Makes for a relaxing, but somehow invigorating atmosphere. Quilla's chair partner, Britney, does a great job for her clients too; I see them walking out looking with a shiny and well-styled hairdo! My hair is fine and thin and Cody always colors and cuts it to where it looks much thicker and fuller than it is. The color she does (highlights and low-lights) are always a perfect shade- exactly what I ask for. She is patient and intuitive, knowing what the needs of each individual client are. I even trusted Cody with coloring my hair before my wedding in 2011. If you see Cody you will love her sweet, professional, and friendly demeanor and I promise you'll be a client for life!

Where do I even begin…read more I called the salon to ask for an appointment with someone who I was recommended to and was given two different phone numbers and called back three more times before I was made aware of a groupon deal for a full set of highlights for $70. Three more calls later and I finally had an appointment with the person that I THOUGHT was the amazing stylist I had been referred to. Let me start by saying that prior to this appointment I had been growing my hair out for three years so it was mostly virgin hair, but I was set on putting some blonde in. I told the stylist that I liked the blonde to be very blonde (not orange, not yellow, not red--blonde!) but that I liked to keep some of my natural dark in the front because my eyebrows are dark. But I hates the stripy high contrast look...She recommended a FEW low lights and said it would be a bit extra than what I paid for the groupon. No problem. After what seemed like forever, my hair was done, she showed me the front (I should have investigated the back too I guess) and while it was nowhere near what I wanted (she put lowlights ALL OVER) I was going to convince myself to be happy with it because after all the parts that were blonde were really blonde. That's when she told me it would be $56 more for the lowlights that I didn't even want. So here I am, paying $125 for a dye job that I didn't even ask for and was supposed to be getting a deal on (the groupon--helloooo!) It's also worth mentioning that I have very thin, shoulder length hair and have NEVER paid that much to have it done. So after getting home and seeing my friends and family's reactions, I took a closer look. My roots were extremely over processed, the blonde and brown ran together and was patchy and honestly just horrendous. Now I know why she didn't show me the back of my head. I understand people make mistakes and the girl was very nice so I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. It was the Friday before Christmas that my hair was done and honestly my only options are to waste the damage of the bleach and dye it all dark or wait for it to grow out. But...that being said, I'd like my money back. So I called. I've called and left 4 messages and am waiting on the owner to call me now because I simply cannot accept the proposed solution of allowing the person who did this to my head to "fix it"-- my hair is practically falling out, there's no way I want her touching my head again. So I guess I'm just out all my Christmas money and stuck with ruined hair until it grows out enough to where dying it won't make it break off. I feel terrible writing this review because 1. I am not a confrontational person, 2. The girl who did my hair was genuinely nice and I don't doubt that she tried her best, and 3. I hate upsetting the reputation of a business that was highly recommended to me. However, I spent Christmas in a beanie and now I'll be spending New Years just the same. It's very upsetting. Because of the miscommunication in phone calls, poor quality of service, and minimal options for distraught customers, I will NOT recommend this place to anyone.

I take reviews seriously and have never posted one like this before. I paid $70 for a specific…read morehaircut and was extremely disappointed with the result. What I asked for: I had a consultation with April and showed her multiple reference photos, including examples of her own work. I specifically requested a soft V-shape, full perimeter, long cascading/blended layers, and curtain bangs. My hair was extremely long, reaching the top of my glutes. What I got: The V-shape I requested is essentially nonexistent, the layers don't have the soft, blended look I asked for, and significant length was removed without communicating that to me beforehand. The curtain bangs were also not cut in a way that allows me to style them as intended, even after trying rollers, a round brush, and products. Customer service: I first contacted the owner, who directed me back to April because the stylists work independently. April apologized and offered to have me come back with my hair already straightened so she could make additional cuts and adjustments. I no longer felt comfortable having her cut my hair again or risking losing more length, so I requested a $70 refund instead. After I requested the refund, April stopped responding. It has now been 2 weeks. I had to spend additional money to find another stylist to assess at correcting the haircut. Buyer beware. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking with April or this salon.

I mentioned at least 4 times about darker dye and how it chemically burns my scalp, but I was told all color dyes are the same and that Mychel uses all-natural products and promised it wouldn't be so dark. Well, it's exactly what happened. My scalp is on fire, and I'm having an allergic reaction to the darker dye. My haircut looks horrid and not like any of the pictures I showed for inspo. Sadly, an epic fail all the way around, and headed to urgent care. My hair has never been so short. It will take a couple of years to regrow it. Even asked afterwards when we could correct it and get the color changed. I've been ghosted..whatever
