He told us we had freedom to do what we wanted before booking, but when we were setting up he was in there telling us where we should put stuff, told us we couldn't cover up his large, cowboy sculpture with a big sign about unattended children. The catering was disgusting. So cheap, you could literally tell he just went to Sams before hand and got some deli meat and cold bread slices. He did provide a caricature for our party at no charge, but it seemed like it was more of a favor for his friend than our party. Overall, I hate to write negative reviews, and gave 2 stars because the venue really is neat. But the owner should really just be behind the scenes and make his guests feel more welcome. He is obviously not a people-person, so he should hire someone else to do his customer service. Honestly Rocky, it's worth the extra expense. Bad customer experiences go a long way, and I hope my review can inspire change or prevent someone else from having to go through the experience.

The decor is rustic, barn, old west vibe. We had food served buffet style of shaved ham, turkey, turkey pastrami, bread, Grandma's garlic pickles, sliced sausage, cheese plate, desert of cookies & mousses(?). I'm sure I forgot something, but those were the things I ate. It was good, and they didn't run out of food the whole night. Cash bar with beer and spirits. There was also soft drinks, tea & water for us designated drivers. The air conditioner works great and in OK in the summer in a crowd of people, that is 100%! There is a small dance floor you could probably get 50 people out on it and a stage for a DJ. I wasn't in on the planning for this reunion so I don't know if the DJ was provided for with the rental as he wasn't anyone from the reunion or if he was hired by the class. He was good, he played from 7pm-12am without the music stopping. There were 2 young men walking the floor the whole time picking up empty glasses, beer bottles, plates, napkins. Straightening table decor, pushing chairs up to the table so people had room to walk around the floor. They impressed the heck out of me. There is no street parking, but you can pay to park in the hotel parking lot just across the street. Or Uber, Lyft to and from. If you need a venue for pretty much anything, check them out. There is also an elevator for easy access as you walk up a flight of stairs for entry.

We sampled each one and oddly enough the first one was my favorite! They also let you buy your favorite bottles. The entire experience that was created by the staff of Vast/V2 just made the whole night fantastic! Everything I ate/drank made me miss France even more than I already do. It almost has a library atmosphere to it. When you first walk in here you are greeted by a hush. It's almost eerie. There is an information desk to your left, at times there is no one manning this desk, but there is a screen to inform you as to what room is being used for what. Also on your left is a corridor that connects to the Sheraton hotel. Moving forward you can either go upstairs or to the main conference room. For this review, that will be the main focus as I never went upstairs. The main room is huge, so huge that they can divide it up into three areas. Seems great when you think about it and you need space, but somehow it kind of turned into a bit of a nightmare to deal with. Noise travels in here, loudly. For what I was attending I was sitting on the far left of the now divided room. Everything that was being said on the far right of the now divided room I could hear clear as day. You may be thinking, "Well, the room is divided, how is that so?" When I say divided, it's not divided by anything more that curtains. So you hear, and nearly see everything else that is going on in that room. It made it hard to focus. Want to know what made it harder to focus? The fact that even though it is warm outside, you may need a winter jacket to keep yourself from getting hypothermia. Not knowing this, I had no warmer clothes and I suffered. I made frequent trips outside to warm up. The outside area is beautiful. There is a pond with a fountain in it and a path for a stroll. A covered area with benches to take a break. The facilities were tidy and well maintained.

I loved the mix of professionalism and comfort here. The facilities were top notch and the staff was wonderful. Outside, the landscaping and water features along the walking paths were a very welcome sight. I highly recommend a relaxing walk around the south and east side of the building. This is a great spot for a conference, and I was very impressed today. It's also worth noting that the Reed Center staff served a Mexican lunch today and it was delicious. Yum!
