We were not sure what to expect after reading some negative reviews…read more We found the room to be very clean with no musky smell. The rooms can use a bit of updating which they are doing now. Only real negative I found were the beds. A bit to soft for me and should be replaced. Parking is plentiful in front of the hotel and more across the street in their other lot. Hotel sits right on their private beach with Red Jacket sister hotels along side. Plenty of beach loungers, towels and umbrellas. Attendants take care of everything. Very nice clean beach so take a nice walk. The pool area is nice with a bar and food close by. The staff is very attentive and friendly. We were having such a nice time we added another day to our vacation. Price for the room is reasonable for the Cape. Hotel is only just over a mile to route 28 with all the restaurants and attractions for the kids. Will be staying again next season!

Updated room still sucks. Gross feeling…read more The mini fridge kept going to 50* so all my food went bad. We had absolutely no wifi. The bath water was pure brown for a couple hours. We booked the "beach front" 1 bed 1 sofa bed room. In the pictures online it looked like our room had a door for the bedroom for privacy. NOPE! It was 100% open and the main bed was directly in the mini kitchen area. So that meant no privacy from our kids. There's no toaster or a microwave but there's a stove that can boil water in seconds. Since there's no rugs and no small area rugs, the floor gets incredibly sandy. I would recommend bringing a broom or swiffer.

We enjoyed our stay in July. Our room was an end unit directly on the beach. Highly recommend this…read morelocation as it was tucked away from the pool area that could be busy at times. The room was bright and clean. We always found a parking spot near the room. I typically shy away from accommodations with direct front door access to the exterior but this was fine. The beach was clean, chairs taken care of and the staff was attentive. Pay close attention to the check in directions as we were confused initially. We arrived on a Sunday and left on a Friday. Best days to arrive and depart the Cape in my opinion. The central location of Riviera Beach Resort is ideal for day trips. We would love to go back!

When you arrive you'll be greeted by the sand. In your bed - presumably from someone else's feet…read more This is made worse by the fact that the turn-down service is only towel replacement, so you must sleep in this sand for the entirety of your stay. As you lie awake in the night, among the grains, your mind begins to wander. Why are all the staff golf carts armed with insecticide? Why does everything smell like chemical mold treatment? What exactly happened in the bath tub? Mesmerized by these mysteries, you'll drift off to the sound of an ominous and distant alarm emanating from an ancient ice machine. In the morning, you'll notice that your room is tilted. Sinking? Your inner ear will detect the imbalance while you stumble across the unswept floor to the bathroom. Once there, you'll face the Puzzle Lock of Agamotto, which will imprison you in that damp cell until you tickle the doorknob in jusssst the right direction. When you escape you'll be a certified locksmith. That's free of charge. Unlike the parking, which - SURPRISE! - is an extra $25 a day. On top of the $50,000 a night you have already agreed to. But that's because you sprung for the pool view room. And if you step out onto the balcony and really lean over the rail while forcing your torso due South, you can indeed view it. The beach is super nice though.
