Hmm... where to start. Essentially, the property managers at J Carroll Molloy are slumlords. By…read morename, that would be Christina, Dave, and Ed.. but mostly Ed.
Thus far in 2021, I have been without heat and hot water on three separate occasions (it's been less than 5 months), had my water completely turned off without notice twice, endured OVERNIGHT (10PM-6AM) roadwork 10 feet from my bedroom window for 2 months WITHOUT NOTICE, had circuit breaker fail and (since they will not allow me access to my own breaker) I waited for 3 days to be able to utilize any of my kitchen appliances. Their response rate to ANY form of communication rests at about 15%, and the embarrassingly nonchalant, unprofessional nature of their entire property management team would be impressive if it wasn't for the catastrophic interruptions to my every day life.
Y'all thought I was finished?? Every July-September for 4 years, my apartment has become infested with cockroaches. That, of course, follows the yearly springtime ant infestation. J Carroll Molloy's 'Property Management Team' has been out to treat said infestations a grand total of ONE time.. in 4 years. They haven't cut the grass or trimmed the bushes in ~15 months (it's in the lease), and my bathroom has been crumbling for nearly 2 years. Their solution to a rotted shower wall, a dismounted radiator cover, and a sink that, quite literally just fell off the wall was..... to reinstall the sink. That's it. My shower wall continues to rot. The radiator cover remains unfastened and protruding from the wall... the dry spackle sits, as it has for almost 2 years, un-sanded and unpainted. Then again, I guess that doesn't really matter since I can't take a shower anyway.
They, as a whole, refuse to respond to vital communication in a timely manner, whether that's by text, email, phone call, or carrier pigeon.
This all happens without much recourse, as Nick Molloy's (the company's namesake and 'broker of record') email gets bounced back as a 'temporary problem with delivery.' So instead, it seems that a group of leeches ('partners' at this point.. embarrassing) have decided to disregard property management and prevent Mr. Molloy (a truly good man in my own interactions with him) from appropriately tending to the properties his name represents.
The unspoken message they have sent repeatedly is that I now pay too little in rent (since the lease says they can't increase it), and that my discomfort with my living situation is my own problem.
Well.. now it's your problem too, Ed. Let me know when you get the water and heat back on (again). Send a pigeon. It'll be faster and more reliable than any other communication you've attempted. If you tried real hard, you might even be able to remember exactly how to send one of those bad boys.. but I won't hold my breath as I'm completely sure that your incompetence isn't limited to electronics. Hope ya had fun golfing today. You probably suck at that too, though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Talk to ya soon! (I won't)
