I have to say that I am completely baffled and confused as to how this practice and Dr. GALLAHER** received such a poor review. I have been going to him for years and not only is he a talented doctor, he is one of the most ethically sound and generous health care providers I have ever come across. He truly has his patients best interests at heart and is more concerned with offering a conservative and functional treatment plan rather than suggesting a more expensive alternative. I had a dental emergency over a weekend and not only did doctor Gallaher call me personally after I left a voicemail with the office, he offered to meet me that Saturday afternoon to fix my tooth so I did not have to suffer through the weekend in pain. In response to his supposedly "arrogant" nature from other reviews, I have to say that there is a distinct line between being confident and proud of your work and being cocky. Dr. Gallaher is confident in his work and is a perfectionist in the sense that he wants to make sure the tooth is not only functional, but is also esthetically pleasing. I do not know much about dentistry overall, however, I completely trust his opinion and treatment plans for me as he is the one with the doctorate in dentistry (...and he finished an 8 year program in 6 years I might add). His vivacious and lively spirit are genuine personality characteristics that put his patients at ease during anxiety provoking procedures that helps to build a rapport that is much more than strictly professional, but transcends that line to a caring and supportive working relationship/friendship. In regards to being expensive, the companies set the price when you do not own your own practice and it is comparative for other practices within the area. I am also quite confused as to why the dental associates and health care professionals should be thanking the patients, it is standard to typically thank the doctor for providing a procedure that alleviates pain and increases your ability to live your life..Maybe that is just me being old fashioned, but it seems pretty normal to me! My final thought is regarding him not being apologetic for "messing up" your teeth. I guarantee that if a patient is unhappy with their dental work and/or bite, Dr. Gallaher would be more than willing and accommodating to have his patients come back into the office and he would make sure the work is right! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Gallaher to everyone and he has built his practice up so much through word of mouth (He is not from here and therefore moved here knowing NO ONE). I am so happy that I finally found a dentist that meets my needs!!! read more

Before today, I gave Dr. Gallaher and this practice a "5." Monday, I took my 90 year old Mom to see Dr. Gallaher. I had driven three hours and taken the day off. To our surprise, when we were greeted by the hygienist, we discovered Dr. Gallaher no longer worked at this office. I could not believe that we were not called and notified that Dr. Gallaher was no longer with the practice. (For me after working through 2-3 different dentists over the past two years to replace my mom's dentist of 42 year, the lack of courtesy to call us was unconscionable. Dr. Gallaher is kind, knowledgeable, and worked with my mom to really meet her needs.) Dr. Harvey met us and explained that patients belong to the practice and not the relationship with the dentist. For me and my mom, the relationship, expertise, and caring of Dr. Gallaher are more important than the practice. We will miss Amanda, Nikki, Sara, and Courtney. We will follow Dr. Gallaher to his new practice in Vinton and we wish Dr. Harvey good luck with his PRACTICE. read more

I have been telling everyone what a great experience we had with the Valley View office. Everyone from the front desk staff to the hygienists and the dentist were wonderful and very patient with my two boys. My six-year-old was afraid to go because of bad experiences in the past (at other offices), and by the time we left he was saying he's not afraid of the dentist anymore. The hygienist went over with him every tool she would use and what it did, and asked his permission to do x-rays and even put on Power Rangers for him to watch. They were amazing. read more

Dr. Roberts and fellow staff in the Salem office are a most competent team and have been helpful in addressing all my dental concerns. Scheduling is easy and the receptionist and front desk staff are always pleasant and helpful. Dr. Roberts has been most competent in dealing with several challenging issues I have faced. He and his assistant and hygienist are professional while also very good at putting their patients at ease. The office, itself is comfortable and welcoming. I was always very cautious about dentist, and it didn't help when my childhood dentist was constantly chipping more teeth than he was fixing. Fast forward to when I was sixteen I found Dr. Roberts and his staff. He's very friendly and knows how to keep me calm in the chair all while doing a beautiful job with my teeth.
