Our builder contracted with Mill Creek to lay about 4,000 sqft of tile in our new home back in…read more2020. After the downstairs was almost complete we noticed hollow sounding tile throughout the 1st floor. Milk Creek had to rip up tiles throughout the first floor and relay. Fast forward a few years later and tiles in several areas of the upstairs are now popping up. Although we were past the warranty period, I called Joan (our sales rep) and explained the situation, thinking they would at least come look at the issue. She said that their manager said "something caused this to happen..." and that "too much time had passed and that they didn't want to open up a can of worms". Hindsight being 2020, I would not use Mill Creek and would opt for a more reputable company with higher skilled tile layers and better business practices.

Every phone is disconnected or not being answered. Even his own installers cannot get in touch with him. They are understandably refusing to finish because they are afraid of not being paid. My kitchen is not even close to being done, even though he estimated to being done the last week of this month. I could have done the kitchen myself, even though I have never even so much as held a drill in my life. Go with someone else, or better yet, learn a new skill and pick up a tool set.

Only way I would recommend is if you watch the installation crew like a hawk to make sure they don't damage anything or leave a mess. Holes in walls, broken drawer in kitchen, chunks of wood missing on door frame next to sink, no caulking on top of backsplash pieces, did not haul off old materials which was included in quote. Missed first scheduled appointment on a friday. They didn't call I contacted them the following Monday and said something came up would do this week sometime. And of course was Friday evening and sat when I was out of town so unable to check work until following Monday. My mistake all I get is excuses of reasons for damage and carelessness and irresponsible workmanship. Wow took a whole 177.00 off price totaling almost 3000.00. I will spend that easily having plumber fix broken pvc pipe, damaged wood from water leak and bulk trash disposal.
