If I could leave zero stars I would, this company was horrible to rent from, the property manager Courtney was always hard to get ahold of, she didn't want to do her job, I had plumbing issues the entire time I lived in my unit, the first week I moved in the toilet backed up into the shower and all Over my house and the property manager complained that she had to work on a Sunday, the water heater went o it the first week, no AC, overcharged me when I moved out, charged me $600 for the kitchen sink backing up, the backyard was an absolute disaster they had no plan on fixing it, the walls would leak when it rained. DO NOT RENT from this place or this company. Zero stars. read more

After numerous attempts to have the house in working order and hundreds of screenshots documenting their carelessness and blunt rudeness, I can say I'd never recommend anyone to rent from these individuals. We had a roof over our heads that had so many holes in it, water was coming into the home through the ceiling. They didn't discount rent or give any breaks on the heating bill for the massive inconvenience this caused and they took weeks to get it fixed. Many other issues with Eileen (I don't recall meeting a rider person). She was very inconvenienced by any reported issue and she expressed much resentment when I went through the home and did my own documented inspection of the quality of the home. Some of these things were basic violations like exposed and bare wiring hanging out of the walls, curtain rods that were broken and not secured properly, the water/ice dispenser on the fridge didn't work, the advertised fireplace was not working and they said it "never had". And the list goes on, I have plenty of receipts of these interactions. Worst place I have ever rented from and the worst customer service. read more

This company is quick to put all the blame on tenants. Their owner recently got upset and unprofessionally blasted a tenant on a social media page for using a legal method to break a lease (Servicemembers Civil Relief Act). Then when Marlene got called out for her post being not only distasteful, but wrong she lashed out telling everyone the tenant had illegally broken the lease. Then she backtracked and said it was an abuse of the SCRA for someone who is retiring from the service to break a lease and subsequently buy a home. (Marlene knowing about them buying the home in the area is also a questionable tactic). read more

I inquired about a property and they called me right back! No other local places did that. They were patient with all my questions and I never felt rushed to make a decision. Marlene worked with me so I could be in the place that felt most like home to me. A month after I move in they called to see if everything was going well and if everything was in working order. Very impressive I'm happy to be working with them! read more

Realty station is a great company to rent though. Whenever we had a issue they got back to us quickly. All this bad reviews Eileen is false , she just does her job well. Just don't mess up your house and if you carpets are so bad that they needed replaced even if you got them cleaned don't blame them. read more

We will be moving soon after renting for 4 years. Eileen has been our Realty Station property management contact the whole time. She has been wonderful. Very professional, exemplary work ethic, and dedicated to her renters, her company and the owners of the property. Any time we have asked a question or needed her assistance she has been there for us. It can be difficult representing the owners and the renters but Eileen ensures the contractural obligations are fairly followed by all involved and theres no problems . We are so fortunate to have had her as our point of contact. The office staff at Realty Station have always been professional and happily answered our questions if we had any. If you're reading the reviews to double check what terrible realty company you're legally tied to then here's just some of the reasons this was the worst renting experience me and my husband have ever experienced: -No online bill payments... that means you have to get a check into their mail box EVERY. MONTH. What out of date and inconvenient business practice! -Don't think about getting your deposit back. Even after you clean -Monthly inspections from Ilene, one of the rudest people I've ever dealt with. Who will look in your drawers, accuse you of painting the outside of the house (really? You honestly accused us of painting (and terribly) the outside walls... when I remember TALKING to you about it when we were doing a walk through of the house when I was just a prospective renter viewing the house.), and almost every weekend give a less than 24 hours notice that she desperately needs to show the house. Thanks. Getting a day off working in the Navy is hard to get. And transitioning out of the service during a maintenance period is hard enough. But now you're telling me I couldn't even stay in the house I pay rent to on my one day off that whole month because of your poor planning? -Constant phone calls from Ilene. (She was barely civil. Usually not, though.) -She literally insulted our decor. One, thanks for thinking I had the free time to decorate. Two, it was my husband's choice. Three, we didn't ask for your opinion on that. -We cleaned the house, touched up paint scuffs (INSIDE, not out.), and now that we're settled we find that out of the 1900 deposit we only got 200 back. And a bill after we had moved out for gas. Thanks for pinning it on us. -Literally every person I've spoken to who is a realtor were APPALLED with the level of neurotic nitpicking. And I've lived in San Diego, Chicago, Washington D.C., upstate NY, and Charleston, SC. And never had an experience as terrible as this. Good Luck to you, too, Realty Station Inc. Would give them zero starts if I could. Eileen Buhl is by far the WORST property manager we have ever dealt with. The entire operation is slow, unmotivated and money-hungry. We had RCW violations in the house we rented that they DID NOT care about in the least. We didnt have access to our breaker box, the property owners would SHUT OFF our water to make sure our bill was low (they had to pay 1/3 since they didnt separate utilities before renting the upstairs from the downstairs unit.) Every email or phone interaction we had with Eileen she gave us threatening tones and/or wording saying if we did not do the smallest request immediately, that they would fine us. Whilst any problems we had ended in slow response and no action DO NOT RENT WITH REALTY STATION. You will regret it. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. They have poor customer service. Repairs get put off and when they do get done they are by shady people. Upon my move out I was denied being present for the inspection then charged $1,613 for bogus charges like missing screens that were not missing, $110 for a key that was returned, $110 for burned out light bulbs, $525 for nail holes in walls (many were present when I moved in). Do yourself a favor and find another property manager, you will regret working with realty station. read more

Unpleasant Experience; Do Not Recommend. I have spent the last two years renting a house under the management of Realty Station. Notwithstanding the beautiful house, amazing owners, and delightful neighborhood, the management and certain personnel of Reality Station made for an extremely unpleasant experience. I would absolutely advise against a homeowner or perspective tenant to deal with Reality Station. To the homeowners in need of property managers: this company will do the absolute minimum in looking after your house. I own a rental house of my own and I would never entrust my house to Realty Station. To perspective tenants: look elsewhere! Please read on to let my experience speak for itself; I will let you decide if this is a company you care to deal with: Marlene is the owner and was the main point of contact. She was incredibly unprofessional and at many times, incredibly rude. When it came time to renew the annual lease, I had to send it back four times for corrections. I asked for the lease to be accurate before I would sign. I told her I would not sign the lease if contained statements that were knowingly false. After the third and fourth time, Marlene raised her voice in a very unpleasant tone and directed her frustration to me. To her credit, she recognized how rude and unprofessional she acted and called later that evening to apologize. Realty Station's lack of responsiveness to maintenance request further underline the company's unprofessionalism. Two were of serious health and safety concerns. There was a failing handrail on the exterior concrete steps that could allow falling down 16+ concrete stairs; we brought the issue to their attention a year ago and never saw it repaired. Additionally, the downstairs plumbing allowed the septic system to vent, leaving a nauseating sewage smell in the downstairs for weeks. We made multiple requests that were dismissed without further inquiry. For more than half of our residency (and still unresolved when we moved out), Realty Station failed to address a bathroom sink that wouldn't drain. We taught the kids to wash their hands elsewhere. The home we rented had beautiful landscaped front and back yards. I was told that $200 of my monthly rent was going towards professional maintenance of the grounds. I paid the extra $200/month, but the yard was given very minimal care. Typically, no one came to tend to the yard until I submitted multiple maintenance requests. The yard got so bad nearby neighbors called the owners directly to report the lack of maintenance. Upon preparation for move-out, I made several inquiries to ensure we conducted everything in accordance with their expectations. By and large, my inquiries were unanswered and when I did receive a reply, I was told they would not clarify. My final correspondence from Marlene, in response to my request to maintain my access to the tenant portal until all transactions were complete, was "please allow us to do our jobs." Ha! I think the irony is clear from the few instances above. Finalizing the move-out process proved to be as unpleasant and unprofessional as our experiences outlined above. In compliance with the lease, I had the carpets, fireplaces and drapes professionally cleaned. The fireplace technician stated the fireplace hadn't been serviced in many years, dating back well before our tenancy started. Clearly, they are holding tenants to a standard they don't hold for themselves. Furthermore, we cleaned the remainder of the house to a condition that was better than we received it. When we received our security deposit disposition, we discovered we were charged for an entire house cleaning. It's bad enough the charges did not align with the stated cleaning charges specifically stated in the lease, but we were also charged for cleaning the carpet and fireplace; if that's not fraud, that is incredibly unethical. Do not conduct business with Realty Station. Take your business to someone that will treat you with respect. read more

This company is terrible. They refuse to conduct proper inspections for mold after we have had continuous unexplained illnesses after moving into the building. The second you disagree with something they say they treat you terribly and try to scare you into submission even if you are correct. They are attempting to charge us for an ESA that they approved of and refuse to take the charges off our account after stating they would when the paper work was finished. They take forever to conduct repairs and will tell you no even if there is clearly an issue going on. Instead of getting professionals to conduct inspections of major issues, they do it themselves and say everything is fine. For the scheduled land lord walk throughs they are constantly cancelling 30 minutes before the scheduled time, coming hours after scheduled time without confirming it is still okay to come, or just ghosting you until the next time they feel like coming. read more

Our family loves Realty station we have bought a house sold a house and bought another house because our family grew we were treated with respect every question we had was answered and if they didn't know the answer they found out we weren't exactly the easiest couple my husband and I wanted two different types of houses and they did their absolute best we ended up finding our Dream Home we have children she went above and beyond finding out what the schools were going to be like for our kids research the HOA away we were moving into... best of all there was no surprises at the end she kept us well informed on every step and everything that we needed to do what the banks needed to do the owners needed to do I would definitely use Realty station again read more

Watch out! Take pictures and document everything. I did and it paid off in court. Judge found in favor of me. They will try and charge you for things that have nothing to do with you. Overall, not the worst property manager we had in the area but I can't recommend doing business with this company because of the following incident: Our heat went out one night when it dipped to the low 20s. I called the "24 hour help line" and left message after message for about four hours until 2:30am - no response. Called the heating person on an emergency call, he came and got the heat working again. Realty Station called back the next morning, at 8am. Realty Station then refused to reimburse the cost of the getting the heat going because I didn't wait for their return call and they have 24 hours to call me back. Yea, you got it - their solution was to have my family freeze because it was inconvenient for them to do their job. Owners: watch out - you may be promised 24 hour service, that's not reality. No one picks up those messages until the office opens. Reality is if the roof begins to leak (also happened), heat goes out or something serious happens - it won't be addressed until office hours - when it's convenient. read more

In my years in the military and having to move around from town to town, this is by far the worst property management company I have ever had to deal with. They do not do a walk through with you prior to your lease is over. If they did do a walk through with you prior, you could fix the 'hits' they have, however they do their own walk through within 14 days of you being out of a place. Tell me that isn't a coincidence. They require you to use a specific company to clean the carpets, not allowing you to shop around and get the best deal from other companies. We have pets, 2 dogs, no matter what, you will be charged against your security deposit a 'pet odor' removal fee, ours was $125, I don't know what they base it on. So having your carpets professionally cleaned isn't good enough. While we were living in this home, the 'fully fenced' yard was a joke. The fence they had on the property had a run of fence that was at about a 45 degree angle leaning into the yard making it dangerous to be near the fence because you never new when it was coming down, or going to bring down other sections of the fence. It took until month 15 of us being at the property for them to fix it and have a whole new fence installed. The dishwasher was out of service from month 11 of us being in the home. They sent a repair man out 2 months after we reported the dishwasher not draining and leaking. The repairman said it needed to be replaced versus the cost of repairs. 6 months later, a month before our lease is up, our property manager asked if there were any outstanding problems with the property. We informed her that the dishwasher issue never solved itself magically. They sent the same repairman out to look at the dishwasher, he got there and left because he remembered our issue and said he would inform the property manager to replace it. So if you want to deal with paying out the a$$ in 'fees' when you leave a property, even if while you were there was just normal wear and tear, if you want to deal with a property manager that doesn't know when your lease is up, if you want to deal with a property manager who doesn't follow through with anything, or deal with a property manager whom doesn't have anything fixed in a timely manner, then this is the property management company for you. For everyone else avoid this place like the plague. As for military members, I am reporting this company to AHRN to have their relationship revoked as they have been horrible with customer service and do not deserve guaranteed military tenants. read more

We are new to the area and Eileen has been the worst property manager I have ever worked with. The pictures of the house we are renting did not AT ALL look like the actual house. It is hideous colors yellow, purple, blue, red, lime green...just too much and we are not aloud to paint even though the paint looks like garbage. We live in a beautiful community and its a shame the house just wasn't kept up with. Attitude from the beginning was terrible and we almost went looking elsewhere. Had I seen this house in person or met this realtor in person, we NEVER would have chosen this to call home. Coming from a customer service oriented background and my own profession, that is the KEY to keep people coming back.. just all around not a great experience. read more

We were tenants through this company for three years. They are up front and make what is expected known. We have said to them numerous times if we could have this company manage our home in another state we would. They treat it as a business, but do a great job taking care of their owners as well as their tenants. Repairs were always handled quickly and done with quality. I wish I thought to review their standing on yelp or google prior to them being my property manager. They have tactfully placed themselves in the worst customer service position I have ever seen. I was told by the employees that worked here that they received minimum wage. With that you get minimum work. They do just below that. Realty station pay equates to an incredibly high employee turnover rate. The person that you have been working with most likely will not be working with you next month. Their office hours are 9AM to 3PM. ~6 hours to include lunch. You must mail or personally deliver your rent to them good luck if you work normal hours. When you do call them, they usually can't help because the person is out of the office or no longer works there. They like to use fear and defensive tactics when in email. Never in my life have I been mad about reading an email from someone who is supposed to work for me, because I pay them. For example: I had some plumbing issues, they didn't get back to me for 2 weeks until I emailed them that I was going to hire a plumber and charge them. They said it was illegal for me to do so and used a lot of CAPS in their email. I wrote post dated checks, I noticed that they like to cash them prior to the post date. I myself never write a check I can't cash, however, when I brought it up they said it was illegal for them to wait to deposit a check. They again used a lot of CAPS. This is in a military town mind you, I suspect they want to catch you in a bounced check so they can charge a fee. I have done this before especially on deployment, I have rented in 6 places in the last 16 years (NAVY) and the landlords and or Property Managers have no problem with this and are happy to do so. However Realty Station will take their sweet time if the check arrives at payday. Take pictures when you arrive on how dirty it is. All the window sliding ledges were dirty, the garage a mess, bathroom was dirty. I left it I would say 200% better than when we received the house. I cleaned all those places and they still charged me. I used a $350 carpet cleaning service they required, and they still charged me for a carpet cleaning. They even charged me for a "refrigerator door handle cleaning" I called and emailed about them giving me receipts from charges so I can see that they actually spent this money. However nothing. I will start with the Manager Marlene Scheffer, is a very pleasant to deal with and good at smoothing over problems, but unfortunately she is not the one you will be dealing with. The office staff are unintelligible about any of the properties and will simply hand you off to that property manager if they are reach able which in my experience they are not for several hours, which is a problem when a rupture occurs in the mater main between the house and the water meter, due to the contractor cutting corners and running pvc to connect the copper pipes, then holding you accountable for the bill for the water loss, that is in the hundreds of dollars. Also Discriminating against single military from renewing their lease simply because they where honest and informed them that they would be transferring some time during the time of the next year. One employee, Eileen Buhl in fact threatened our household with a poor recommendation in the future when applying for housing, for being present while she was showing the house, because of being home sleeping due to working nights and attempting to expeditiously, vacate the house hold due to having to be gone by the end of the month, because of not being allowed to renew our lease for the home. I highly discourage any interaction with this company. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. THEY ARE ALL ABOUT THEMSELVES! Customer service is not a priority. When we first signed the lease and moved in, Renee was super nice and motivated. But she didn't do a walk through of the house with us. The house was filthy! We complained about the dog urine smell and it took A MONTH for them to finally replace the carpet. When they pulled it up, the carpet was saturated and the wood subfloor was stained due to all the urine. We continued to have issues with the house but Renee and realty station would take at least a week to even call back or respond to an email, if they did at all. The heater died in the middle of winter. I had to fix it myself because they wouldn't return calls and drug their feet getting a repair person scheduled. The only thing they do quickly is deposit your rent check. Everything else takes a minimum of two weeks. I'm in the military and when it came time to transfer, my move out date was uncertain. I communicated everything far in advance (well beyond the 30 day requirement). Renee still threatened to kick us out if we couldn't provide an exact date. They require you to use one specific carpet cleaner when you move out. I called for an estimate and the quote was extremely high. Obviously there's a scam going there. Realty Station is owned by a retired service member and claims to be military friendly company. THEY ARE NOT! She didn't understand or care that my orders were delayed and I couldn't give an exact move out date. She just wanted to get the next tenant in ASAP. They are not user friendly. The only way to pay your rent is by check. No direct deposit, no bank transfer, no credit card. I'm guessing to avoid any fees. Convenience for their tenants is not a priority. They are focussed on making money, not about the condition of the properties they manage or the needs of their tenants. Bottom line: They suck! read more

Looking for a rental can be very stressful!! I contacted Realty Station about some of their available rentals and I was impressed with their work ethic. I've read some of the reviews that have been posted about them and I was skeptical but after meeting with them all I can say is they are genuinely a good team of people and . They were up front with all costs and fees. My family decided to rent from them and we couldn't be happier. They are quick to respond to any issues and have even gone out of their way, out of normal business hours, to make sure that repairs are made. I highly recommend them! read more
