Most of the staff have minimal english, which adds to the authentic experience but can cause some service problems. They can get pretty busy at times (eg. Friday evening) when the take away orders pile in, but you normally wouldn't wait more than 20 mins to be served a sit-down meal. Bamboo style brass cutlery is a nice touch and chop-sticks are available if you feel the urge to use them (they do have a small selection of malay and chinese on the menu). ps. the dining room is fairly small so booking is normally a good idea.

For $15-ish, it was a slap in the face. Do yourselves a favour and skip the salads -- go for the red curry chicken and coconut rice and you won't be disappointed! Their special fried rice is nice too although it has a lot of large veggie pieces and whole, large prawns (respect) which makes it more of a meal in itself rather than a practical rice dish to serve with your curry dishes.

Ok meal. If you're looking for great Thai this isn't it. Nice decor & service however food is good…read morebut not outstanding. First up the Tom Yum soup - tasty but saturated with salt which dampens what's meant to be clean & razor sharp flavours of this soup. On the flip side we had the chicken curry & that was sweetened way too much. The sweetness dominates the flavours which aren't allowed to shine in any way. Likely too much sugar or palm sugar which is then further sweetened by a handful of diced carrots. Anyhow. If you can't find any other Thai this will do but if there's choice might be best to try those. Thanks.

I had the lemongrass beef - and the chef was very flexible and replaced the rice it normally comes with a salad with beautifully sculpted vegetables. I have also had one of the best banh mi pork rolls I have ever had there, packed with pork and salad, pickles and chilli (I like it hot) - a very substantial and filling roll. Did I mention that the roll was great too freshly toasted and not one of those light sugar rolls. Inside the ambience is peaceful with plenty of seating including several booths and some very comfortable arm chairs to enjoy a coffee or tea and cakes , whether vietnamese or Australian style. To follow up, after a busy day, we had a 3pm yum cha at the Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant located in the Geelong CBD. What a delight! The kitchen was technically shut when we arrived, but the lovely staff were happy to keep it open for us. We lunched on the classics: ginger prawn dumplings, shark fin and scallop dumplings and vegetarian spring rolls cooked to crispy perfection. When Twosheds' eyes were bigger than what could be eaten, our lovely attentive staff member happily converted remaining food to take away. The surroundings here are fantastic too.
