I had a reading from Melani Ashworth at Higher Connection. I purchased through Groupon…read more Things you should know: I AM a believer in psychics and went in with an open mind and ready for a great reading! It is done from her personal residence in Spanish Springs, in a bedroom/reading room. She advised me that she doesn't make much money from the Groupon readings. Not cool. She did a lot of guessing, not really reading, and was incorrect most of the time. I didn't tell her that she was guessing wrong because I wanted her to go on. She talked about my past life, but I had no connection to what she was saying. She talked about deceased loved ones AFTER I told her they were deceased. She kept telling me how I could easily make money as a psychic by taking classes. I have no natural gift of psychic abilities, and didn't go there to hear about becoming one. My session was 30-minutes, but a lot of the time was her telling me how to start a business. I waited 8 months after my reading to write this review because I REALLY hoped some of her predictions would happen. As of now, nothing she told me has happened. The things she mentioned about my family and my past were not accurate. If you go here for entertainment purposes only, it could be kind of fun (but not very).

Every single person I have referred to Melanie has come away with a sense of awe at what she has to…read moreoffer. She takes the time to prepare for each reading, and I recommend you do the same. Take the time, settle yourself; pray, meditate or whatever your faith does and then go. I've been to many 'readers' over the years, and there is no one quite like her. I, too, am sad to see the review from 2015. I am grateful that Melanie is willing to share her gift with the world. A few things I will say about my reading(s): 1. There is no way she could have known those things. 2. I always walk away with a sense of "Wow." 3. There were times that I felt some things were not quite accurate, only to find that my interpretation at the time was off. Upon later reflection, I thought, "Holy crap THAT is what she was talking about." As humans I think we tend fixate on what we want things to be, not what is. 4. If you are looking for someone to guide you with specific predictions for personal gain, this is not the person for you. If you are looking for guidance on personal growth, or want to connect with someone long gone (human OR animal), there is no one better. Example: On my first reading, she said I was surrounded by 'guides' that were trying to get in touch with me, to help me. There was one in particular, in the forefront, and she described him down to the minute details of appearance and purpose. I was sitting there, dumbfounded. Not 3 months prior I was in a meditation course where the two instructors did a session on guides, said they could see my guide and had the exact same description and purpose. At the time of my meditation course, I took it with a grain of salt and moved on to other parts of the course I was more interested in. 'Bah!' I thought after the reading...this must be some common guide that I can find on google I bet. THERE IS NO WAY she could have known that. (At my core I guess I am still a cynic, despite everything I have experienced in my life). I could find nothing even remotely close to what my instructors or Melanie had described. I could give several more examples, but I don't normally post on social media and these things are personal and private. If I am taking the time to post a review, it is a big deal. She is the real thing.

Set up a session with someone named Christina. I have worked with psychics for the past 15 years,…read moreand I NEVER have felt like I have spoken to one who is outright a farce...until NOW. For an entire hour, she just had weird information, none which was accurate. Brought up lots of things that were simply unverifiable and useless. Past lives supposed to tell me what's going on now? So she told me past life stuff, but never brought it around to now. I asked her about my partner/love life. She said the passion was dead. WTH? Not even close, we're wanting to move in together!! I asked her about what I should be doing for a business, what was my calling. She listed off a TON of things that were nothing I would EVER consider, and when I called her out on it, she said "YOU are showing me all the things you DON'T want to do." Ummm, what? Blaming me for her inaccuracy, saying that I was the one doing it. Kept talking about roses and their colors, made no sense and told me nothing. I was in tears at the end of the call, I felt worse, more hopeless than I did at the start of the call AND NOW I'm out $125 on top of it. Oh yeah, I asked about money and my home, she suggested I apply to be a sample lady at Costco. LOL. I run my own business right now, why on earth would I choose such a low wage position? And then at the end, I was so upset, she said she would "talk to her teacher" and get back to me. She never did. Don't waste your time or money. I will never consult a psychic again because of this!!

My guided meditation with Heather proved both practical and educational. Despite my best efforts…read morein the past to perform even a 10 minute meditation, the experience was always unenjoyable and unsuccessful. But with Heather guiding me, it was different. I actually enjoyed it and didn't find it difficult. She began our appointment by explaining a few things to me, such as how to handle a wondering mind. She also told me what I can expect from a session and how to deal with somethings, such as seeing images and that I ought to simply observe them as art. Finally. She closed the meditation with a thorough grounding exercise that I appreciated being walked through and learned from. During my meditation, I did have some special experiences that I am grateful for, and Heather was able to give me some insights into the meanings of these experiences. After my session was over, and Heather had left, I felt amazing! With the goals of enlightenment and success, I believe that my guided meditation session with Heather did teach me some new tools that will help me to meditate more successfully in the future when doing it on my own. Heather, thank you for your guidance and sharing your gifts with me. I will be contacting you again the future for more guided meditations, as I look forward to deepening my spiritual understanding and pursuing my spiritual path. Take care ~Lisa
