They had lots of slots, a big bar, a room for poker, and of course pool tables. The tables were a little run down (fast greens), but games were cheaper than back home at only a dollar. I got a full order of boneless wings and they were pretty good for bar food. Overall, a decent experience at The Grandstand.

I think they are calling this area south of the railroad tracks "Old Town" now, and in a decade or so this place could be interesting, though all the growth in Billings seems to be further west end sprawl. The usual video poker and keno machines line the wall, and there is a pool table in the back room. The requisite dead animal heads are above the bar also. Live animials seem welcome here too, with at least four friendly dogs spotted on the Friday night I was there. This included "Little Joe", a well mannered black pomeranian named after the Bonanza character. They had some Montana beers in the bottle, though the usual macro brews on tap.
