Lanes were well oiled but the computer would count pins down that were still standing and sometimes the pin setter wouldn't work and the 1 or 8 pin would be on the ground. Also a giant bug flew onto me while standing.

This place was getting better until the actual bowling season started. 1. The management is run by people who think spraying the approaches would fix them and barely put oil on the lane. They change the oil pattern to not cater to the bowlers, but to themselves. And they constantly change the pattern every week so you never know how it's truly gonna be. They change the pattern because they think changing the pattern every week is gonna make everyone happy. They never take proper care of the oil machine itself, when I look at the lane, every time it's dirty, when the oil machine should be cleaning the lanes.

Nicely priced (we paid $14 for four games and two pair of shoes). Afterwards we had lunch at the diner connected to the lanes. Menu is comprehensive with lots of appetizers, soups, salads, burgers/sandwiches, plate lunches and even dinners. There is a bar for cocktails. Daily specials (today was chicken parm sandwich and turkey rice soup). Menu includes hot turkey or beef with mashed potatoes and gravy (very good!), fish and chips, burgers, cold subs and hot chicken sandwiches, pizza, wings, lots of apps (fries, o-rings, chicken tenders), a few salads and homemade soup. Kids meals, too. Menu is on a single piece of paper but includes at least 50 items! Bowling lanes staff is super friendly, lady in diner is a bit gruff. Very few places to grab lunch in Canajoharie so consider this for food and stay for bowling!

Sure enough they don't carry peppers or put them on unless you asked. I explained we did ask then she argued with me about what kind of peppers, they don't carry peppers. What a friendly little bowling alley. Came here with the Miss Sarit and her friends…read more The manager / owner (possibly) was super friendly and accommodating; we prepaid for 3 games each, but stuck around for two since it was late and we had been driving all day from NYC to this area-ish. He offered a full refund for the missed game, and even comforted us that it was "no problem! It's perfectly fine!" along with a warm smile. I mean, I would have been satisfied not getting a refund (it was only about 8$ per person for three games total so the refund was like a dollar each.) The bar was understocked, but that's understandable since most of the people here were underage. They do have 7.50$ pitchers of beer which is awesome. Left to my wiles I would have had 2-3! Get drunk and cause great concern for safety at this fun little spot.

I regret not taking his name for this review but, 'The Guy' (you know who you are) was very pleasant and attentive. His station was some ways away from our lane. Despite this, anytime we ran into trouble (e.g. when a pin got stuck) he already spotted it and promptly started working on resolving the problem. There were a lot of attendees but the venue didn't feel overcrowded or uncomfortable. Everyone from the teens to the seniors was well-behaved and had a grand time. The venue was clean (including the male bathroom) and lively. Both the bar and the mini restaurant were open. We ordered fries and chicken tenders. We received our meal quickly and it tasted well. "I'll be back!"

Right after I got there A man walked up to me at our table and said very RUDELY " you gotta be out of here at 4:45 we have another party coming in, so get your kids shoes and get them bowling "! The point in having a party at a place like this is so you have time to enjoy yourself but we didn't because we couldn't! From being rushed out the door right after you arrive, they don't give you a hostess, they didn't even give the children FOOD or DRINKS untill 4:15!! We had to buy drinks from a vending machine!! Any time we needed something we had to wait to get help, and most of the time we had to hunt the employees down because they were in the back room! Every time we asked for help or needed something we were treated poorly! Spoken to with attitude and sarcasm! I was told each child would get a pass for a free game of bowling (we didn't get them)! Now I have to drive 25 minute to go pick them up! I can't even give them to most of the children because they live over an hour away! The pizza was over cooked, like to the point it was rock hard! How do you give that to a toddler??? We weren't given any utensils, we had to hunt them down ourselves, they didn't give us enough cups, plates or napkins! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! I'm so unbelievably disappointed with this place! We paid WAY TO MUCH FOR THE LITTLE BIT WE GOT!

First of all there wasn't any music, some girl would occasionally buy a crappy song on a juke box, hurting and eventually killing our ears. Next the oil pattern was god awful, I don't know if it was just our lane, but trying to hook the ball was a genuine nightmare. I also should also mention that the interface was acting a little special, multiple times, the pins would randomly drop down, I'd say I'd have to reset the pins every other frame. The smell, the alley smelled like absolute crap, it smelled like a school cafeteria, and the food looked like complete slop. Lastly the line, there was only 3 people ahead of us in the line, but somehow it took 20 minutes to pay for our bowling. The shoes that I was offered looked like it was from the lost and found with multiple holes, torn up laces, and shredded insoles, they were Al's tied together extremely tight. Balls, one of the balls here initially looked fine, but when inspected had a hole covered up by a damn band aid. But hey if you still want to go, buy one of their overpriced crappy deep fried hot dogs, they sure do love those.
