Red Dragon is amazing. The owner is patient and great with kids. My son loves his classes and is learning a lot quickly. Very impressed.

This school has a lot of potential. Sensei Adams works great with older kids, ages 10 to 18 and I would highly recommend him there.

It took him a little while but he is now outspoken, silly and blossoming into quite the social butterfly. He LOVES going to class and enjoys watching Karate movies since it reminds him of class. Although I feel it's a solid gym, I feel they excel in the following key areas: 1. Environment- They are positive and work with eachother to train the children. I have seen other shy kids build their confidence and kids that we naturally energetic and rambunctious settle down and increase focus. Because the Senseis have different personalities, they work together to help the children progress. 2. Curriculum- they have a set agenda that your child will follow- they give it to you along with habit trackers to build discipline and confidence and even incorporate learning like sight words and more. They acknowledge the kids when they do good and give grace when needed. 3. Cleanliness- they take special care to make sure the gym is clean and the materials are not worn out or dingey- they make sure to keep an eye on that. 4. Enclosed area- I know this sounds odd but when you have little children, this matters! They have the doors closed and the kids can't just wander off because they are surrounded by parents. I have seen other gyms that don't have this. 5. Extracurricular activities- They have a lot of activities for the kids to participate in like the parents night out, christmas party, summer picnics and karate camp, parades and sports events. 6. Skills- The kids learn the motto to use their skills for good and learn about bullying and how to stand up for themselves. Of course they learn to defend against an attack but they do take it a step farther and teach them how to prevent an attack in the first place. When it comes to the fighting, the skills are sound. 7. The staff- The senseis are great! Sensei Alina is the business lady ( I think she runs the place TBH ;) ), Sensei Yasmin keeps the order and supports the learning, Sensei Samir leads the class nowadays. Class responds well to him and he is very talented in dealing with so many different types of personalities. Sensei Amir leads some classes and he as well does very well with the little ones. All of them are very patient with the kids. There's two more senseis in training-- and I'm sure when they start teaching, they are going to be just as great. All in all, I would say that if you're in the area you should stop in and take a free class, this is something I feel is essential and this is a great place if you want to start with Karate. They offer sibling discounts and private lessons as well and they also have adult classes.

I was actually really enjoying watching him learn. He was picking things up incredibly quickly and seemed excited to participate. The only difficulty he was having was standing in his designated spot and following that particular instruction....which, in my opinion, is completely understandable for a 3-year-old attending his very first class. After only about 10 minutes, we were asked to leave. I was honestly shocked. I could understand being asked to step out if my child were hurting other children, being aggressive, or creating a serious safety issue. But that was not what happened. He was simply having trouble standing in his spot and following the instructions. The experience was heartbreaking. My son ended up crying, and I was so upset that I cried afterward as well (not in front of him). As a parent, it was incredibly difficult to watch your child feel like they had done something wrong when they were simply trying to learn and participate in their very first class. I told my son, in front of the instructor, that everyone deserves a second chance. I was prepared to let him go back into the class with the other children and give him another opportunity to participate. However, we were not invited back into the class. Instead, I was told to explore private classes. This experience was horrifying.
