Then he proceeded to tell me he was going to charge me 1 thing & the insurance company another to "help me out". That's insurance fraud! I was told he would check out what was damaged. The next thing I knew he was charging me $200 for a tarp. I did not ask for that! I asked for an estimate for the damage to be repaired. Stay sharp, everyone. We have worked with Richard twice. The first project was after we bought our new (old) home and had…read moreit re-wired - Richard's team patched 160+ holes and repainted all interiors. The second was to patch a couple dozen holes and repair tile after we had the home re-piped. In both cases we were very happy with the work, Richard and his employees are very skilled. The walls look really fantastic, the texturing is very good, making the areas where holes were imperceptible. Richard also had the young man who worked on this latest project go the extra mile, touching up some paint without us asking, and adding new silicone sealant in the bath, and being very mindful that the grout in the tile work matched what was already there. Richard was great in both cases, particularly because he was able to accommodate us quickly in this latest project, and working on a Saturday so that we would finally have functioning baths again. He is a very knowledgeable and pleasant person to work with.

We used AHR Roofing to do a completely new TPO roof replacement for a standalone building for our…read morebusiness. The owner, Alex, was very responsive at first. When the roof was completed, I did a walk through of the TPO material and asked why some major parts felt loose and was told him and his team that the adhesive would adhere later. It just needed some time. It never did. We also used the team he had subcontracted the work to, to install a new gutter. The nightmare really started a few months after the work had been completed. Heavy rain came and we noticed leaks in several spots inside our building above the breaker box and our kitchen hood vent and some spots closer to the front. Turns out his crew, which he subcontracted the work to, had not properly sealed some areas above our breaker box and didn't reattach the screws to our hood vent fan covers on the roof so they had their lids blown off from wind. Even the base of our units on the roof were missing ALL screws to keep them attached. Stay away from this company. Their work is on our business was incredibly bad, which caused further leaks after the fact and now they will not show up for the promised 20 year warranty. Our TPO roof has gaps many areas and it is bubbling everywhere. We have made multiple requests other the months to the owner, Alex Herrera, but he always finds an excuse to say our gutter caused the issues from his shoddy work. We have had several independent contractors review the TPO roof AHR Roofing installed and they all said the it is bad workmanship which is causing our continued leaks and has nothing to do with our gutter. We have multiple text messages to show how Alex is avoiding to fix his roof work under warranty by trying to blame it on a gutter we installed by it using another company.

I called Done Right Remodeling to get an estimate on some sheetrock repair in my kitchen and…read moreceilings. I had used another painting contractor before, but I needed a second estimate for comparison. **Note: when I called the other contractor for an estimate, he asked me how many cracks I had and gave me an estimate over the phone without seeing what needed to be done. Charlie came by the day after I called to take a look at the work that was needed. I had some pretty substantial cracks in the kitchen area walls and some minor cracks in the ceiling in the kitchen. A few other minor cracks in the walls on the first floor also needed work. Charlie emailed me a written estimate the next day which was lower than the previous contractor I had used. When I called him to accept the bid and arrange for a day to do the work, Charlie told me he could come the following day! Joy! I could get this taken care of ASAP, since we are expecting out-of-town guests next month and I didn't want my house to look like it was falling apart. Charlie and his helper did arrive a little later than expected (minor) the next morning, but they took a short lunch and finished right on time. They were great about clean up and were extraordinarily tolerant of my dogs, too! The work that they did was superb. My walls look tremendous now, especially since I painted yesterday -- my kitchen looks fabulous! What was really great about Charlie was that he gave me a lot of advice. Obviously parts of the ceiling would now need to be painted -- but I didn't want to paint the entire ceiling. He saved the strip that he took off, told me where to take it to match the paint (which they did) and exactly how to paint it so that it would look perfect (which it does). He told me precisely how to paint the repaired areas of the kitchen walls first, and then the whole kitchen so that it would look like the walls had never been repaired -- which it does. And, Charlie talks. I like that in repairmen. When they talk, they tell you things -- stuff you can use. He told me what I could use to revitalize the finish on my cherry-stained kitchen cabinets (even sent me a picture of the product). He had useful information to share about basic home repair. Charlie talked; I listened. Done Right Remodeling is a BBB accredited business with an A+ rating. That's how I found them, and I'm glad I did. With the quick response and reasonable bid I received, combined with excellent workmanship and clean up afterwards (a big plus in my book), I see why he's earned that A+ rating. I would definitely recommend this business and call them again for a repair that I could not do myself.
