DON'T BELIEVE THE PRICES SHOWN!! As soon as you move in and have all of your stuff packed away they will begin raising the rates on you. They're currently charging me $295 for a unit that they advertise to anyone off the street at $205. And no, it's not a promotional rate, that's the advertised monthly price the promo is 50% off of that. I actually have 5 units, all the same size, all charging me different prices but all of them MORE than they are charging anyone who walks in off the street for the same size unit right next to mine. What a crappy way to treat a loyal customer. They KNOW they have you over a barrel because your junk is already stashed there. Devious, underhanded business tactic. They're ripping of off to the tune of $500 a month over their current advertised prices. DON'T FALL FOR IT. Deal with a LOCAL company with REAL PEOPLE not canned replies or foreign call centers. Pay a little more to start with a decent company that doesn't pull this crap or you will regret it if you're they're for more than a month or two. read more

They don't respond. They contract employees so you get no closure they have a kiosk instead of people. They over charged us by over 1500$

This place has gone way down since it was bought by RedDot. The previous owner had an onsite person you could actually get in contact with. Now it's Kiosks and a call center in Colorado. Good luck with getting customer service. The climate controlled units aren't really climate controlled. I had a min/max thermometer in mine and it was from low 40s to over 90 min/max. Cheapskates not running the heat or AC much for climate control. One time the gate stuck closed so I called the call center to be told someone already reported it. So I asked if I could get a call back when it was fixed as it was inconvenient to drive all the way over to find out I can't get in. I was told just keep stopping by. I stopped by several times and it was over 24 hours until I was able to get back in. Probably need to fire the local maintenance tech. In addition, if you have a theft don't expect to get any help. Actually expect that they will go out of their way to not help you. The contents of my unit were removed by my ex-wife as RedDot negligently provided her with the access code and location. When I discovered the theft I contacted them to get the video footage as the camera was right above the unit. I was told it took a subpoena to get this. I then asked how long they kept the footage and was told forever. So I filed a police report and they issued a subpoena, but this took a couple of months. At that time RedDot claimed they didn't keep the footage very long and didn't have it. I then tried to get the call transcript of my ex-wife being given the access codes. They have these readily available, but I was told I needed a subpoena....which I then had issued. They then hired a KC attorney to quash that subpoena and the two additional ones I issued against the attorney and the local maintenance person. Needless to say they spent a lot of money on attorney fees to not give me the call transcripts. So don't expect any support if your stuff gets stolen. Needless to say I've moved to another location that has a real person running the place. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

I am very disappointed in them. Thought they were great at first then time to clean unit and found 1 piece of furniture. Came back 2 days later with a truck and key locks were on it. My 2 units are paid up till the 5th and the 11th. I was told they are mailing me a key or I could cut the locks off. The gate is nonexistent, place is wide open to theft, no security. Has been like this since Memorial Day weekend. Called about it at that time and was told being black topped that next Tuesday, not done yet, and gate is still missing. Since Red Dot has taken over Antioch storage it has gone down hill fast. Gate doesn't work..lot is full of potholes..weeds growing everywhere...I even took my own weed eater over to my spot to cut them down... and now we got a letter this week saying our storage fee is going up 10.00 more a month?? They bought out the previous owner at the place we were renting. We have always been on auto pay, NEVER late once.rented 2 units. Once they took over the entire place went to crap. Storage was broken into. Exterior doors to the buildings no longer were secure/locked. The gates didn't work or the entry keypads, codes would read error, red locks were placed on units on autopay for non pymt. Unwarranted late fees were never refunded while on autopay. The rent increased multiple times in 2 years. The prices advertised never matched what was actually charged, No humans were ever available on site. The pymt kiosk that replaced the actual office with humans when they bought it literally never worked the entire time since they took over. It's been an utter nightmare dealing with this company. And the icing on the cake is being charged for 3 months on 2 units for a storage we haven't occupied for 3 months @$600+ each month. We bought our house in January, cleared the units in February. It's now May heading into June of 2023 and they are STILL charging us via our card. And refuse to refund us for unauthorized charges. Our bank is currently investigating them for fraudulent unauthorized charges. DO NOT USE THIS SHAM OF A COMPANY! RUN. read more

If I could give a negative 5 stars, I would. I've had a boat stored in a facility in Pass Christian, MS for 4 years. Recently Red Dot bought the locally owned company out. Nothing really changed for me. This past Friday, April 9th, I use my same gate code and open the gate and park my boat. I drive two hours home to get my family for a return trip on Saturday morning. I get to the facility and the key pad for the gate does not have electricity to it, the screen is not lite and I punch my code in several times. I realize that the gate is not about to open. I start calling all of the number and after a ridiculous wait time, I get a human on the phone. This person is working in the Caribbean and she tells me that she's sorry but it will be Monday before the gate will be fixed. Completely unacceptable! So here we are, me, my wife, and two boys are there and can't get to our boat! The absolute worst management and customer service I've ever experienced. Have someone local that can tend to these issues! Also, across the street is another seperate gated facility that is part of this same Red Dot facility. This is where the boaters use the water hose for washing and flushing. I used this hose on Friday before I parked my boat in its slip. The gate to this area was wide open for anyone to enter And take whatever they wanted to. The gate never closed while I was there on Friday. when I get back Saturday mornin, the gate was still wide open. And it remained that way all day Saturday as well. Several boats and RVs are stored in this area. terrible terrible, unacceptable and ridiculous! read more

When a tenant dies. They sound kind by giving you a month courtesy of no rent while they "verify" the death. I sent in all paperwork asked for and they keep saying they have to verify for the whole courtesy month just to charge the family another month rent. Do not use red dot. BEWARE! TERRIBLE COMPANY Red Dot facilities have no employees on site. Good luck dealing with their headquarters in Boulder when they screw up and you need help. Sunday was moving day. I spent 2 weeks assembling a crew, coordinating schedules, and renting a U-Haul. We arrived at 8AM to find a red lock on our door preventing entry. Strange since I've always paid my bill 6 months in advance. The last was issued in November which I immediately paid through May. I called the number posted on their fence. The recording said I'd reached them outside business hours but I could hit 3 and leave a message for the manager. I hit 3. The manager's box was full. Office hours posted on the building said on Sundays they open at 9. Five of us waited an hour. No one showed up. At 9, Red Dot's switchboard opened. I explained what happened. Their rep looked at my account and said: There's no reason there should be a lock on your door. I said: So send someone over. I have 4 crew standing around plus a truck. She said: We can't do that. It's his day off. He can let you in tomorrow. I said: So call him on his day off and get him here. You have no backup?" She said: No. He's the only one. He can let you in tomorrow. That night I wrote a letter to Red Dot's President... 1) You locked me out of my rental unit for no reason, preventing access to my possessions, which access is guaranteed 24/7. Doing so without cause is illegal. 2) You prevented me from reaching your office by not providing a number to a local employee, not providing a number that gets through to anyone "after office hours," and not being open during the hours posted on your office. 3) You failed to make available a local person to permit me access even when your rep told me the screw up was your fault, not mine. The next day was my last opportunity to move before Christmas, so I made fresh arrangements based on Boulder telling me they'd have the lock off the following day. When I got to storage at 10AM, the lock was STILL ON and the office was still locked with no one on site. I called Boulder. The rep said: The lock would be off by the end of the day. I said that was unacceptable since we only have today and can't move in the dark. He said an employee would probably get there before the end of the day so there'd likely be time to move. I asked if the employee would call me when he arrived so I'd know the lock was off and could rent a truck. He said: No, they don't make calls. I said: So you're saying I have to drive from my house to storage every half hour all day to know when the lock's off. He said: The only other thing you can do is make a specific appointment to see him. That way, if he gets tied up, we'll call you to let you know he'll be late. He's free today at 2:30. I made the appointment. I reached the facility with 2 others at 2:15. The employee didn't show up AGAIN. At 2:45 I called Boulder. The rep said: Unfortunately, the employee got tied up at another facility. I reminded him that I'd been assured that I'd be called if that happened, to which he replied: There was no way for us to know. Really? In my 35 years as a business psychologist and real estate broker, I've never seen anything like this. At every turn, Red Dot let me know they couldn't care less about me as a customer--that I'm nothing more than a number and an irritant, all while illegally depriving me of what I paid for. On Tuesday, I finally heard from the company and was told that since they'd screwed up, they'd compensate me for my U-Haul rental of $60, but not my out-of-pocket crew expense of $300 or anything else, BUT that they would not be issuing a check. Compensation would be in the form of a credit against future rentals. AS IF I'D ACTUALLY EXTEND MY STAY. I can't wait to leave. read more

I contacted them today about a billing issue. I had a charge that I did not authorize from them and wanted to know what it was. I dealt with Matt B in their "customer service" department. First, he denied this charge was made, for a good 30 minutes. He claimed to even go to the accounting department and they said I was never charged. I had to go so far as to offer a screen shot and he still didn't believe me. I would not have called if it wasn't there. This issue was not resolved. The second issue is the front gate. I moved into two storage units at the beginning of June. Before I moved in, I saw the front gate was not working. Their main page states and I quote, "Safe & Secure Every Red Dot Storage location features a full perimeter fence and controlled access gate so your belongings stay safe." When I first spoke to them, I asked them about the gate, they said it would be repaired any day now, they were just waiting for a part. Well, three months later, it's still not repaired and I asked about it and Matt B gave me all sorts of excuses saying they had no ETA. So why was I told days and now no estimate? Since this is part of what I paid for and my contract, I requested a partial refund for this advertised and contracted service not being provided and Matt B told me "You don't have to rent with us." So, they lied to me for three months and took my money, but when I asked for a resolution, Matt B ducked the question and told me to go elsewhere. Now, on their main page, they also falsely state and I quote, "Incredible Support Our storage specialists are available 7 days a week to answer questions, process payments, provide useful tips, and much more." This is all false. To date, I have never seen a so called specialist nor was Matt B useful in any way. So, to sum it up, they falsely advertise and refuse to correct matters, lie to you and when you want customer service, you will only get a rude jerk telling you to go somewhere else if you don't like their lies. This is a great place until a fire burns the place down. After that communication is non existent with Red Dot in Collinsville, Illinois other than one email letting me know that my unit was part of the fire and one other email asking where my June payment is. It has been almost 3 weeks and they will not give me any answers as to if it was a total loss, or if their insurance is covering everything. They will not even let us on property to see our unit. THIEVES! My work requires that I travel sometimes for extended periods. I had used the Omni storage facility for years I was setup on an automatic payment with my credit card. While I was away Red Dot took over the facility. Yes I had an old address on file, but I have had the same phone number for over 20 years. They claim to have tried to contact me via text but I have no record of it on the dates they gave me. Long story short. This "Reality TV company Red Dot" auctioned off my personal belongings. They are nothing more than THIEVES! I lost some of my family history. Sad very sad. read more

Called Red Dot June 9 and emptied out the storage unit on June 11. I was expecting to get credit back on my VISA for days left in the month I paid for but not used. Called them today and they told me sorry we don't do that. From my perspective they owe me $45. They can double their money by renting out units that are empty but paid for by prior renter. Since Red Dot has taken over in Antioch the facility has turned into a junk yard with no functioning gate & fences cut. We have lost $100 cooler & gas has been siphoned out of our RV. When calling Red Dot on hold for 30 minutes & they were aware of the issue & he apologized but as soon as we said if there is nothing they can do we will need to find another place he that is fine. Stay away from Red Dot. They do not deserve even the one star as that is yelp's condition to put a review. read more
