In addition to having the ability to walk across a gorgeous campus, there is access to a local rail-trail. The professors, both tenured and adjuncts, at the university care about sharing their knowledge with students while encouraging class discussions. If a student needs extra help, professors go out of their way to be helpful and the tutoring center is a great resource. I found the student body to be welcoming, friendly, and passionate about learning. There are a number of student organizations on campus and activities to participate in. For example, I co-hosted a radio program on campus. There are also interesting lectures that take place on campus. I highly recommend enrolling at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

It was so cold in August in the dorm from the A/C that I was wearing sweatpants and a sweatshirt. My roommate and I both needed comforters to stay warm enough when going to sleep. There was mold. I complained about the conditions. Nothing. I ended up developing bronchitis. I also, despite having my associate's in theater already, was told I had to take acting classes again. My first day of acting class came and all of us were sitting with the professor, a young actor from NYC. He was asking about us. My turn came. I said a few words, nothing controversial at all, but he then told me to stop and be quiet. No explanation why. He moved on to the next student. She, after answering him, looked at me and said "What is his problem with you?" I complained to the interim Department Chair and the Dean. Nothing and I never got an explanation as to what his issue was. Between that situation and becoming ill, I had to withdraw. And even with my record of becoming ill and despite my complaints, I was sent a bill for 8k as I left past the full refund period. I had to pay it.

Now there is a teacher who is just rude, and manipulative. She accused me of plagiarism because I took one key point from another students post and forgot to cite. Then I know someone else taking the class currently and they got accused of plagiarism as well because their paper was written basically identical to mine, but mind you that individual wrote his whole paper himself with no knowledge on the paper I wrote for this class two semesters ago. It's disgusting how they feel the right to accuse you of something that can get you kicked out of the school. It is disgusting how administration lets this happen, when I was accused of plagiarism I was so mad, but in the end I ended up rewriting my post anyway so that I wouldn't get kicked out of the school I've spent thousands on. But for this professor to be doing the same thing she did to me go other students it's an absolute disgrace and shouldn't be allowed. Especially knowing how big of a deal plagiarism is. I would think twice before enrolling there again for another degree program.

So after being emailed off/on about returning to MC, I decide to go for it only to learn my account has been deactivated. How hard can it be to reach the administrator as directed? Responder Dick tells me that I need to be an active student in order to reapply to be a student. So when I clarified that I'm not looking to access the student portal, I'm looking to apply, Responder Dick "reiterates" that he can't advise me of my student status. I know my status. So it went from you can't access the MC portal without being a student, which makes sense if I was trying to access the student portal (but I'm not), to I can't help you login anyway, the admissions dept has to do it. I didn't reach out to Responder Dick, he answered a ticket from an email I sent from the Contact Us page. Wouldn't it make sense to reassign the ticket. I bet you Responder Dick has *his* degree. May as well slide me in there if all we have to do is self assign ourselves help desk tickets and advise we can't help. Awesome job.

The parking was atrocious and the security was absolutely ridiculous! My sister went to this college and I wish I was able to go here! They have a pool, so much better parking, their staff is so much easier to talk to than those at Union, and they have such a big campus with enough space that the students have enough parking all around the school to park. At Union, there were times where it would take me at LEAST 10 minutes to walk from my parking spot to the college and in the snow or rain, forget about it! It was took nearly half an hour or 45 minutes! And that was the farthest lot because the 3 closest were mostly directed toward the staff and faculty! At Raritan, not only is the parking FREE, but on top of that, the faculty and staff parking is divided into completely different lots that students aren't told to move from because they accidentally parked in a faculty parking spot, as Raritan has a gate for the staff to show their pass and then it lets them in. This college is so more organized, equipped, and staffed better than Union College of NJ. The only issue I had was because the American Sign Language program was not a major, so I had to go to Union, which was awful because I truly missed out on a better experience here!

Students seeking housing due to medical issues are NOT prioritized. There is NO conflict resolution for dealing with problem room mates. Rooms can be reserved for the upcoming semester- which is RIDICULOUS that you may not get your same room if someone else reserves it! The staff advisors from housing to the bursars office come off as random, unqualified individuals in these positions. A few of their professors are also quite questionable, leaving one to wonder how they screen their teaching staff. From the lack of communication to their very basic, outdated website I now have learned that GCU isn't nearly as put together as some of the local Community Colleges. Certainly not a place I'd ever consider again.

I graduated in 2016 and have returned for a few wedding ceremonies. I've written extensively about…read morewhether Lehigh is a good deal and what college life here was like, so this review is more about the food and the setting. This is one of the most beautiful college campuses in the United States of America. For weddings, the chapel is breathtaking and there are dozens of spots on campus at which a group could take nice pictures. While the hillside setting is the envy of hundreds of colleges, it's been said that some of the freshman residence halls are at the highest elevation east of the Mississippi River. Daily journeys involve awkward undulating paths and hundreds of stairs (none with consistent spacing), and "seeing campus" is not a feasible quest for a huge portion for the median out-of-shape American. Regarding the food, dining on campus was controlled by Sodexo, the company that provides food to prisons. Pricing was extortionate and quality was awful. I recall a constant rotation of "breakfast for dinner" where the morning's food was re-heated for dinner, and a mad rush for basic foods like pizza when the main protein offering would be disgusting salisbury steak. I believe this terrible marriage began in 2010 or so, as when I started at Lehigh in 2012, older students reminisced on a slightly-better food scene that included an on-campus Chik-fil-A. There was an elevated tier of (Sodexo branded) dining options in the building where the Chik-fil-A used to be, which all charged a premium in "meal swipes" (of which students maybe received 250 per semester) and prepared passable ready-made dishes formed out of frozen, preservative-laden ingredients. You would be hard pressed to find an alumnus whose underclassman experience wasn't affected by how bad the food was. I was lucky to meet people at Lehigh who were similar to me in terms of their outspokenness, and one guy submitted a detailed complaint and suggestion sheet to Sodexo "management." They sat down with him and thanked him and then proceeded to do nothing. The extra meal budget I had to beg my parents for to eat mid campus-edge food (The Goose and Johnny's Bagels) was probably $400/mo, which really hurt back then. The school has some things going for it, just not the food.
