Dr Jacob Weigle was amazing throughout my 3 visits (initial, procedure, follow up). I went a week…read moreago for a root canal. I've never had one before and I didn't know what to expect; but he explained everything honestly well. My first visit was just the initial visit. To tell me how much my insurance would cover, what would be done, ask if I had any additional questions and schedule me for my root canal. The procedure visit wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and I could drive myself, as it was just local anesthetic. When I arrived, they took me back and put some gel numbing on the areas where the needles for the local anesthetic would go. Dr Weigle did 4 injections, two on the roof of my mouth and two where the root canal needed to happen. While the first 2 injections felt like a small pinch, he used 30 gauge needles, which are very small needles. Once everything was numbed up, he was able to get to work. He explained everything along the way; so that I wasn't surprised. He bleached the inside of my tooth and put a temporary filling on. It took around 1.5 hrs from start to finish. The follow up visit was to check if the whiting of my tooth was met to my satisfaction. Everything seemed to look great, so Dr Weigle took out the temporary filling, cleaned my tooth out and put in a permanent filling. The visit took maybe 20-30 minutes. If you are looking for a dentist to get some extra work done that your normal dentist doesn't do, please go to Dr Jacob Weigle's office. He was kind, gentle and thorough.

0 stars. I have anxiety, which they were fully aware of. I was having an attack when my sedatives…read moreweren't working, and I still felt pain when they put the freeze on my tooth. After that, Dr. Carmen said that my anxiety was annoying him, and that it was my fault that I was not sedated-- despite me following the procedure given to me at the pharmacy. So yeah, it could've gone better. I called later that afternoon to apologize. Everyone else who works there is truly a gem. Everyone there, except for Dr. Carmen, was understanding of my condition and was patient with me. This place could be a great place to have work done. Maybe I was just unlucky and caught Dr. Carmen on a bad day. Maybe give this place a chance. Although, if you suffer from mental illness, I would strongly encourage you to specifically ask for Dr. Weigel, or anyone who isn't Dr. Carmen.

I was referred to Dr. Carman by my dentist after developing cold sensitivity and pain in a tooth…read morethat required decay repair and a new crown. Unfortunately I've had numerous root canals but this was my first appointment at Lexington Endodontics. I was thoroughly impressed with the steps followed by Dr. Carman and his staff to understand my problem. My dental assistant Sara did cold and bite testing on several teeth in the area of sensitivity as well as taking several x-rays to help confirm the problem teeth. After sharing her observations with Dr. Carman, the doctor had a detailed discussion with me regarding my teeth. In addition to a treatment plan he shared techniques with me to help recognize future root canal symptoms before permanently seating new crowns. My experience with this practice was markedly different than that of a previous reviewer. I found Dina (the person handling scheduling and billing) both courteous and professional. It's easy to become frustrated with staff when you're experiencing pain and can't have your problem resolved as quickly as you'd like, but many of the best health care professionals are booked weeks in advance due to their skills and expertise. I find that as you build a relationship with a practice they are often more than willing to show flexibility in their scheduling, according to your needs. Additionally I get far better results when I am kind, courteous, and patient. I highly recommend this practice and it's staff...so much so that I'm considering looking for a new dentist with the same skill set. Do yourself a favor and give them a call for all your Endodontic needs!

This doctor is sexist and his staff is beyond insensitive. "Doctor" Carman proceeded to tell me he…read moredoesn't see many men for veneers because they aren't as vain. Let that sink in. I got veneers years ago because of an enamel issue caused by Invisalign and a previous dental tooth whitening combined. Unusual yes. But not a vanity issue. This office's use of a frozen wand to identify teeth sensitivity should be qualified as a torture device. No pain medicine given. No warning about pain. Then the actual root canal. I was told to take two pain/anxiety relief medications and bring one for the procedure. I asked for the extra medication during the procedure and was told, "I don't think you need it." My referring dentist will be told in full about this office. Horrible experience overall.

Let me clarify that this endodontist (Dr. Kelly Walker) nor anyone at this location performed the original root canal. So this specialist was needed to correct a problem that occurred with the original root canal. The experience here was wonderful. Before she started anything, we discussed the anxiety that could occur because of this procedure. She was glad that I disclosed this issue because it changed her procedure just a little. She offered to take short breaks during the procedure, if necessary. I can't believe that there was no pain at all because she numbed me so very well and she was not rough during the procedure. I only felt slight pressure during the entire process (drilling thru the crown, scraping out the infected pulp and cleaning up). Even as the drugs began to wear off, the pain was not excruciating. I recommend this endodontist wholeheartedly.

I never take the time to write reviews, but I would highly recommend going here! I called the same…read moreday and disclosed to them that I am pregnant and I'm in a lot of pain and I need a root canal to be preformed ASAP... they got me in that same morning. My tooth was infected and my face was starting to swell. I am so glad I called this office and she got me out of pain. She did a very great job on my root canal and kept making sure I was okay and calm because my anxiety gets to me sometimes when I'm having dental work done. She's very sweet and gentle. She also explained EVERYTHING before she went in and did my root canal. Highly recommend!!!
