We just worked with Cody and his team to do a major landscaping update for our property. The…read moreproject included over 40 trees and plants. It also included a timed irrigation system. They even included all of our existing plants in the irrigation work. The work exceeded our expectations. It looks fantastic. The plants are high quality, healthy and look great. Cody and his team were on time when they promised and completed all the work in 3 days. We highly recommend Aurora. We have some other plans to work with him later in the year for some hardscape work on our patio. The cost of their plants and work was way below the quotes we had from other nurseries in the area.

Three days later, I called & was told "we have this posted about no returns/exchanges". I did not see it nor was told nor received a receipt for the over the phone purchase. I should never have accepted the plant, but was in a hurry that day. I can't believe they would not do an exchange 3 days later when it was still in the pot. I will never order again from them. No wonder their business seems little off from years ago.

I spend way too much money here. It adds up quick. You can go for just a few things or with a…read morebudget in mind like $100...last time I went to get some violets and cone flowers and spent $200.... I especially love their houseplant selection, I have nearly 100 different houseplants and many of them came from here including a bunch of carnivorous plants, my favorite being butterwort and drosera. They probably have one of the best tropical and houseplant selections within a few hundred miles. My girlfriend and I often go together and spend $300 each per trip. Their outdoor plant selection is even bigger. They don't have very many aquatic plants but they do carry a few. I usually buy a ton of perennials for my yard and front garden each year and a few annuals. The one thing I will not buy here is trees. Their trees are quite a bit over priced and they don't stand behind them. We spent a few thousand dollars on trees last year, many of them $100+ each and we had about 20% of them die within a year. For paying that much more and having no warranty, you are better off going almost anywhere else. And they will not cut you a deal if you want to buy a bunch to line a driveway or fence line like Adcock's and some other nurseries will. The only time I've had them give me a deal is if they've had something sit for a year or more. They have a great selection of pots and statues as well and they are also premium priced. I sometimes get one or two here if I see something unique and cool but mostly I buy that stuff elsewhere. They have a great rare area, most of that stuff is in the main building where the restroom and bird supplies are. As it would be anywhere else, that stuff is expensive but you can get plants that you won't see anywhere else. The staff is extremely helpful. Brianna is a favorite as she posts new items in a local FB group highlighting all the cool new plants coming in.

They also have some tacky concrete statues to add to your yard, if your into that. I was going to buy one I saw on our last visit but they didn't have it this time. It was gargoyle and in big letters at the base it said "GO AWAY" Lol! They also have clean restrooms, cold drinks and ice cream. On this trip we scored one of the sweetest cantaloupes we have had all year, some plump, juicy tomatoes that made some great BLT's and some silver queen corn. The wife also picked ups some Bee Balm and Lantana to add to the flower garden to attract more bees, butterflies and humming birds. We bought all of that for just a little over $18.00 incl. tax. All staff we have dealt with have been friendly and thanks us for shopping there. If you are coming down Hwy 74 (Andrew Jackson Hwy) from the SC beaches stop in, unless that is you don't like farm fresh produce, along with plants and flowers at reasonable prices.

Having come from a different growing zone, I am very appreciative of their shared local experiences. This establishment has become my favorite source for all things flora. The quality is unmatched in Fayetteville, and the prices are competitive. For comparable plants I would be paying nearly double at larger retailers. In addition to vegetables, flowers, and herbs, we purchased our Christmas tree here in 2012. Historically we have cut down our own tree, but due to illness were unable to last year. We were thrilled with the lot's selection. The trees were healthy and had only been cut down two weeks prior--and this was the week before the holiday. We might be changing the tradition again this year.

And every year I would buy my beloved tarragon from them. It's an important herb in my culinary repertoire so I always make sure to have my name on a list at Gulley's to be contacted when it comes in and put ten plants aside for me. As well this year as I have done every year for nine years, I call each Monday as herb deliveries come in to check if it is in. Each week they said it will probably be in next week. Well it came in, no call, no put aside plants on a Friday. Monday I called and they had sold it all and would not be getting more. It really sucked. I scoured every grower in Nc with no luck. Finally Big bloomers in Tramway got a small shipment. So I bought from them. Unfortunately theirs was from seed which will not grow to any usable size. Good tarragon is grown from grafts. This might seem like a minor gripe to some but it truly sucked. I'd like to continue patronizing them but I feel it might be more advantageous to go direct to their grower and track their shipments in the state. So for now....bye bye Gulleys
