We are new to Charleston and he took the time to not only show us houses but show us the city with all its beautiful parks and beach areas. His connections are vast, and I can say with confidence that he can either answer any real estate/area question or knows someone who can. With Lee you don't only get a knowledgeable experienced agent you get someone who truly cares that the house buying/selling process runs as smooth as possible.

Catherine Laffitte was awesome to work with and the search site they provide was extremely helpful. Cat (what her friends call her) is a good listener but an even better question asker. Her ability to help is just what we needed to make a good decision. Sure she wants to sell you a home but she really wants to make sure it's one you will be happy owning. She has a deep knowledge of the market and will be with you up to and after the sale. We've said many times that we will never move again, that said, Cat will be our realtor.

I can tell you of my personal experiences. I say this, having first had her help in acquiring a home, then later sell my home! I got the same great experience as a buyer and a seller. I can honestly say, without Franny's help I would have likely not achieved my goals with another Agent. The commission I paid I felt was justly deserved and if "going it alone" as a For Sale by owner, I could never have obtained better sales results, not a chance - not even close. She put a lot of time into my transaction and she treated it as if it were her own personal purchase or sales contract. She is detailed oriented, yet sees the bigger picture and she really helped me to see in each transaction what I could not see myself (objectivity). Franny does not try to make people "do certain things" she merely presents the challenge or opportunity and asks each party involved, "how would you like to proceed?". I like the fact she respects the customers various opinions yet is candid and sincere, giving helpful, frank suggestions along the way, and in any transaction she always tries to help everyone arrive at the best win-win solution, which is really what everyone wants. Personalities and egos can often complicate transactions, however, Franny amazingly pulls everyone together for success. She does not just tell people what they want to hear. In closing, Franny was always available to me like no other Agent has been, here, or anywhere else I've lived; Franny gets results and results are what really count at the end of the day!" I debated very seriously whether to share this (as no one wants to feel responsible for negatively affecting anyones reputation). however in the end it was more important to protect others with their than to worry about Cambron's reputation.   I hired Cambron this fall to sell my home of 16 years. She was attentive, enthusiastic and had good ideas about staging when we first discussed selling. After she had secured the listing serious problems occurred. After months of renovating I listed on a Thursday to maximize appointments through the following Monday. As soon as my home hit the MLS there was an immediate flood of response --- due to the incredibly low inventory. By Saturday morning there were over 20 showings scheduled. More pouring in. Late Saturday afternoon showings suddenly started canceling and requests to see my home slowed down. We had told Cambron we would be open to all offers until Monday at 5 pm and couldn't understand why so many people were canceling. I called Cambron to discuss. She immediately got defensive and told us people were canceling because they didn't want to get involved in a multiple offer scenario. I asked why they thought there was other interest/offers and she said she informing buyers agents that multiple people were interested. I had asked her not to divulge this and simply tell people we were entertaining all offers through Monday. She insisted she was legally bound to tell agents there was multiple interest. I protested and told her I found that hard to understand since no contracts were signed. She again insisted it was illegal for her not to disclose and continued doing so. Showings continued to be cancelled and requests dwindled afterwards. Thankfully (and despite this) I still ended up receiving two written offers by Monday. I continued believing Cambron about the legality of disclosing multiple interest and waited for closing. A few weeks later I decided to discuss this question with someone on the board of realtors. We found out that she was absolutely not legally required to inform anyone there was multiple interest. That decision is exclusively up to the homeowner. Not your realtor. A potentially very costly and unforgivable lack of knowledge of basic real estate law. Her mistake in disclosing (when I hadn't approved) interfered greatly with the free market process and led to less showings and possibly less offers. I learned most agents discuss the potential for this scenario prior to listing --- and a strategy for handling. Especially in this current sellers market with so many homes being inundated with offers. Secondly, Cambron insisted that in order to sell my home I would have to do an extensive lawn clean up and mulching. As I was a single mom and had already spent over $12k towards renovating costs, I was extremely hesitant to do one more expensive thing. When I resisted she immediately said she felt so strongly about it that she would pay the $500 towards this service. As part of her cost of doing business. I was grateful and proceeded to use a lawn company she recommended. After my sale went through and she earned over $16k in commissions I asked her to reimburse me the $500 we discussed for the lawn services --- as she had offered. She incredulously refused saying I misunderstood her offer and she'd only agreed to pay $40 towards a basic lawn mowing. This was beyond ludicrous and frankly insulting that I wouldn't understand a very basic offer and conversation. There was no confusion. I could have easily paid my own $40 for lawn mowing using my own long term mowing company. I was shocked. Someone who promotes herself as having integrity and professionalism would never have done what she did. She had made her commission and simply didn't care about her word or honor. She then pretended I was confused rather than being an honorable person and keeping her word. Simple as that. Lastly, on the Sunday before the scheduled Tuesday closing, as I had heard nothing from her for many weeks, I contacted her to see when the buyer would conduct their final walkthrough. Her response was literally 'sometime this week'. When I pointed out to her that the closing was 2 days away she replied defensively 'well - that's next week! In reality I suspect she forgot about the closing. In the end my home sold DESPITE Cambron. I believe Cambron greatly jeopardized my sale and I was lucky it ended up going through. She wrongly and incorrectly interfered in the process -- which could have cost me my sale or additional/higher offers. I'll never know other than to compare others experiences selling in this market.

We used ChuckTown Homes to do both! We met with our buyer's agent, Andrea, to discuss all of our wants/needs in regards to a new house. She promptly got us set up on a portal to begin mapping out where we wanted to be and for houses to be tagged for us within our budget. She was prompt in getting back to us with any questions and with setting up viewings. When it came to negotiations with the sellers of the home we wanted, so was very proactive! Our buyer's agent, Matt, was just as great! We set up an appointment for him to view our house to discuss what we think we can sell for (as well as why, including other homes in the area that were comparable). He advised us on how to have the home set up for photos and how to have things done for showings. He was able to help us navigate toward good offers and ones that seemed like they wouldn't be a good fit. He was prompt in getting back to us via text, email or even by phone when needed. We really appreciate all of the hard work they put into making the transition of selling and buying our homes easier on our family. We would highly recommend them for your buying or selling needs.
