A MUST DO! A FREE EVENT EVENT & FREE PARKING! This is someone's home not a museum so Please be…read morerespectful & DO NOT BOTHER THE HOMEOWNERS they live there. Just take a look from the sidewalk. The Devil's House is the famous house from the movie Hocus Pocus with the Sanderson Sisters Bette Middller, Sarah Jessica Parker & Kathy Najimy. The movie was filmed in multiple locations including Whittier & Altadena California, Salem Massachusetts & Warner Ranch. This is the home where in the movie you meet the Devil - Gary Marshall & Penny Marshall from the TV Show Laverne & Shirley. There are also Trick or Treating Scenes filmed here as well with several houses right next door. There is also a park across the street you can check out as well. You can also drive by East Whittier Middle School which was Jacob Bailey High School in the movie. Some Interior Shots were filmed there on 14421 Whittier Blvd. To make it worth your trip check out some other Cool Local Spots in Whittier. Back to the Future Mill Valley High School was filmed @ Whittier High School on 12417 Philadelphia St. King Richard's Antiques is one of the largest antique shops in California. It is Fantastic with multiple levels with over 60,000 Square Feet of Vintage Merchandise. Also check out Nixon Plaza - Richard Nixon's Law Office was located here in a historic 100 year old building that has now been transformed into a Food Hall There are multiple restaurants with a Large Indoor & Outdoor Dining Area. You can grab something to eat & a brew @ Whittier Brewing Company in the Food Hall. Also check out the Whittier Village Cinema. It is a small beautifully restored Art Deco Movie Theater that was originally called The Wardman Theater which was built in 1932. The Architecture, the Tile & the Lights are really beautiful. It is located in the Uptown Section of Whittier that has lots of nostalgic charm & charisma. Also check out some of the other restaurants & breweries in the area too. So Much Fun in Whittier! It used to be, you had to have Mega Bucks & be really Rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!

Wow 17th door is back for another spooky season! This year the 17th door brings the fear in what…read moreis probably the most action packed haunt in north america. Every square foot of this haunt is frightfully alive. 17 focuses on great actors and inventive non stop scares with dozens and dozens of monsters throughout all 17 rooms. Makeup and special effects are just amazing. This is a haunter's haunt that attracts the best talent around. Expect to be thrilled, scared, shocked and delighted. These monsters ain't shy, so strap in, you are in for a wild ride! Before you visit any other haunted attractions, visit 17th door first. It's in a league of its own. Sure you can tromp around another huge, overpriced, overcrowded, "just ok" theme park haunt with the same worn out mazes and the same bored rubber masked zombies doing the same tired old pop up gags you see every year, or you can do 17 and see the industry's best veteran scare actors who bring the fright night after night. Easy free parking too right in front of the main entrance. Highly recommend.

Back for round 3 at The 17th Door! I first went in 2015 and then again in 2022. I'll be honest, I…read morewas seriously bummed when I found out there'd be no Field Trip this year....that was hands down one of the coolest things I've ever experienced in a haunt. That said (and without spoiling a thing), this year's production absolutely exceeded my expectations. No cheesy jump scares here, instead they go straight for the deep seated phobias, the stuff that actually gets under your skin. The execution? Beautifully done. Creative, intense, and immersive from start to finish. Still holding out hope that the Field Trip makes a comeback one day. If I had a magic Halloween genie, that's the first wish I'd cash in. Tips: - whole experience is about 45 minutes long - Wear comfortable shoes, you'll be moving, ducking, and maybe running for your life - VIP tix so worth it if you go when it's packed, you skip the line straight to the front - If you're nervous or easily freaked out, grab the mercy pendant - You might get wet in a few spots, so plan accordingly with your hair and makeup situation - And please, pray with me that they bring the Field Trip back, it deserves a resurrection!!!!

Super amazing experience at this haunted house. The actors are great and respectable and the…read moredecorations are super on point... Did I mention its also free? However I do recommend donating since they put in much effort to offer us a super great experience, they have QR codes all around the house where you can scan and make an easy donation. You can also support by buying their merch which include T shirts in my experience. Their only open on certain days and I highly suggest checking out their Instagram @twisted_dreams_haunt which they post their schedule. To enter you simply step in line and as you near the front they hand you a waiver which is for your entire party, once signed you're ready for a super fun adventure! I also love the fact that they send parties in one by one to ensure a full experience. So no jump scares will be spoiled! But because they do this the lines also take a very long time. So I definitely recommend going on the earlier dates before Halloween because the 31st is often super packed.

I also like how you go through the maze with just you + the people you came with which makes the experience even better since it's focused on your group. It's free to go through the house but would definitely recommend donating so they can keep up the awesome work :) Will be back soon for round two before the 2022 Halloween season is over!

Well done haunted house!! I was super impressed. My friend bought us tickets + front of the line…read morepasses (thank you Randy!!) and we showed up when they opened so we were one of the first to go in. His reasoning was that its better so we wouldn't "see others getting scared and have too many spoilers". There were 100+ rooms filled with realistic props. Everything from the special effects, the human props, to the smells of the place was super legit. You could tell so much effort was made to make this place come to life. I wish I could have spent more time looking closely at the props because they were so well made!! I think the place was so huge because it was a closed down department store at some point. At the end, they have a mini store where they sell stickers, tarot cards and all sorts of heebie jeebies. Highly recommend!!

This is a very long haunted house type maze which had a lot of creative scares. Experience: This experience is like no other. I enjoyed that they staggered the groups so you got to experience all the timed scares. This is different from things like Halloween Horror Nights where you are crammed in a slow moving line and can barely get scared because of how crowded it is. I don't want to spoil the scares, but I can say that they were very cool and nothing I've seen or experienced before. The whole experience is about 30 minutes and each room is so well decorated. I would say though that you have to wait about 30-45 minutes in line to get into the experience though even with the timed entry due to how popular it is. Price: Reasonably priced for the quality of experience you got! They put so much effort into decorating. Parking: Located in a mall, so parking is plentiful and secure. We had no trouble finding parking.
