I will definitely return if I have to find a thoughtful and special gift for a birthday, Christmas or baby shower. I liked how each shelf was a vibe. There was a section with "plant lady" gifts for the friend or loved one that is talented in the garden. They had a rather large area filled will baby clothes, toys, and the recently popular Jellycat plushies (they were SUPER soft). I personally love going to a boutique like this to find a gift rather than ordering online. A Pocket Full of Posies is hidden as I discovered it while on my way to Perk On Main. It's located INSIDE the Main Street Market building. There is, conveniently, a large parking lot with access from the backside of the building. They will make a new cut and wrap it in netting for easy transport. They also have a small gift shop inside. I bought the cutest painted wood box with a snowman kit inside for my niece. I've always had terrific service and they do a good job of curating kids' books. On more than one occasion, my son picked out a book to later discover that it was an author-signed copy. This massive bookstore is located right in downtown Middletown and has a massive selection of fiction, non-fiction, romance, horror, and every other genre you can possibly want at a book store. Downstairs seems to be pretty much only Wesleyan merch which doesn't exactly interest me, but is a cool spot to have as a student or even just downtown who lives in the area. The design of this store is big open floor and it's very nicely decorated. The best part? The haunted Connecticut section that we just had to get something out of. Overall, the Wesleyan RJ Julia Bookstore is the perfect book store for downtown Middletown. The store has a massive selection, a ton of parking thanks to the downtown parking setup, and a solid staff to help with whatever questions you may have. Great spot.
