We moved to SF with our ~4 month old puppy in 2019. Tyler started walking our dog shortly thereafter, and we have used Tyler ever since. He is dependable, caring, and knowledgeable. Tyler takes our dog on a daily group walk. Our pup comes home from his daily walks well-exercised and well-socialized. Tyler even posts daily videos to his instagram from his walks (a perk that our extended family loves). Over the years our dog has been all over SF to various parks and beaches on these walks. Tyler has also been a wonderful help in boarding our dog, and when he's unavailable, he helps us find trusted members of his community who will board our dog in their homes while we are away. Whenever we have issues or questions about our dog, Tyler is our first call. He has provided great training advice and referrals more times than we can count. We are leaving SF to move across the country, and leaving Tyler behind is one of the hardest parts of our move. He is someone we trust completely. Knowing that our dog is in his care puts us at ease. Tyler and his dog Elle have been the best for our family for over three years and I am so grateful for the love and dedication they have for the whole pack. They treat my dog, Rupert, like their own and I have countless stories of Tyler going above and beyond for our family and for the little guy. We love Red Dog Run! Tyler was our walker for our sweet Frenchie. We were introduced through a friend/colleague who has been with Tyler's group for a year or so. The only reason we parted ways after 2 years was because we moved out of his coverage zone and it was honestly the saddest part of our move He took great care of our pup's needs (she's a Frenchie...she pukes, loves tug...with ball launchers, etc.) and helped us train her -- she's so great at being offleash and recall because of all his positive reenforcement. He does adventure style off leash walks in safe areas and, as a special bonus, he regularly posts content on instagram. He's fully licensed and insured (important for any accidents). Don't hesitate and snag a spot with RDR while it's open; his slots fill up quickly. Where do I even begin about Tyler and Red Dog Run? Our daughter, fur baby, dearest labradoodle, Kavi, came into our lives at a mere 8 weeks old. Tyler was the first human (other than her pawrents) that she met. We brought her home that afternoon and she was off with Tyler the very next morning. (PS I don't use my real name on Yelp for privacy, but I am the pawrent of Kavi, who is on Instagram as @kavithedoodle). Tyler is a member of our family in my mind. His amazing dog, Eleanor (Ellie) is like Kavi's mentor and big sister, and Tyler is like her Godparent. He treats her like family, like his own pup. Honestly, I sometimes get a bit choked up thinking about how kind he is to Kavi. When someone is that loving to someone you love so much, you cannot help but feel levels beyond grateful to have him in your life. And Kavi loves him dearly. If I say his name, she runs to the door looking for him and is so excited when he comes to pick her up. Funny story - I usually use Siri on my iPhone to send texts. "Hey Siri, text Dad, see you soon we are on the way" etc. I used to text Tyler the same way - "hey Siri, text Tyler" -- but I cannot do that anymore, since Kavi hears "Tyler" in "hey Siri, text Tyler" and runs down a flight of stairs to the exit door looking for Tyler there. That's how special he is to her - merely the mention of his name and she is super excited and happy. Tyler also goes the extra mile for Kavi and for us when needed. We have left Kavi with Tyler for 5-10 days at a time when we have been out of town and we sleep very peacefully knowing how well she is being treated. And when we have had some schedule changes, Tyler has always accommodated us fairly, often quite generously. He is super responsive to text messages, has been flexible to help us out too many times to count, and is super trustworthy. How awesome is that combo? Responsive, trustworthy, flexible. He is a high integrity all around good guy. I personally admire him, to be honest, in addition to of course being thankful for how well he takes care of our fur baby. Added bonus: he frequently updates his Instagram page and Instagram stories, so there are great pictures and videos during the day of the whole crew. He has been kind enough to send high res pictures I have asked for that he took during the day too. Kavi is always so happy and is the sweetest little pup ever (yes, I am biased) and a huge part of that is Tyler's influence, love, and care for her since her day 1 in her forever home. I have been using Tyler for the last 6 months since moving to San Fransisco for my 7 year old golden retriever Lola. I cannot recommend Tyler more! Tyler does in apartment pickup/drop off and records their whole day out on Instagram where the dogs go off leash at Chrissy Field. Tyler has been an integral part in helping us raise Leo, training him while he was out with the pack, and socializing him with other pups. Leo truly lives the life- he goes with Tyler and crew to Crissy Field or on other adventures for the day then comes home, exhausted (which we love and appreciate) and snuggles and naps the rest of the day. Tyler is the most trustworthy, professional and loving dog walker out there! He takes the dogs on full adventures to Crissy Field, the Presidio and the beach -- my dog would quite literally stare out the window each morning in anticipation of seeing Tyler's truck pull up. Instead of putting our dog in a puppy socialization class, we started out with Tyler right after our pups three month mark and I never turned back. Tyler helped with leash training, exhausting a crazy puppy, and keeping him happy while we were working at home. Tyler become part of the family and he had keys to the apartment so that he can drop our dog off while we are on and off work calls. Tyler was super accommodating if we needed flexibility on daily schedules and even watched our pup over a few weekends when we were out of town. This review is long overdue. Tyler has walked my dog, Oski, since he was 12 weeks old, and there is no one that I would trust more to take Oski out everyday. Tyler is amazingly accommodating and flexible. There was a time random cleaners we had through Handy were scared of dogs and the lady locked herself in the bathroom! Tyler came to rescue and picked Oski up early. It makes it so easy to trust Tyler, because it is very obvious he deeply cares about Oski. Tyler doesn't only take the dogs out to fun safe spots in SF, but he also helps with off-leash training and obedience training as well! Tyler is an amazing dog walker and even better person! I can't recommend him enough, he is trustworthy, loving, caring, prompt, responsible, and always super accommodating! Our dog loves him so much she starts to sit at the window around the time she knows Tyler is coming and starts wagging her tail the second he pulls up in his truck. He helped train our dog since she was a little pup and gives us daily updates and posts dozens of pictures on his Instagram account of all the dogs roaming around and playing off leash through Crissy field and the beach, our dog absolutely loves it! Also he always accommodates if we need to be earlier, later, double shift, never any problem, he is the best. I'm thrilled to be able to write this review for Tyler of Red Dog Run. As cheesy as it sounds, if I could give him more than five stars, I would! I've never written a Yelp review before, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to express how much I recommend Tyler, and what an important part of our lives he is! Tyler has been walking and petsitting Zoe (mini labradoodle) since she was ten weeks old. She is now almost 4 years old, and we couldn't do it without Tyler. A few reasons why I recommend Tyler and Red Dog Run: 1. He's trustworthy. As I said, Tyler has been pet sitting and walking Zoe since she was a puppy. He's had a key to our house since day one, has often stayed here with Zoe while we are out of town, and I never have to worry about our place or Zoe being well taken care of. Tyler started out as Zoe's dog walker while part of a larger dog walking company in San Francisco, and he was soon promoted to manager of the company. He was responsible for hiring and training all of the new walkers, and we never had anything to worry about knowing that Tyler was always around to make sure Zoe was well taken care of! 2. He's responsive! Tyler is a busy guy. He has lots of dogs and responsibilities, but he always gets back to our emails or texts in a timely manner. We often rely on him to stay overnight with Zoe when we are out of town, and sometimes end up texting him or emailing him last minute. He is always willing to adjust his schedule if possible to be able to pet sit for Zoe, and if he ever can't do it, he's always ready and willing to recommend someone else that he trusts. 3. He's reliable! I once got a call from a neighbor during the middle of the day that our fire alarm was going off, and everyone had to evacuate. I was concerned about Zoe being in the house, and I couldn't get home from work. I called Tyler, and he went out of his way to go over to my condo and get Zoe out of the house. He then kept her with him until I got home from work, so I wouldn't have to worry about her in case the alarm went off again. (It was a false alarm, luckily!) He always goes above and beyond and doesn't hesitate to help us out in a pinch, mainly because he loves the dogs so much! 4. He loves Zoe as if she were his own dog! Tyler cares for all the dogs so much. It's obvious with the way he interacts with them, wants them to have a fun day, and will limit his dog groups to only six dogs at a time so he can take them to all the best places. Tyler even gave Zoe a nickname because he cares about her so much! 5. He sends pictures! Tyler takes and posts amazing pictures and videos of the dogs throughout the day on Instagram. There's nothing better than scrolling through my feed while at work and seeing Zoe running and playing with all her friends at the park. It's truly the next best thing to getting to be out there with her myself! When Tyler started Red Dog Run, I knew without hesitation that Zoe would be going with him. We are so lucky to have found Tyler, and I know Zoe agrees too! ;) read more

Tyler is an absolute great guy and someone I couldn't recommend or trust more. He has been taking care of our dog since she was 10 weeks old and she absolutely adores him and loves going out with him and his crew. It is fantastic knowing that he can always be there in a pinch for us and is more than willing to go the extra mile whether that is keeping her late if we can't get home, grabbing her from the house when a fire alarm went off, or puppy sitting last minute for us. And most importantly, it is very clear that he cares deeply about the dogs as if they are his own and it shows both to the puppy owners and to the dogs. Tyler has been taking care of my Border Terrier Louie since August 2015 when we moved to a new location and our current walker wasn't able to service the area. We met and took a walk on Crissy Field so that we could all get to know each other, and within minutes Louie was completely convinced that Tyler was the one!! Tyler is incredibly dependable and easy to reach via text, phone or email. You can tell that he treats Louie as if he was his own dog, and Louie is excited every time Tyler comes to take him out. We are on a "double shift" which means Louie gets to go out on two shifts, meaning he comes home completely beat...which is what that energetic dog needs! Tyler is professional and personable, and whenever I might have a problem with Louie's sometimes sensitive tummy, Tyler is quick to help us figure out the solve. ABSOLUTELY HIRE TYLER! Tyler is amazing with my dog. I adopted my cocker spaniel from a rescue about two years ago. He had a few medical issues, a lot of socialization issues, and crazy high energy. Biggest issue: Toby had never been around any other dogs before . Tyler was great with him from the start. He worked with me a ton on getting Toby properly socialized and feeling safe. Tyler walking toby everyday has created a great routine for my pooch. I like it because I know that Toby is well cared for and having fun and getting good and tired from an active day out in the sun. He is super knowledgeable about dogs and has been working with him on some basic training - impulse control, drop, etc. Our dog LOVES Tyler and his pack of friends. Tyler is great. He's very professional, responsive and lets us know how the daily adventure goes. If our dog gets messy, he hoses him off before bringing him home. Our dog, Aussie, loves his play days w/Tyler and the gang! Tyler has been walking him since he was 3 months old and he's now 3 years old and still loving it! Aussie always comes home from his walks, gets a big drink, and then passes out for a few hours - clearly spent from his afternoon of fun! My husband and I love Red Dog Run because Tyler truly cares for his dogs. If Aussie ever turns a paw, gets a scratch, etc. during his play day, Tyler lets us know right away and always offers to take Aussie to our vet for a check-up. Tyler is completely dependable and sticks to his schedule so we never have to worry whether Aussie has been left at home alone for too long. Tyler is always flexible about picking up Aussie earlier too if my husband and I have to start our days earlier than normal. But the best part is Tyler's 'proof of fun' photos he posts every day - we love seeing what our 'Fur Sir' has been up to during the day.
