This is a hidden gem of a trail that will pleasantly challenge casual hikers. I'd hike back in a heartbeat.

Moderately rugged trail in a natural setting. Rarely is the trail straight, but constantly winds and zigzags, while taking up, up, and up to the top.
A totally nondescript entrance to the park amongst gigantic houses in a residential area will take you through a short gravel road up to the starting point, where there are a handful of parking spaces, tables and benches for picnic, and a kiosk for visitors. You'll find a letterbox with hardcopy maps is the park, and the different trails are color coded.
Buzzards Rock Trail starts right behind the kiosk and is about 2 miles long. According to the map, the summit stands 2,353 feet tall. The hike up is not a walk in the park but at least it's nicely shaded by the thick blanket of trees, and the panoramic view of the valley from the top will make it totally worthwhile!
On the way up and/or down, you can connect to a section of other trails for some variety: we took Buzzards Rock Trail all the way up, but took Crossover Trail at Weeping Wall which connects to Rocky Way Trail st Jacob's Ladder and eventually leads back to Buzzards Rock the rest of the way down.
It took is about one hour up to High Point, and about 45 minutes back down to kiosk.
