This was one of the best decisions I've made for my skincare routine. The level of care, attention, and professionalism was outstanding. The products felt high-quality and gentle, yet incredibly effective. I had zero irritation, no acne, and no burning afterward, which is rare for me. Instead, I saw an immediate glow right after the session. My skin looked refreshed, hydrated, and healthy. You can tell Yekta truly care about skin health and not just quick results. As someone who takes skincare seriously, I felt completely confident and comfortable throughout the entire experience. Highly recommend to anyone especially if you have sensitive skin and want real results without any damage. I'll definitely be coming back!

However, microblading itself, in my experience, was ultimately a disappointment. I *loved* how they looked the day of the procedure and if they could have stayed that way, then sign me up for a lifetime microblading membership. I followed the aftercare instructions meticulously (and had the 2nd perfecting procedure months later than I normally would have due to Covid) but ultimately, when everything settled, many of the strokes that should have looked like hairs instead ended up looking more like smudgy eyebrow pencil. Maybe it's my skin type or age or eyebrow color or maybe I wasn't careful enough about not allowing retinol products to seep into the area (although I did stop using them on my forehead entirely) but the ultimate effect wasn't what I hoped. I ended up returning to eyebrow pencil ~sigh~ I've searched online to see if my experience is unique, and it doesn't appear to be. While some people are super happy with microblading results, I've read many, many more reviews that sound similar to mine: loved it the day it was done, not so much all the days after. Seems like success varies wildly.

How are you feeling?' I vomited on the street after leaving. My eyes oozed green pus on and off for four days and couldn't work as my vision was impaired. Since then, my impression from speaking to other permanent make up practices is that perhaps he does not do this procedure very often. Sure, better numbing agent probably would've helped. But green pus out of both eyes? Had to see an opthalmologist, so this procedure got more expensive. Would've been better off seeing someone who cost more but had more experience. Similar to Lynn, I am fair in my decisions, & thorough - the following is with the caveat that my…read morework with her has focused on previously microbladed brows, now needing some color correction. So if you are a 1st-timer to any type of brow work, I'd still recommend Lynn. Color correction details below. I'll update once the process is complete. Why even have my brows "done"? For me, I workout 6 days a week, and my natural eyebrow color is very light blonde. My shape and arch however, are amazing - the color just doesn't make my face have full framing around it unless I manually pencil in my eyebrows every day, and with twin toddlers, that's not something that fits my lifestyle. My goals: 1. Dark brown, no more red areas 2. Fuller/wider/thicker looking 3. Ensure my eye area looks more opened and not closed by adding some width 4. Also, I have a Marilyn monroe tattoo that was also fading and wanted touched up so it matched the same dark brown of my brows. It's over a freckle and held on to the color in the same way as my first microblading session. So, then the decision is: -Eyebrow tinting (lasts 2 weeks roughly) -Microblading -Powder brows or ombre brows 1st time: Microblading, not done by Lynn. I first had my eyebrows microbladed in Jan 2018 by a very experienced microblader. I have fair, red-undertoned skin but prefer my brows to be dark brown since I'm blonde in summer and dark in fall. I was told the color could last anywhere from 1-3 years at that time. My first microblading color retained until mid 2020, when I noticed red color showing on my brows, more than the brown. After weeks of research, reading the reviews, etc., I picked Lynn due to her attention to detail and common references to her patience for "getting it right" instead of just throwing some color over brows. I highly suggest researching the pro's and con's of microblading vs powder or dip brows using a facial tattoo method. This was what also lead me to Lynn, she does the latter instead of microblading for several reasons. 2nd time: Powder Brows with Lynn with color correction. My initial consult with Lynn was very thorough. She knew I had prior ink still from my first microblading and thus wanted to see it - we exchanged some texts where I also showed best I could, in well-lit pictures what my brows look like. With covid cases starting to resurge, we tried to do this best we could via pictures first. Lynn pointed out that any type of color correction most likely needs 3 visits, and only the first two sessions were included in her pricing, which makes sense. If it's extra time for her I understand, and going back over another product can be challenging. Lynn also pointed out I have some scar tissue in areas towards my arch and tail which could be why that's where the red was more noticeable. This points back to my comments around researching the tradeoffs between microblading and ombre brows. For the 1st session, she went over my existing arch line, without doing any mapping just to see how the color-matched or responded to the remaining red pigment that my brows were holding on to, from my prior microblading. Numbing cream was applied, she was courteous and informative about what she was seeing, what she was doing, why, and how, during the entire process, which I appreciated. I like those types of details. I loved the color walking away from the first session. They were slightly wider than my existing narrow brows and a nice, rich, dark brown. That is the ultimate color I was hoping for, just a bit wider. There was a bit of back and forth on which color to use, to successfully cover up and first neutralize the red that is showing in my brows. She opted for the lighter brown. 2nd Session with Lynn: Touch-up. After the initial healing of about 6-8 weeks, I revisited Lynn so she could assess where my brows were for level of color retention and response to the light brown applied over the red. It definitely appeared my brows needed more color, still a few areas showing more red, than brown. We did another session that day, again without a lot of brow mapping done, but focusing on getting the color correct. I hoped we'd have revisited the width goals I was aiming for but the color was more important to get before making them larger. 3rd session: 6 weeks post-2nd appointment, and my brows still looked close to what I felt like they did after the first session - both my brows and my Marilyn dot didn't appear much darker, nor larger/wider. So we're now going to meet and review the cost/scope of whatever is still needed to get these truly darker/wider, but I'm of course a little nervous after the 2nd session didn't end up making my brows look much different than the 1st. Lynn's been understanding of these concerns & responsive while also juggling a very full schedule. My concerns are not about her technique, she is VERY detailed, moreso if the color type/selection was correct, but she was upfront it could be a gamble. More to come!

It was finally time, my 6 month wait list was almost up for my appointment at Spades Beauty. I had…read morealready paid my $100 non refundable deposit for brow microblading (no touch-up appointment was included). Before my appointment, I went in to get my monthly lashes done and everyone told me that I needed to talk to Lynne before I got my brows done. She didn't have as flashy a website or as many reviews but I decided to contact Lynne because I valued where the referral came from. As soon as we started emailing, I could tell that Lynne was all about her customers and her service. She asked so many questions about my lifestyle, skin type and why I wanted to get my brows done. She talked to me about the pros and cons of microblading, being completely honest about the damage that is done after 3+ years of microblading. Because of the honesty and care that Lynne took with me, I cancelled my appointment at Spades, it was worth loosing my deposit. Lynne's services also come with a touch-up included in the fee. We opted to go with a powder ombré brow. Microblading aims to look natural with perfectly done hair strokes. They slice into your skin and ink goes in. If you keep doing this year after year, there will obviously be skin damage. Powder ombré brows give you the look of perfectly filled in eyebrows that last 2-3 years. The procedure is gentler on your skin and has the least amount of damaging consequences. The number one thing Lynne is aware of, is keeping your skin healthy. This is also the most important to me when picking which service to get. I show up to get my brows done and Lynne has picked the ink based on my skin undertone. She warned that they would have a red undertone for the first 1-2 weeks but that they'd settle into the perfect black/brown. I'll admit I was nervous when I had mahogany brows for 2 weeks but she was right, they're the perfect color now. She said she does this to avoid the ashy/black brows that are on the internet as fail memes. By the time the ink color settles after scabbing is done, it will heal in a cooler tone than the initial ink color. Having them warmer/red means they'll heal to a nice brown/black. Starting them at the color you want, means they'll heal into an ashy/blue tone. Next up is mapping your brows. Lynne had already asked for photos of how I fill them in. She spent a lot of time measuring and mapping my brows and arches to outline where to fill in. Saying that it's better to not go as thick or dark as you initially think, because we can always do that on the touch-up but we can't take them down once they're done (only time can). Once both Lynne and I were happy with the outline, it was tattoo time. She used a topical numbing cream to help, it wasn't comfortable but it wasn't painful for me. I started to feel a little sore but that was at the very end after it'd been a 2-3 hours. The healing procedure is CRITICAL in color retention. You're going to scab around day 3, they're going to be hideous, wear a hat and don't plan any occasions where you can't wear a hat. You cannot peel the scabs, I repeat, no peeling your scabs! If you peel the top layer of skin off with the scab, you're peeling off the layer of skin that has the most amount of ink. When the scab naturally peels off, the retention stays. I'll let Lynne be the one to fill in the details of cleaning and moisturizing. It took about 4-5 days of the scabbing phase for it all to fall off natural. It wasn't a graceful beautiful stage but it was worth it. I absolutely love my brows. Even without my touch-up appointment, they're amazing and have made my life so much easier. I have pretty good brow hair but the corners were lighter as well as the insides of my brows. Every woman knows what it's like to rub your face, look down, see a color streak on your hand and realize that you've rubbed off part of a brow. That's no longer an issue for me. I'm always outside in the rain, snow, heat and my brows always wiped off. I hated it because brows frame my face and without them, I wasn't as happy with my look. Now they're 24/7 ready to go. I'm almost a month post procedure and they're getting darker every week that they heal. That was a really long review but when I was looking up where to go, I appreciated them. This is after all, a service that transforms our face (in a good way or in a bad way). If you go to Lynne, it will transform you in a good way. You won't regret it.
