It's clear that this used to be a nicer hotel, but given the muddy bootprints on the worn out carpet, it's become a tradesman's stop. The front desk staff were helpful for the most part. The "non-smoking" room had clearly been smoked in. The carpet was covered in stains, and the bed had a gritty, sand-like substance in it that made it obvious it hadn't been properly cleaned. The bathroom was worse. There was dried, sticky residue on the floor that looked like bodily fluids, along with visible trash left in the room. It honestly felt unsanitary to even be in there. I wasn't comfortable taking my shoes off, let alone staying the night. At that point, the room was completely unusable for me and I left. read more

One old worn out property. The first two rooms we were assigned didn't have air conditioning that worked. Each time I had to go back ack to the other side of the property to get the next set of keys. The carpet in the halls is held together with tape. There are raised creases in the carpet. The desk chair is so worn out I had to place a pillow on it to even sit on it. If this chair had been at work or home I would've thrown it out. The bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly but they are understaffed. My go-to Wenatchee hotel is the Redlion; not only is it reasonably priced, but the customer service is top-notch. I have a couple small issues, and they're more about aesthetics than anything else; things like the carpet and walls may use some fixing. Breakfast is available, which is an improvement above Continental. Parking is not very congested, and there aren't many alternatives for around $5. You won't find a lot of people here. Even though it gets rather crowded during the beer festival and Christmas markets, the pricing is still pretty low. If you're searching for a cheap hotel with first-rate service and plenty of convenient amenities, I highly recommend this one. I stay here whenever I can. read more

Later finding out they had overbooked! This left us devastated and all in shock, forcing us to cut our vacation short and drive back home in the middle of the night with little ones as we had no other choice since every other hotel was booked due to a busy holiday weekend. Red Lion RUINED our family vacation and left us devastated as we had to stay at a rest area on the pass for a few hours in the middle of the night (talk about a little scary) to be able to drive back home safely. Calling in numerous times, it took four days for a manager to finally call me back. Please do yourself a favor and headache, and do not book at the Red Lion in Wenatchee. read more

Giving 2 stars because the pool was clean. This place needs a serious facelift. Everything was old and dirty. There was duct tape holding down the carpet. There was literally SO much bird poo absolutely everywhere. The room was adequate. Maybe if you want to save money and just have a place to sleep. The breakfast was not worth it - do not buy. A homeless man came in and filled up 3 plates and then went back out on his way. I recommend staying elsewhere. The staff was very nice and polite though. Room was so damp and musty slept with windows open and all heat off... trying to air out room. The toilet leaked around the base of it .. Mold in bathroom... floors sticky Carpets smelled of dampness and smoke...in my room I placed towels on the floor so I wouldn't touch it. In the hallways widespread use of tape to hold it down. I could hear slow dripping water in the room when it rained. The curtains smelled of old wet towels and had so many stains on them as to be hazardous. Also where curtains touched the ceiling it was wet. Ceiling itself was water damaged beyond belief... and appears to be actively ongoing. Feathers on the stairs. Anyone who gives this Hotel Hell a star above 1 is lying. Other people in our group reported the same to me and more... one room had stained sheets...non functioning shower... and yet a third told me of chew marks on the comforter with a broken tv. We stayed here on our visit to Wenatchee. The Hotel is in the middle of the city near to main attractions. We were greeted by 2 friendly receptionists. Stayed in on the top floor with pool view. When we entered the room, it was so hot and humid, even after running the AC for 2-3hr. We called in the house keeping number to see if they could provide us with a fan, and within minutes we received it. The morning breakfast is a good spread, a little for everyone. As some have mentioned about the bed bugs situations so, irrespective at which hotel you stay its always wise to keep your belongings in the suitcase minimal exposure to the room furniture. Well... it's a place to sleep. My boyfriend and I stayed here two weekends ago for a festival at the Gorge and it was within an hour's drive. The modern exterior is pretty deceiving as the inside has probably not been renovated since the 1970s. I haven't seen this much shag carpet since I watched Austin Powers as a kid. The bed isn't the most comfortable and word to the wise, you'll probably want to request a room not on the first floor as their 100 level rooms are actually in the basement. Very oddly laid out. We didn't opt for the hotel breakfast at $7 a day pp, and I'm glad because it didn't really look too enticing. For almost $120 USD a night you'd think it'd be included. There's no safe or kettle in the rooms, but the microwave was handy when we wanted to reheat leftovers post festival each eve. You do have to go to the front desk for coffee or tea which I found really odd. Granted, our experience with the front desk was good and check-in was a breeze. Would I stay here again though? I am very displeased with my stay due to the quality and sanitary issues of our room. I had checked in dropped my items and headed straight to the event in that town. My guest and I didn't return to the room till about 11pm that night in which we noticed multiple issues in our room. Bathroom: floor was sticky, toilet had precious stains, water residue, browning scum that was not flushable, very slow drainage from the bathtub when showering it took about two minutes to drain when using the shower head. Bedding: White sheets were clean but brown blanket that was provided by the front desk was discolored, sticky material and shredding in multiple areas. Patio: Upon opening the patio door you can see multiple bird droppings lining at the bottom on the sliding door. It appears to have accumulated for while. When standing outside of the patio to the right was the air conditioning machine with bird droppings, feathers pinned to the machine, nest, and pidgin eggs. Due to these sanitary issues my guest and I deemed it that it would cause more harm to breathe and sleep with compromised circulating air either by opening the patio or turning on the air conditioning. I had booked this stay on sept 29 (check in 10/8 and check out 10/9) ONE DAY STAY- there for I wished that this room would of been supervised for cleanliness prior to guest checking in. I would like to get a response to how this was room was prepared and compensated for a unsanitary stay. I had traveled along with three other groups who stayed for the town event and their rooms were properly set for them. I would like a response why my room was in this condition. read more

Me and my family we like to travel and this time we chose leavenworth and wenatchee. this hotel looked good from the outside and was 30 minutes from Leavenworth so we decided to spend a few nights here. we reserved the room at reception and we was check in. so the boy was very rude and had no manners he couldn't even greet us properly. arrived in the room the door was half open as if someone had just thrown a few needles to cover up the fact that it was broken!!!We couldn't sleep all night, the bed sheets were very dirty and smelled bad and there was hair on the pillow. We could hardly wait until morning so we could leave the hotel and we were charged for 2 nights even though we only stayed one night. In short, you are ignored here after you pay and the reception people are very rude, they don't even greet you or ask if everything is OK. read more

I work here and the company I work for puts us up in this dump. They stuff our employees in the higher number rooms with minimal amenities. No coffee. Half the toiletries and half the towels. All the televisions are outdated tube televisions with poor reception and some of them don't get half of the promised channels. All of the floors are tripping hazards and extremely dirty and sticky. The whole room is old and dirty. Poorly turned over and any request to get another room that isn't a half mile away is denied. The alarm clocks are probably dated at the same time of the the tv's and sheets. 1980's. The sheets are off white but I'm sure they were nice when the Cosby show was still on the air. The blankets have holes everywhere and the comforter is decades old and never get cleaned. The rooms are dark because more than half of the Nile burned out. In the summer, when it's 100 degrees outside. It's hot and humid in the rooms because the govern the air conditioning units. I recommend googling the unit and finding a hack to take the setting off. Trust me, you'll want to do it and it works. Crank it to its coldest setting. You paid for it! There's no coffee in room anymore and that indication some shows how they've nickel and dimed their costs to take advantage of the customer by not providing the service that should be a given with such a large chain. The pool was dirty and the towels out there are equally nasty and old. The bar is in the basement and it's dark setting hides the sickness and filth of poor cleaning practices. Nothing has changed over the years. Well one thing. They upgraded the tube televisions and that's about it. My pics spell it out. It just keeps getting worse here. Carpets are a major tripping hazard. Nothing has been maintained here. Taking your money and not investing a dime back into the establishment. read more

Great value hotel. Was hoping the restaurant would be open as it was before COVID but sounds like they have not been able to hire enough staff. Breakfast was good considering it was a $7 continental buffet. The renderings for the remodeled building look great. If the rooms are updated well this hote has great potential as an expansive resort style location centrally located. As is, the rooms are comfortable and quiet. Would benefit with better lighting during daytime hours. Wenatchee has great potential, and I hope the renovation comes with better wifi connectivity considering the publicly managed internet provider is fiber optic here. (And I don't think the new competition in town uses the fiber networks) I stayed here four years ago on my last trip and I would stay here again if the remodel is done well. read more

I stayed here a couple nights in October 2023 for a work trip. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful throughout my stay. My bed was cozy. Some recent reviews talk about the hotel needing some upkeep, which is true in the hallways. My room was really nice for the price. I only had two complaints. First, the workout room is adequate, but it doesn't open until 9am. The second is that the Grizzly lounge is still closed for COVID. Otherwise my stay was very nice. read more

I was very impressed with this place. They have recently updated the rooms. Due to COVID and Wenatchee at this moment being in phase 1.5, the pool and continental breakfast is closed. They did offer some cold items for breakfast ($3) such as cereal and bagels. The parking was not an issue and this was with us arriving close to midnight. It is a nice central location (you can walk to many restaurants and stores). I was very impressed with the cleanliness and space in the room. It was HUGE. I also loved having a balcony. Beds were very comfortable and it was quiet. Overall I would definately stay here again. It did sell out on a Friday night (weekend before 4th of July) so if you plan on staying multiple nights book ahead. We ended up having to go elsewhere for the next night. read more

An older hotel with okay renovations. It's in a good location, close to downtown, restaurants and grocery stores. No bells or whistles. Pros: Room was clean and very spacious. Had a microwave and mini fridge. Cons: train was noisy, we had to walk our luggage up 2 flights of stairs. Pillows and Blankets were very thin. We decided to stay here instead of Leavenworth to save on some hotel costs. This is the first time I've stayed at a Red Lion Hotel. Truthfully, I was expecting more high end, but it was average. Their pool was closed due to maintenance, but their hot tub was open. I had a hard time finding their pool. I looked for it several times traipsing up and down stairs. I finally had to have one of their employees show me exactly where the hot tub was. Turns out it was an outside pool. The gate that accesses the pool area was very cumbersome to open, there happened to be 2 other guests that wanted to get in there as well. One of them was finally about to figure out the gate. And if you're expecting a continental breakfast, be prepared to pay for it after dining, I've never been to a hotel that charges for breakfast. The meal was delicious though. The hotel was located in a decent area with several dining and grocery store options. If I am in the area again, I would probably explore other options before staying here though. All in all, it wasn't too expensive, so don't expect too many bells and whistles. read more

I grew up in Eastern Washington, and from what I remember the red lion hotels were all amazing places. That was NOT the case when I went with my family to revisit my old home town. When we first arrived, and walked inside, we were hit with an overwhelming musty smell. The front desk clerk was extremely rude and wouldn't even look at us when he spoke. There wasn't even a "enjoy your stay" or "welcome in you guys". When we opened the door to our room, it smelled like an ashtray. There were stains on the bed, spills all over the floor and my toddler started to cough. We turned around and told the front desk clerk that we couldn't handle the smell or condition and he could of cared less as he handed us new keys and said "they all smell the same". We went to our new assigned room and this one smelled a bit better, but again had stains on the bed, sticky floors, odd smell, mildew, hair in the sink& in the hair dryer, and also vomit in the toilet. By this time it was 8 pm and they had no other rooms. We were stuck with this one and had to make due. We ended up driving to Walmart to buy sheets& blankets because of how gross the bedding was. There was one sign that stated they were "under construction, and to pardon their dust" but last time I checked, dirty rooms with stains and vomit is not construction. As well as the rudeness from the front desk guy who could careless about anyone else in the world. We didn't even try the pool that my son was so excited about because of how poor the condition of everything was, I didn't want to risk it. I will forever speak about my terrible experience here, and I hope that this review reaches many people so they can stay away!!!!!! read more

Our room was in the building accross from the main building. The room was nice, well kept and good television reception. However, several people would loiter right outside our buildings entrance. The only real issue we had was with the shower, which would drain incredibly slow. Would I stay here again? Sure, but only for a night or 2. Wow. I'm surprised at the 2 start overall rating. I stayed here this week, and facilitated a two-day conference. My room was comfortable and quiet. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I didn't eat at the restaurant. I didn't use the gym but the areas I did go into were clean. Everything I needed - in my room and the conference center worked. The hotel is conveniently located.
