For someone who claims to have been in business as long as he has, you wouldn't know it by the way…read morehe treats his paying customers. I would not recommend him to anybody after being talked to rudely over the phone and through emails. Apparently, he's shortstaffed these days, and unable to deliver firewood within a reasonable amount of time. By that, I mean one month or less. I ordered on October 1st (thinking that would be enough advance notice to have some wood before winter) only to get it on February 1st. That took a phone call to get too. By that time, winter is half over here in KC, so what was the point? I obviously didn't mean enough to him to get it here in time. That's not how you get repeat business. A bad attitude will kill a business quicker than anything I now. You can't "cherry pick" your customers. Go elsewhere for wood, is my recommendation. You can have the best wood in town and it still won't matter if you treat people poorly.

I wanted to order her a beautiful flower arrangement and came upon the Bergamot & Ivy Website. I knew I had to order from them just looking through the website. Not only did we order our daughter flowers then, we have since ordered 4 other times with each order having a specific request. Never have we been disappointed in the interactions when ordering, the final cost, the quality of the arrangements and the amazing creativity displayed in each arrangement. This recent order was due to our daughter moving to the Hyde Park area this Christmas. When I called and spoke to Sarah (which is always a wonderful experience!) I explained only the color preferences. When we arrived to visit our daughter on this December 23rd and I was able to see the arrangements that Bergamot & Ivy had created and delivered I was in absolute awe! The most amazing thing was how perfectly the arrangements fit in her new home on Janssen Place! Absolutely stunning! Worth every cent spent. Once again an epic masterpiece! I thank God I was fortunate enough to "discover " this florist. And, yes our daughter loved the arrangements too! See for yourself. Thank you all at Bergamot & Ivy for once again being the only florist I will ever order from in KC! I just wish I could have you in every city or town the special people God has woven in our lives live!

I have driven by this store a million times over the years but never had reason to stop in. I sure am glad my friend was going rabbit shopping because this store is a gem. You take a step back in time when you enter the doors. It is like an old timey feed store that makes you wish for simpler times. Trust me, though, there is nothing simple about this store. They care so much stick and inventory that it is overwhelming. I did not know where to start with the shelves stacked so high. They seemed to have a little of everything for any kind of farm animal you can imagine. There was horse feed, dog leashes, at collars, bird baths and that is just the surface. I asked the proprietor for help and he knew exactly what to get for my friend. He asked Just the right questions. He was patient and humorous with me. I could tell he knew exactly what I needed. He sacked up some feed and sent me on my merry way. While I was in the store I noticed this man knew people by name. They came in and he had their usual orders ready to go. Very nice. It is heartwarming these stores are still around. Highly recommend this store for your animal or gardening needs. It's pretty amazing and you don't even have to have a rabbit to get great service.

We loved the table lamps and candles, gave the evening a dinner party feel, which is what was wanted. My biggest complaint is my daughter had very specific requests of colors and flowers. The designer didn't listen, even after having a final consultation a month before the wedding and inspiration pictures. The flowers for our event were beautiful, but not what was requested. We even requested a certain flower not be used and it was. I get the impression they will cater more toward the bigger budgets and have set formulas of what they do. They were very prompt and had an excellent crew to set up and tear down. Our designer didn't entirely listen and although we were happy with the outcome, we weren't felt heard. If I had to do it again though, I would probably look somewhere else as I didn't feel that important to them.
