BEFORE YOU ENROLL!!! RACC is NOT BBB ACCREDITED!! Firstly, I'll say I am not usually big on confrontation but when I feel like I'm being played with, it never sits well with me, ESPECIALLY within a professional environment because I am not dumb and you as the "professional", should have learned soft skills. Learn to communicate better with potential students so you don't get reviews like this before the program even starts. Secondly, the phlebotomy department is horrible and it seems like no one has good listening skills. This enrollment process has been absolutely awful. I have been trying to get ahold of them since before September, as a matter of fact, according to my emails, I went as far back as 2023. I have gone in person multiple times, emailed, and called and every single time I got different information from everyone I talked to. Elianny was supposed to be my advisor and has been the absolute worst at communicating and very irresponsible. She claimed my emails went to her "junk" folder which is insane that she even admitted to not checking her junk folder for months, as a "professional". I even check my junk folder! I was interested in beginning months ago but lack of communication on their part pushed me back to what I thought would have been March but is now May 12. Now, after emailing my paperwork I have to continue calling them every day to see if they got anything, and that's IF they answer. I have emailed my paperwork to 2 individuals and the career department yet not one has been received and I was told today, after weeks, that the system is transitioning. Why couldn't they have told me that initially?! I would've been taken my papers in person rather than keep playing tag with this irresponsible advisor. I went again in person and spoke with Elaine and she said ALL that was needed was my transcripts followed by the same questions "did you already apply for fafsa and the scholarship?" Are they not able to see that????? Fast forward, I call the BOE for the city I went to school at and they faxed the transcripts, well RACC never received it, because of course, they have no fax for that department so apparently it just went anywhere, I called the BOE again and had them email me this time. I emailed careertraining@racc.edu letting them know the BOE said they could provide a copy of the UNOFFICIAL transcripts OR a letter proving graduation to which "Veyyes" responded, and I quote "I apologize for your frustration in regards to the registration process. If you are referring to your high school or GED transcript, an unofficial transcript will be acceptable." Upon receiving my transcripts, I forwarded the email to them and got another email response saying, and I quote again, "Hello Nahomi, Correction, we do in fact need your official high school diploma/ GED transcript." And of course I can't say who sent it because they deleted their signature from the email. At this point I am rightfully angry and frustrated. I finally spoke with Regina, who seemed to care at first but as soon as I defended myself she became sort of irritated and condescending. I tried explaining to her for the 182nd time that I already did everything in my part and needed to know what else I had to do, she kept talking over me and rudely cutting me off as if what I had to say didn't matter She kept telling me to relax and not stress when they're the ones stressing me out! All in all, the call with Regina ended up in me having a panic attack by 10:50am. It really takes away my motivation and makes me want to continue my education elsewhere. I haven't even started and I already regret my decision. Update: unfortunately I went thru with my enrollment and even now they continue to play games except now it's with my tuition balance and scholarship. Literally every other girl in my class received the full $2,000 scholarship--except me. No clear explanation was given, and when I asked, I was just told they gave me as much as they could. This college has been nothing but a positive experience for me, at my age 47 going back to school was scary for me, due to being surrounded by kids that were old enough to be my own. I was ready to be treated like an outcast like I have no business going back to school at my age!?!? I say I have been here for over a year and my life has drastically changed for the better, I cannot describe the positivity and the wonderful students and faculty I have come in contact with. I've been blessed with the most wonderful, understanding, and knowledgeable professors and that is one hundred percent the truth! I also hold a work-study position in the financial aid lab, OK I get it doesn't pay that well but with the fellow students I have the pleasure of working with it all seems to fit just right! Everyone in life will not have the same experience and not the same outcome, I am a prime example of this! I never took high school seriously and the grades I got back then couldn't get me a job selling oranges on a freeway, but this school helped me achieve my best and this is the 3rd semester in a row I have made the president's list! If I can give one piece of advice to a student and to the others who have given RACC a bad review, take a step back and think about YOUR part in YOUR journey. You're in control of who you are and sometimes in life, we make choices we wish we wish we could change. Blaming other people gets you nowhere but on a website downing other people to make yourself feel better. I am not saying everyone is perfect and I am far from that! But, I want everyone to know what a GREAT COLLEGE this is, and no matter what the issue with your life and what you are struggling with, this school will help or point you in the direction to get the help with what you are struggling with!! I would not change my direction in life because I know I am right where I should be at this very moment!!! Can't give a five star rating yet as we just enrolled but the assistance we've had so far with financial aid questions and academic advisement has been excellent. I especially appreciated the pre-enrollment testing offered as we weren't sure how much learning was lost during Covid shutdowns in high school, so testing for skill gaps was just the right approach. Btw... the reviews on Niche for RACC were much more positive, so we're hopeful for a great semester. read more

This place is shady and doesn't try to hide it. Advising staff cannot comprehend complex issues of any type and try to cover up their mistakes. There's no communication between departments and you have to triple check with financial aid and records that you've been registered or dropped a class. If you're not on their back they just won't do it. College interior is dim-lit and sketchy. One man was shot right between the yocum library and weitz hall. There is no life on campus it is totally barren and the cafeteria only serves vending machine snacks. They've scrapped the barrel looking for advisors and professors to meet their quota. You will not get any help here as far as guidance, you will be screwed over, and no one will do a thing about it unless you literally track them down in person. I've had some of the most miserable experiences here and just want out. If you're looking for higher education without breaking your wallet I recommend starting in a trade school or just biting the bullet and going somewhere a bit more expensive. read more

This is not a bad school to earn some college credits from if you are planning on attending a 4 Year college or university. Some of the teachers are great, pleasant and very helpful. However, let me be straight forward and honest here people because I have been holding this inside me for too long. Some of the teachers there are EVIL! I meant evil as "RACIST" like very racist, would try to make sure you don't make it in life racist. It is kind of hard for certain people to understand the point I am about to prove here, or some might even think I am trying to pull the race card or trying to start something, because I obviously I am not. Igraduated there whole ago, just had to knock some sense into this person. I am actually a nurse now. I started my nursing program at Racc, not going to say when. Honestly, I never once believe in Racism because I grew up in a country where people don't judge you by the color of your skin, maybe by your ability but definitely not the color of your skin. I noticed some of these teachers there love playing favoritism. Racc clinical group was a hot mess because of this one evil, heavy set teacher. I still can remember this one heavy, short hair, lady who always wanted to fail me at clinical for no apparent reason. To make thing even worst, I had students that would come to me and telling me how the teacher "did not want me in her clinical group" ( for no apparent reason). I passed all my tests and exams with good scores. Tried my best to be on time for clinical, completed all my assignments before due date, but for some reason I was never good enough for this teacher. It's like everything I did was never right. She would make the white students go to patients' room to see certain procedures while she ignored the colored or the foreign students ( not making up a story, believe it or not, just speaking it as I experienced it).She would not even look at me in my face when she was talking to me or communicating. She even tried to failed for clinical! ( like really? Clinical was actually the easy part when it comes to nursing school). Honestly, I think clinical was fun and easy but according to her, I was never good enough. I would see students talking and doing other things while i was in my patient's room doing bed bath and making sure my patient is safe, and well but at the end of the day when clinical ended, would still receive a very fair or low grading for clinical and the same white students I have seen talking would show me their grades and will receive an A or A+ for clinical. It was such a crazy thing to experience as a young man because I couldn't believe it. I was bursting my butt off, doing everything to meet someone's needs but I would still receive bad grades from her ( only from her though) which didn't add up to me or seem right. A message for this teacher. Yes, I hope you are alive today and still able to read this today as well. I made it in life, I am actually a homeowner, a great nurse, I even earned "nurse of the month award" for the company I currently work for. You treated me unfairly, made me feel like I was nothing and couldn't do anything right was very hurtful & harsh. Again it made me open up my eyes to see how evil some people actually are and how unfairly this world is. You know deep down inside that I knew who you really were but you tried to stop me from achieving my goals and dream. Guess what? You failed, I made it and because of you, I will never send my kids to that school but it was still a great experience, but not too pleasant really. I still think about it up to now because it's soemthing I will always REMEMBER!. It's funny how little things you do to someone can carry on forever and have an impact on their life even in the future. You ARE AN EVIL! I wish nothing but the best for you though... I won't release your name but I am sure Karma is real and one day you will see how it feels like to be treated like you are nobody or being treated unfairly just because you didn't like my kind. This school has went downhill,if you want actuals teachers to teach you don't go here.About 90% of the classes are on computers so basically the computer is your teacher and you're teaching yourself the material. When I was there the teachers didn't care if you knew the material or not. If you needed help they would always say go to the tutoring room.There were about two teachers there that took the time with me when I attended.The school is horrible as far as actual teaching is concerned that's the thing of the past.RACC doesn't deserve 1 star. read more
