Next day I was contacted by the owner of the company Holden, who came to give my Guttering an inspection and estimate for replacement. Speaking to the receptionist, who was so friendly, courteous and extremely helpful she set me up with an appointment Holden. Mr. Holden came out took a look around my home and right off the top of his head he had a whole new system laid out in his mind. The reason my old gutters were not working properly was because they were shortcut, downspouts in the wrong place, flashing set wrong causing roof issues- a nightmare. Capital City Gutters submitted their plan for a new gutter system, and they were very reasonably priced. Trying to piece meal and fix this over that was way more expensive than imagined. Capital City Gutters sent out their team, took down the old, disposed of them and put up the new and bing bang boom my home looks FABULOUS!

I decided to give them a try on replacing our entire roof. They did a great job, at a competitive price. The workers communicated with us throughout the process and cleaned up thoroughly. My only suggestion is that the company owner could have done a somewhat better job of communicating with me prior to the commencement of the work. After accepting his proposal I had to follow-up a couple of times after not receiving a response. But, overall, it was a five star experience, and I will recommend this company to friends.

I contacted Tadlock Roofing to get an estimate for the repair of a roof leak after unsuccessfully…read moretrying to schedule inspections with two other roofing companies. While I know Tadlock has a good reputation, I avoided calling them first because a) I was on a budget, and I thought they would be too expensive, and b) I thought my repair would be too small for them to consider. I was pleasantly surprised when the person in the office I spoke with on my initial call immediately scheduled an inspection for two days later, whereas the other roofing companies I had contacted always delegated that responsibility to an estimator (who never called back). The Tadlock estimator immediately identified the source of the leak and sent me a proposal the same day. The repair was performed approximately one week later, and its efficacy was tested one week after that when a tropical storm came through the area--the repair held perfectly. Overall, I had a great experience. The office staff, estimator, and technicians all displayed exemplary customer service. But I'm docking one star for the high (but not outrageous) cost of the repair, even though I expected it beforehand as I mentioned above.

This…read morecaused us much trouble as property insurance corporations pull those permits to prove the year the roof was replaced. So I spent considerable amount of time searching for a roofing company that was reliable and yet affordable. I contacted several such companies, regarding a new roof and skylight and McKeithan and Sons were the first to respond. I found the receptionist to be warm and helpful. Although we interviewed 2 other well-respected roofing companies, our experience just flowed very smoothly. The representative, Travis, was very informative, answered all of our questions, and we were impressed with his knowledge and genuine, helpful attitude. We were kept informed of the date and time the roofers would arrive, so their were no surprise knocks on the door! We recieved a contract explaining all the details within days of agreement. The men worked arrived at 7:30, and steadily worked hard until they got the roof completed by 5:30 PM. The workers were very polite and respectful. They cleaned up any and all debris and placed in a portable dumpster. The next day this dumpster was picked up and removed by 9PM. Later in the day,Travis arrived to inspect the roof, the surrounding yard, and found a couple of nails, in an odd place too hard for the roofer's magnets to locate. Such a thorough job. Now, this is what I'm talking about. Why can't we get this kind of service from other company/corporate services? Perhaps because McKeithen and Sons is family owned and is local and has 40 years of experience in serving the Tallahassee citizenry. shop local whenever you can.
