makes such a difference in my overall health and stress. The instructor is so wonderful and really makes the class enjoyable. The only thing I don't like is that some people come and go right in the middle of the class. I understand running a few minutes late (been there!) but when it's an hour class and you leave 30 minutes in that's weird. Plus if you are then have all your stuff outside in a locker so you don't disturb everyone. Sorry that's a side rant ;) My kid has been doing swimming lessons here for about six months and that has been great as well. Again, all of the instructors are so warm and welcoming. The pricing for the core is a little odd. It's $4 a day so you have to go quite a bit. We did the math and it's $500 for a family, which is 125 individual visits. For a family of 4 you'd have to each go 3 times a month for it to be worth it. Since I'm doing the classes twice a week it works for our family, but if you go only once a week it actually may be more cost effective to just pay for each class. I would recommend going for a couple months and then buy a membership if you make it a regular habit. All in all it's a great facility that's well managed and super clean. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

The gym has a wide range of equipment that's usually well maintained, making it easy to get a full workout without feeling crowded. The facility is clean, and the layout is convenient. The staff is professional and approachable, always ready to help when needed. Group classes are well organized and motivating, which adds a lot of value to the membership. Never a wait to use a machine. We came around 11 am on a weekday and the gym wasn't busy at all. Large area of machines, a cross training section, free weights and bars, and the upstairs had a myriad of treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, steppers, etc. I also saw a group fitness class happening, there's also a Pilates studio with reformers, and a spin room. I don't know if those are extra but seems as though there's lots of great options to get your fitness groove. Locker room has showers with a hair/body wash. They have saunas and pool. Bring your own towel and locks for the lockers. It's clean but minimally supplied. No hair dryers either. I wish they had a water bottle filling station, only a standard drinking fountain.
