She communicated well, was very efficient, and made a point of documenting what was going on throughout the process. Our house was under contract after just five days on the market. From there, the transaction was very smooth and we didn't run into any problems. Carolyn kept us informed and handled everything very thoroughly. Selling a home involves a lot of details, so having a realtor who communicated well and documented what was happening was important to us. Carolyn was an awesome realtor, and we had a very good experience working with her on the sale of our home.

Unfortunately, the reality of working with her was far less positive. Many of the promises made early on were not fulfilled. We often had to do our own research to obtain key information necessary for decision-making and we never felt that she was consistently working in our best interests. Judy was not proactive; we had to repeatedly remind her about tasks she was responsible for and push for follow-ups that should have been handled without prompting. She was also forgetful and we frequently found ourselves having to restate the same points as if they had never been discussed before. Her recommended handyman who repainted our house, was unprofessional and careless. He damaged several items, including the bathtub diverter and a handrail and ruined our curtains. We ultimately had to pay for repairs to fix his mistakes. Moreover, he reacted defensively whenever problems with his work were pointed out. On a positive note, her plumber, from BST Mechanical, was professional, reliable, and did excellent work. Another disappointment was the lack of promised communication after closing. We had been told we would receive a follow-up call, but instead learned through the title company that the closing had been finalized. We had completed the e-sign process days earlier because we were out of state. We cannot say with certainty what influenced Judy's approach to us as clients. However, we cannot ignore the question of whether our treatment was shaped, consciously or unconsciously by factors such as our background or perceived circumstances. Whatever the reason, the overall experience was frustrating, stressful and deeply unsatisfying. We are simply relieved that it is over.

Her professionalism, expertise, and above all, her high integrity won my trust and gave me peace of mind. I had not purchased a home in several years, so the process was at times somewhat overwhelming and confusing. Despite this, she was always extremely patient in answering all of my questions; clearly explaining anything, even more than once, whenever I asked.  As a very busy mother of two teens with a demanding job, her diligence and reliability were invaluable to me. She sincerely looked out for my best interests and dedicated numerous hours and energy on my behalf. As a real estate agent, I am sure she had other clients who also had important needs and potential home purchases that would yield more commission for her than mine. But not for one second did I ever feel that I was not a priority or an inconvenience. She listened to me and understood my needs, which made me feel valued as a client.  If she is not already teaching classes on real estate and client engagement, she definitely should consider doing so, as she is the model that all in the profession should deem as the absolute gold standard.

In this case I had to renovate and sell a property from afar on behalf of an ailing family member who lived on the other side of the country. What's more, she generated multiple, incredibly high-quality offers and ultimately concluded the sale at a price that was more than sixty- thousand dollars over our original price and indeed tens of thousands over even my most optimistic expectations. Cathy brought us five solid offers and in just six days we had a contract for an amount well over the listed price.
