We started the process of putting an offer on a home, but also had a backup in mind…read more We are using Military Homespot Lending made specifically for Veterans. Agent Amy Fessler (Realestate License #RS315312) from Berkshire Hathaway Hodrick Realty out of Williamsport/Danville, PA as long as our mortgage person was able to be contacted with no issues, then we would be good to go. Our agent from the mortgage company, Amari, has text and call capability. The real estate agent was able to communicate with her NO PROBLEM just as she had asked. Not to mention, we are probably THE EASIEST of people as we already had a house lined up that we wanted to offer on. We get a text message the day she talked to our mortgage agent and said she isn't comfortable working with online companies for mortgages after said she had no problem as long as communication wasn't a problem. Veterans use specific companies for mortgages most of the time due to the VA mortgage benefit. If they have bad credit because of an ex-wife that screwed around on them while they were deployed and ruined their credit in the process, then they use companies like Military Homespot Lending. The fact that we DISCUSSED this with the agent and then MET HER REQUIREMENTS of communication with the mortgage company, but then said she will not be an agent for us because of the mortgage company is ridiculous and UNPROFESSIONAL. Additionally, the way this business treats Veterans, especially those with a Purple Heart is atrocious and disgusting. BH Hodrick Realty should be disgusted with themselves and more so this agent. Regardless of where the real estate agent is getting their commission coming from, they are still getting their commission. Additionally, it does sound like this company has a kickback from local lending agents as their excuse seems to be that they "have fears of using online lenders". Awfully suspicious.

I've worked with a couple of great realtors, a mediocre realtor, and now a HORRIBLE realtor…read more Weichert claims their strength is that the office works in a cooperative manor. It should be said that their office completely lacks communication. Different people are responsible for different activities, and NONE of them communicate! It took three attempts to get their sign person to put the "under contract" sign on the house instead of the "open house" sign. Their scheduler didn't know the house was contract or the black out dates where inspections couldn't happen. The only successful way to get ANYTHING done was repeatedly yelling at the realtor and including the co-owner on it. Because just yelling at the realtor didn't work. Things were late, poorly done, the realtor couldn't remember facts about the house, had difficulty understanding things. Basically if there wasn't a script for it, she was useless. If there was a script for it, she needed to be hand held through the whole process. She never kept track of important dates and made sure things got done, we always had to contact her (or the scheduler directly) to get anything done. Basically, working with JULIE HUGHES at Weichert was HORRIBLE.
