Cards and gifts stolen throughout the evening and no follow through, empathy or apologies from event center. (They did now put in cameras. Make sure they are operating) Review your contract to make sure you are not over charged for beverages/beer not served. Make sure your guests are aware of all complimentary beverages from the bar. They do not promote or acknowledge them to your guests. This was experienced personally and by many family members and guests. Make sure that your guests are charged consistently and getting credit for what the drink tickets are actually worth. Employees family members are not invited guests with their children and stay through the entire event?? Make sure your guests are safe we had an unfortunate incident and security was questionable at the hands of those locking up. There were many pieces to the contract not met that were spoken, broken doors, areas not repaired, groomed as promised by event center manager. Bar manager rude to our kind guests and families of the couple. Wgtn needs the event center we are certain there are good staff there. When we posted "we need your help" (for info on stolen cards and gifts) on their site one manager posted a laughing emoji. Also posted negative comments of the couple on FB then removed. Private messages sent to family of couple. Unprofessional and inappropriate. We also had as parents of the bride had no suite?? I personally confirmed it 2x. What was to be a most special, blessing and day of love, still brings sadness and yes still blessed. Other couples reached out privately to let us know of their poor/some of the same experiences'as well. Many of the same, but never reported. Wgtn Event Center~ who ever manages your center and managers... Wgtn deserves better, as did our children. The day ceremony still special and beautiful but some clouds over some of our joy. Beautiful place and much needed. It took awhile to do this but it needs to be shared so it does not happen to anyone else. Thank you

I never used the shower or sink or spent anytime in this room just slept. After I checked out I was charged $385 on my card. If you are disabled like me, you will appreciate the easy parking close to your room. The second-floor rooms require stairs, however. I stayed in room 107 and was astonished to find a lovely whirlpool tub next to the bed. I can't get in or out of one of those, but the standard tub shower was easily accessible. I didn't think to ask for an accessible room, so I guess I lucked out. Must be my charming personality. Security is limited to your door lock, which is electronic. The entry doors are not locking, probably because the guests damage them. Management probably has a hard time keeping up with maintenance because it's expensive if you don't personally have those skills. Yes, the place could use a $200K makeover, but then it wouldn't be affordable for travelers. I enjoyed meeting the lady at the desk and would have liked to get to know her if either of us had the time. While I wouldn't choose this location for a long-term stay, it was perfect for a single travel night. It was also amazingly quiet for a Saturday night. AND, close by the Tesla Supercharger at the HyVee.

My family and I recently stayed at the AmericInn in Worthington, Minnesota, and unfortunately our…read moreexperience was very disappointing. From the beginning, we encountered issues with unexpected pet fees that had not been clearly communicated. While I understand that hotels have policies, the way our questions were handled felt dismissive rather than customer-focused. The most concerning part of our stay involved what appeared to be the owner or manager. After I made a respectful comment about the importance of transparency regarding fees, I was followed down the hallway, yelled at, and threatened with eviction. This was both intimidating and unprofessional, especially with my wife and three children staying at the hotel. Other incidents added to our concerns. One of my children was threatened with a $100 charge for taking a small box of cereal shortly after breakfast hours had ended. Requests for additional towels were met with resistance, and when we asked for housekeeping service after sleeping in one morning, I was spoken to in a raised voice and told we would have to wait because we had slept late. At checkout, I requested an itemized receipt but was told one could not be provided because the owner was not present. As a paying guest, I found this frustrating and unacceptable. The facility itself may have potential, but customer service and professionalism are essential in the hospitality industry. Unfortunately, the repeated confrontational interactions made my family feel unwelcome throughout our stay. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this location and hope management takes these concerns seriously to improve how guests are treated in the future.

There is a diagonal grab bar installed on the rear wall of the bath tub. Not only does that grab bar become unusable - it's completely slippery when wet so you cannot "grab" it - it's against Minnesota Building code to have a diagonal grab bar. When attempting to get out of the tub after a shower, I fell. Nothing broken, but there were some very tense moments of assessing possible damage (to me) and then trying to figure out how I was going to get up. I've written to the hotel and to the CEO of AmericInn and have not received any feedback. I will never stay at an AmericInn again - anywhere or anytime. I'll sleep in my car first. And I'm 79.

After stopping in a grocery store parking lot to figure out what hotels were in town, I chose this Travelodge as my cheapest option. (I paid $75 for a double, which was $10-40 cheaper than the other hotels.) When I checked in, the woman at the counter was efficient and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and relatively spacious, with two queen beds and a large-ish bathroom. The only negative was a curtain which was difficult to close completely, not too helpful on a ground floor room. The air conditioning was loud but cold (and the noise probably helps, since you are close to the highway, although I was so beat after a few days of camping in the rain that I'd have slept through anything). Beds were comfy and came equipped with spare pillows and lots of hangers upon which to dry my soaking clothes and blankets. Their indoor pool looked large and well-maintained, although I did not swim so I couldn't say for sure. The real reason for the four stars? Their outstanding free breakfast. They really go all out, and it made my day. In addition to toast, cereal, and coffee, they also had juice, waffles, and supplies to build your own breakfast sandwiches (cooked egg patties, sausage, and cheese, along with English muffins and bagels). I grabbed an apple, a banana, and a couple of hard-boiled eggs to go when I left. It might not seem like a big thing, but saving myself from yet another crappy road-food breakfast was great. One thing though: Worthington *stinks*. I mean it literally smells terrible. I am guessing this is because it is the turkey capital of the country? Driving around, the air stunk like a burned-out clutch. The hotel didn't contain a whiff of it, though. Thank god for that.

Indicating to me the room hadn't been cleaned since before the previous guest. (We found the sandals and hard drive just before we checked out. When we gave them to the front desk they said no one had called about them. Really? Not even the hard drive?) We got 2 queen beds, which were comfy enough, but the mattresses were super loudly CREAKY. Is that from old springs or what? Pilly, thin sheets. AC was loud but the room was cool enough that we didn't need to use it while the kids were sleeping. The hotel as a whole needs basic maintenance (e.g., doors that don't lock) and a facelift. The rooms are depressingly dark--maroon/black carpet and bedspreads make me feel like there are stains that need to be camouflaged. On the plus side: - the staff are very nice - breakfast was pretty good, with cheesy scrambled eggs, very fresh whole wheat bagels (yay fiber!), microwave-your-own sausage patty, chocolate syrup for your milk or coffee, plus the usual other stuff. Bottom line: This place was way overpriced ($104.99 + tax, via Travelocity).

The owner is a nice guy, & gave us a decent weekly rate of $275.00. The room has all the amenities needed for WORK, but the room has a dirty feel to it, just plan to use disinfectant wipes to clean everything which you should do in any motel room anyways. I was on the lower level & my ceiling had obvious previous water damage, so I kept having drywall falling onto my table from people walking upstairs (had to keep my laptop covered with a towel), the owner said they are in the process of repairs upstairs & will then repair the downstairs rooms drywall issues. Uh thats fine but while you're staying there all that runs thru your mind is 'WTH'! The AC, fridge/microwave & TV all worked fine though, as did the shower with plenty of hot water. They have 1 washing machine & 1 dryer in the rear building where long term people are living, so you may have trouble getting an open machine to do laundry, I would try odd hours to do it which is what I did with no problems. This place is ok for work, however I do NOT recommend this motel for vacation traveling or passing thru for a night unless you're on a strict budget.
