While at Kids Country, Ezrah had a great time meeting new friends and exploring the classroom and playground. The mixed age group was interesting and gave him a diverse experience that he hadn't been exposed to before. In leaving this facility, there were tons of hugs and well wishes. A great experience mostly for starting up at a new childcare center.

Thankfully, sending my kids to Rainier Christian Schools' Little People Preschool has never been one of those choices I've doubted. I know when I drop them off my kids are greeted by teachers who love them, they learn more about the Bible and have weekly Chapel, and have developed wonderful friendships with other kids at school. One of the reasons I also chose this preschool is because my son was 4 and still having trouble potty training, and they have a special classroom devoted to potty training, and within 3 months of joining he was fully potty trained! I am continually thankful that we chose RCS for our family and that our kids are thriving there.

They are actively involved in playing with the kids and the place is clean. The part that isn't readily apparent when you tour this home-based childcare is that there are no caregivers present who speak English for 99% of the day. This may or may not be an issue for you. But, for small children who are just developing their language skills, it is a challenge. Just as important, my child wasn't able to communicate to the providers: my tummy hurts, he hit me, etc. And, I wasn't able to communicate with them during drop off or pick up: she has been emotional this morning, she didn't sleep well last night. But for the communication challenges, we would have stayed here, but it did not work for us.

I am a single mom and these teachers/childcare providers are an extended part of my family. 1) I LOVE that BH has an app and that I can be alerted when things are happening (Did she eat enough today? Did she sleep long enough? How is her potty training going? What are they up to today, ah, here is a picture!) 2) there is accountability with everything! She got hit by someone or she hit someone else? An accident report is filled out, and/or you are notified if there is a bigger issue. 3)The teachers are very approachable and WANT you to work with them in helping with your child. You don't just walk in and walk out without discussing the day. (Doesn't make sense if there are rules in one place and not the other...) there is a consistency and fluidity...potty training has been a snap with the positive reinforcement she receives at "school". 4) she is excelling quite beyonce her years and is learning SO MUCH about being social, sharing, being polite, etc. My Father was so impressed with the place he wanted to buy stock in it...too bad they are not publicly traded. My final thought on this place is that they focus on the WHOLE child, and not ignoring them and their play. There is no TV watching! There is Music, creative and structured play, art and sensory projects...all of this will lead up to my daughter being MORE than ready for Kindergarten, when the time comes.

We have had the absolute best experience at this daycare. The teachers, assistant director and most definitely the director have been more like family to our kids. They are organized, professional and most importantly empathetic and invested in our kids' growth and wellbeing. They go above and beyond their job description every day and we appreciate them all.
