However, I usually…read morerequest Javier because he appears to be the only one who knows how to cut hair professionally. Unfortunately, he wasn't in today and we both needed haircuts so I decided to let some of the other barbers do it. I'm not sure how they evaluate candidates before hiring, but they need to improve their skills. As you can see in the photos, the lady who cut my son's hair today, whom I've never seen before, did a terrible job. I'm not writing this to prevent them from getting new business but so that people know that not everyone there knows how to cut hair and that I'd highly recommend Javier when you go and that hopefully the owner will make smarter decisions on who they let work in their shop. They will lose a lot of business if they continue hiring barbers with this skill level.

I've went to Lowcountry Derma for about two years and usually saw Carrie Zipperer PA. She handled…read morevery minor things, so for the most part, my experiences were positive. That was until a few months ago when Dr. Wilson (who is no longer there) removed a very small benign mass from under my skin. Before removing I confirmed that it would be stitched and that it should take around two weeks to close. I was told yes to both, so I went ahead and had it done. After the procedure I was told I could shower normally 24 hours later and keep it covered with regular bandaids until I had the stitches removed. I followed the instructions exactly. At two weeks I saw a medical tech for the suture removal, but before allowing her to remove them--confirmed that the wound looked good and closed. She said it was. Fast-forward two days when I started to feel pain in the area (after just sweeping my porch). The wound OPENED up! I went back and saw the PA and she advised that yes, it had opened up and that it may be infected. She gave me a cream and told me that I'd be healed in a week. Again, I followed her instructions exactly. A week later it looked even worse. At that point I didn't trust anyone there so I made an appointment with a wound care center. SIX weeks later I'm still dealing with the aftermath. This story has a lot more medical details, but to make a long story short--from too few stitches being put in, telling me I could get it wet just 24 hours after, stitches being removed too soon, not taking care of the wound properly after it reopened, and having me use bandages that were causing terrible irritation to my skin--Lowcountry Derma got everything wrong. Depending on what you need a derma for--be careful here.

It was a Saturday and I wanted a tiny tattoo just wording no graphic or shading. Very basic but I wanted the line to be really fine so it was definitely some precision line work. I went to another shop first that was booked up and they suggested Upper Hand Tattoo because Saturday is their walkins only day. We drove over around 4pm and waited about a half hour. They had I believe three artists working through the customers. Within the Russian tattoo artist roulette I was up next when Bob was available. I'd been admiring some of his US Navy themed tattoo sketches all along the walls so j was happy to get him! He looked over my idea and suggested a slightly different approach because we knew my idea wouldn't fit properly in the location I'd chosen. After some tweaking he came back to me with a new idea that I loved even more. Minutes later he had me paying the front desk girl (cash only friends) and I was ready. Pricing was reasonable too, exactly what I was expecting it to be. Once at his station he carefully laid out his tools and unwrapped the needles from their protective sealed wrappers right in front my eyes. Everything was very professional and he was also cool to talk to. He was really quick which I appreciated since it was on the inside of my wrist (ouch!) yet he was not too quick to make mistakes. It came out perfectly and I love it! I'll post a photo later
