Cards and gifts stolen throughout the evening and no follow through, empathy or apologies from event center. (They did now put in cameras. Make sure they are operating) Review your contract to make sure you are not over charged for beverages/beer not served. Make sure your guests are aware of all complimentary beverages from the bar. They do not promote or acknowledge them to your guests. This was experienced personally and by many family members and guests. Make sure that your guests are charged consistently and getting credit for what the drink tickets are actually worth. Employees family members are not invited guests with their children and stay through the entire event?? Make sure your guests are safe we had an unfortunate incident and security was questionable at the hands of those locking up. There were many pieces to the contract not met that were spoken, broken doors, areas not repaired, groomed as promised by event center manager. Bar manager rude to our kind guests and families of the couple. Wgtn needs the event center we are certain there are good staff there. When we posted "we need your help" (for info on stolen cards and gifts) on their site one manager posted a laughing emoji. Also posted negative comments of the couple on FB then removed. Private messages sent to family of couple. Unprofessional and inappropriate. We also had as parents of the bride had no suite?? I personally confirmed it 2x. What was to be a most special, blessing and day of love, still brings sadness and yes still blessed. Other couples reached out privately to let us know of their poor/some of the same experiences'as well. Many of the same, but never reported. Wgtn Event Center~ who ever manages your center and managers... Wgtn deserves better, as did our children. The day ceremony still special and beautiful but some clouds over some of our joy. Beautiful place and much needed. It took awhile to do this but it needs to be shared so it does not happen to anyone else. Thank you

If you are disabled like me, you will appreciate the easy parking close to your room. The second-floor rooms require stairs, however. I stayed in room 107 and was astonished to find a lovely whirlpool tub next to the bed. I can't get in or out of one of those, but the standard tub shower was easily accessible. I didn't think to ask for an accessible room, so I guess I lucked out. Must be my charming personality. Security is limited to your door lock, which is electronic. The entry doors are not locking, probably because the guests damage them. Management probably has a hard time keeping up with maintenance because it's expensive if you don't personally have those skills. Yes, the place could use a $200K makeover, but then it wouldn't be affordable for travelers. I enjoyed meeting the lady at the desk and would have liked to get to know her if either of us had the time. While I wouldn't choose this location for a long-term stay, it was perfect for a single travel night. It was also amazingly quiet for a Saturday night. AND, close by the Tesla Supercharger at the HyVee.

This Days Inn has the rare privilege of being THE WORST PROPERTY WE HAVE EVER BEEN TO. We stayed at the Days Inn, 207 Oxford St, Worthington MN 56187 - checking in on July 11th - out on the 12th. Following are some of the things we encountered in Room 330: the lobby is NOTHING like the photos (some copy & paste work here), lamp shades in the room were stained - one with a broken shade (only lamp one worked), light fixture above the sink didn't work, microwave sparked when we put popcorn in it (the glass turntable was missing), bathroom was dirty with a missing towel rack (holes in the wall where the towel rack was), toilet paper dispenser was broken, thick with black flies (they did give us a fly swatter) which allowed us to kill flies a better part of the night. When we were checking out we met someone checking in and they asked up what we thought of the property - we told "turn around and find someplace else or sleep in the car - it is not worth it". It is very unfortunate to see the Days Inn brand diluted to this point - a very sad situation.

I drove into Worthington, MN late one evening after an unexpected tornado detoured me from my…read moreoriginal lodging in Nebraska. After stopping in a grocery store parking lot to figure out what hotels were in town, I chose this Travelodge as my cheapest option. (I paid $75 for a double, which was $10-40 cheaper than the other hotels.) When I checked in, the woman at the counter was efficient and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and relatively spacious, with two queen beds and a large-ish bathroom. The only negative was a curtain which was difficult to close completely, not too helpful on a ground floor room. The air conditioning was loud but cold (and the noise probably helps, since you are close to the highway, although I was so beat after a few days of camping in the rain that I'd have slept through anything). Beds were comfy and came equipped with spare pillows and lots of hangers upon which to dry my soaking clothes and blankets. Their indoor pool looked large and well-maintained, although I did not swim so I couldn't say for sure. The real reason for the four stars? Their outstanding free breakfast. They really go all out, and it made my day. In addition to toast, cereal, and coffee, they also had juice, waffles, and supplies to build your own breakfast sandwiches (cooked egg patties, sausage, and cheese, along with English muffins and bagels). I grabbed an apple, a banana, and a couple of hard-boiled eggs to go when I left. It might not seem like a big thing, but saving myself from yet another crappy road-food breakfast was great. One thing though: Worthington *stinks*. I mean it literally smells terrible. I am guessing this is because it is the turkey capital of the country? Driving around, the air stunk like a burned-out clutch. The hotel didn't contain a whiff of it, though. Thank god for that.

THE POOL IS CLOSED. In August. No mention on the website…read more Under the beds in our room was a pair of sandals and an external hard drive, and a cheeto. Indicating to me the room hadn't been cleaned since before the previous guest. (We found the sandals and hard drive just before we checked out. When we gave them to the front desk they said no one had called about them. Really? Not even the hard drive?) We got 2 queen beds, which were comfy enough, but the mattresses were super loudly CREAKY. Is that from old springs or what? Pilly, thin sheets. AC was loud but the room was cool enough that we didn't need to use it while the kids were sleeping. The hotel as a whole needs basic maintenance (e.g., doors that don't lock) and a facelift. The rooms are depressingly dark--maroon/black carpet and bedspreads make me feel like there are stains that need to be camouflaged. On the plus side: - the staff are very nice - breakfast was pretty good, with cheesy scrambled eggs, very fresh whole wheat bagels (yay fiber!), microwave-your-own sausage patty, chocolate syrup for your milk or coffee, plus the usual other stuff. Bottom line: This place was way overpriced ($104.99 + tax, via Travelocity).

The manager is very friendly and helpful. We had a 2-room suite (there are no single rooms, just two 2-room suites). The room was spacious and the bathroom had plenty of flat space to lay out our stuff (all too often there is nowhere to put makeup, toothbrushes, etc.) Breakfast was continental unless you wanted to make it yourself, in which case the manager would buy whatever you wanted, leave it in the refrigerator, and allow full access to the kitchen. Since we had plenty of time, I chose that option and served us a very delicious green pepper and cheese omelet and fresh blackberries and strawberries. And the manager did the dishes!!! : )

The website had room prices but directed people to call for the price and to reserve a room, so I did andleft a voicemail. I also emailed the next day. After 3 days of not hearing anything I emailed again. After another day I attempted to call, but couldn't get through I must have called 25 times. I decided to block my number and call, the call went right through. ..... I left another message. At that point I was ready to give up but didn't just yet. I found their Facebook page that hadn't posted in almost a month and sent a message. Someone responsed quicky. I told them my issues and they said they would make sure someone called me back the next day. Gail called me back and told me she had been out all week and this was her first time checking the voice mail (ummmm ok) she said the prices were the same as the website and at then there was awkward silence, she wanted to hang up. she then did ask when I wanted to stay and when I told her, she informed me that she might be on vacation at that time so I wouldn't be able to book a room, to call back in a few days. .. I'm sure after all that it wasn't worth my time. It's too bad becuase I was really looking forward to it.
