What a cool concept! We stumbled upon this used bookstore with a random assortment or books. We…read moresearched for some English books and only found a few but I imagine the offerings change often. When we got to the counter, we were told that the books were priced "as we like." So basically, you find a book or movie or CD that you like and give the shop a donation. A great option for students or travelers looking for a hunt or distraction. I hope to be back soon!

I was very happy with the wide selection: I found books in English, French, Catalan and Spanish (and those were just the ones I personally saw). I didn't stay long however because I found just what I needed (I had to ask an employee to help me find one book in a series and she was so helpful and sincere). So I bought 5 books for 10 euros. Absolutely loved this place and would recommend to anyone looking for a good cheap read.

Jamie W. and I didn't even plan on coming here because we were headed for tapas at Can Vilaro, an authentic homestyle family-run Catalan cafe (review: https://yelp.to/uQGXHqn2SY). This expansive market just across the street from the cafe was the ideal chaser. It's housed in a beautiful mid-19th century art nouveau building with a steep octagon-shaped roof. Although it was built in the middle of the 19th century, it eventually fell into disrepair by 2009, and after a decade of refurbishment, it reopened in 2018 emerging as a foodie destination in its currently modern state. There are 52 separate food stalls supplemented by nearly 100 clothing and flea market stalls. It was a good thing we ate already because the jamon, poultry, and fresh seafood, in particular, looked quite appetizing. There were prepared foods like cones filled with viruta iberico (ham shavings) that almost lured us toward gluttony. We know for next time to save room for such delicacies. I picked it up and kept it with me throughout the time I was shopping for other items. After completing my shopping I inquired about the price of the picture. The nice lady took the item to the front to inquire about the price. She returned and told me that a customer in line was going to purchase the item. I was taken aback. I had the picture in my hands the entire time I was shopping only letting it go to hand it to the employee. I'm not sure if this is normal operating procedure for Spain and I'm just not understanding, or if they simply sold it to someone else when I inquired about the price. I immediately left the store. The lady then said the gentlemen buying the picture changed his mind and I can buy it. Needless to say, I passed. I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone.

The selection is varied, but also limited at the same time... I guess it's based on what's on rotation within the city here. If you want obscure titles or the latest NYTimes best sellers, you can go to Amazon for those... but if you want something different that has been around for a while, but don't want to pay full price - check out the selection. They even have a second location two businesses down. In fact, the block Norma Comics is on has several stores catering to comics, games, hobbyists, etc.. I'm not that into comics or graphic novels, but this place is awesome. I highly recommend checking it out. Lately my son has been obsessed with Captain Tsubasa. Decided to see if they had something I could surprise him with for Three Kings Day. They had a stuffed doll. He loved it.

Still it is tailored more for the tourist than the normal collectors. They as well had a minimal selection of common funkos no exclusives, chases or rare funko displayed any where i could see. I did see a few vintage sailor moon and et figures which was pretty interesting just a little pricey.
