Course has small cement tee boxes, DB-5 baskets (not my favourite), and winds through some Douglas Firs and Hemlocks. Each hole has a sign with distance, but no map, so you have to walk uphill on a few holes to see where the basket lies. Average hole length 186' with longest 250' and shortest 118'. They didn't do a bad job with the provided space, but I'm just not a fan of the space. I finished the round in probably 30-45 minutes, so if you're looking for a quick stroll in the park and you're a local, stop by. Otherwise I'd check out one of the many other nearby courses if you're visiting or just passing through as I am.

It was at one point, and probably still is, the most played course in the State of Oregon. So if you go during the busy times during busy season, you'll get a chance to practice your patience. Usually a large group will let a twosome play through. Some doofuses, not so much. You might just have to skip a hole if you want to move along. The course is fairly wide open, but a skilled player can still manage to lose discs. Ask me how I know. Watch your errant throws; all the roads and areas past the little puffy plastic markers are out of bounds to help keep people walking in the park safe. Let's go play! I have a tee time reserved for... well, whenever I get there. I'll be the guy with the round platters of plastic cussing at myself for the drive off the first hole tee box.

Wow! Outstanding disc golf course!! The course can get a little busy, and if you're brand new to…read morethis activity, you may want to start somewhere a little easier (like Mary's Park in Philomath). But you can also just play it cautiously as needed and you should be fine. It's also a blast watching the pro's hurl their discs through the air like some sort of olympic champions. And if you happen to be here in August there are LOTS of blackberry's you can pick for nourishment. And believe me, if you're doing the entire 18-hole course, you'll need it!! As far as the rest of the park goes, there's lots and lots of space to run around, lots of people with their dogs. They have one of the better playground structures for kids. There are park benches, and some of those stand-up grill pits to cook in. An easy park to overlook b/c of it's location, but definitely worth a trip, particularly for the disc golf experience!

Can be crowded, like any course. But it's not too bad. Go during the week when it's raining for fewer crowds. Definitely more challenging than Willamette Park. I do like this course, and even though it's not too far from Corvallis, I can walk to that one.

It's usually very calm outside of events though, and bathrooms are always open even in the winter which is really nice. There's plenty of parking too, along with some really good walking trails that can get you very close to the river or in the trees. There's also a pedestrian bridge that spans over the river in the park. They've got benches along the paths too. The field is sometimes used for school aged childrens' sports and exercise, the field is pretty big, multiple groups could use it. There's also a sort of covered picnic shelter with tables, although when I last checked the drinking fountains weren't working (maybe the cold). It is huuuuge and has so many walking/biking paths, ponds, artwork, gardens, and many places to explore. You can definitely get lost and feel away from the city here. I loved that it runs along the river and has nooks to explore. The path goes across the bridge and has amazing views at the top. There's a fun little pathway to the island and it was cool to be able to go onto the island and be that much closer to the ducks and geese. Everywhere you go has something interesting. It was also extremely clean. The park is large enough to disperse the crowd, allowing privacy. We were able to let our dog offleash to run around for a bit. Just keep in mind there are a lot of people and dogs walking around, though. Around under the bridge, we did see some sketchy folks. Be careful not to lean on the railings because there were tons of webs AND the owner of those webs! I'm talking about a spider in between almost every railing. Parking was easy. We mapped it to ABP and it took us to a free parking lot with a lot of empty spaces. Overall, the park was a great escape from the city. Sunsets are so beautiful with the reflections and serene sound of the water.
