Jee Ja Jees - Kegworth Complaint…read more On Saturday 10th December we were on a weekend break in Long Whetton nr Loughborough. We decided to order (#611796059) a takeaway for two from Jee ja jees Kegworth . We placed the order a 6.30pm with estimated delivery time of 8.00pm (90mins). By 8.15pm we were starting to get hungry however there was no sign of our delivery so we called the restaurant to chase the order. The restaurant assured us they would deliver with in 10mins or less? By 8.40pm still nothing had arrived so we were told a blatant lie by the restaurant. Finally at 8.45pm we received our food - two and a quarter hours after our online order. Terrible service. The food was average nothing special at all and by the time it arrived with all the hassle and chasing we didn't enjoy the meal at all. To add insult to injury they charged £2.50 for delivery.

With high backed leather chairs, and a selection of tables and booths to cater for small or large groups, the Jaipur has widespread appeal. It is extremely popular over Friday night and the weekend, so its definitely advisable to book a table. It can get so busy on a Saturday night that it can lead to bottlenecks of traffic! Having eaten in the restaurant and picked up a takeaway on many occasions, I cannot recommend the Jaipur highly enough! The staff are friendly and helpful, and are all too happy to explain some of the more unusual dishes. The menu is comprehensive, with a good blend of old favourites and new specials. Starters can be shared or individual; the garlic mushrooms with spiced potato cakes are particularly moreish! Main courses are generous in proportion, without being huge, but its the flavour of the dishes that will blow you away! The blending of the spices are just right, even a standard korma is full of flavour, while the more fiery dishes like jalfrezi will liven your palette with exotic spices! If you can fit in a dessert, there's the standard selection, including the traditional Kulfi. Takeaways are pick up only and are usually ready within 20-30 minutes. They are of restaurant quality and best of all there is a 15% discount on takeaways! The Jaipur really has only one small downside, when the restaurant is full, individual tables can feel a little too close together
