I did not agree at all with their Israel, Marine Recruiting Office, and other "progressive" stances, and often found myself flinging down the paper in disgust. Yet, I couldn't wait to pick up the paper again and read some more, especially Becky O'Malley's "holy" opinions and the best letters section outside of the Anderson Valley Advertiser. Broad and sometimes contentious political debate within the Fourth Estate can be free speech at its best. "To hold a pen is to be at war" - Voltaire Unfortunately, thanks to narrow special interest boycott (of which one of the leaders has his say below), the economy, and some payroll service fraud thrown in, the Berkeley Daily Plant closed up their print edition and went on line. So image my delight when I recently picked up a Copy Mat "newsletter" edition of the Daily Planet. "Great Caesar's Ghost!" - Perry White I devoured the issue and was left wanting for more. So whether I agree with the content or not, I hope that the Daily Planet is on the way back, and mindful of the Joseph Pulitzer quote that "Newspapers should have no friends"

It's obvious the workers here love to read and appreciate their customers, and I love coming by another MZD fan as well! Come shipping day, and I get another email informing me they received signed copies, and they'd pack it for me!! I would give them 6 stars if I could, FOR SURE. I'm SO excited to read this book. It arrived a day after shipping but granted, I do live somewhat nearby.

He gave me the July issue, which I read w/ interest. He just gave me the October issue, which I am in the midst of reading. The articles are well written and cover Rockridge history, current developments, politics, human interest and other issues, like health and safety. This month's issue has a focus on the 30th anniversary of the Firestorm in 1991, which killed 25 people and destroyed countless homes, particularly in the Oakland Hills. I'm a fan of lyper-local news and have enjoyed reading The Rockridge News. It's delivered and distributed free at The Point and elsewhere in Rockridge. They also offer subscriptions for $20, so presumably it would be delivered to you directly. If you're a Rockridge resident, or have an interest in the area, you can pick up a copy at the library or at businesses or restaurants in the neighborhood, particularly along College Avenue.

The irony is that a bookstore like this--framing itself as "revolutionary" and openly promoting ideas about dictatorship, fascism, LGBTQ issues, and modern-day slavery--would not exist under an actual fascist regime. In such systems, only books that praise or reinforce the ruling ideology are permitted. That contradiction made the messaging feel more like extreme leftist propaganda than serious critique, to the point of being almost comical. I still purchased a gift for a friend, but the anti-Trump rhetoric was truly over the top. I'm just a normie trying to buy a book.

Before calling here, multiple comic book stores that I have called in are not familiar with this title, so I made sure to ask. The person from this stores tells me he does not have that, I asked have he heard of it, and was quick;ly given rude answer I just told you. Its very apparent you do know how to run a business nor how to give basic customer service. I was able to get a proper answer from another store in Oakland, although they did not have what I was looking for, I was given a suggestion of what they have.
