The first thing you notice as you pull up is that this place looks like an outdoor flea market. If you're into countless rusty tools and pieces of old equipment and endless plastic totes to dig through, then this is the place for you. absolutely everything sits under tarps and tents where all the goods are dusty and weathered. At least some of the electrical and electronics they have for sale are bagged up to protect them from the elements. So if you're the type that likes to get your hands dirty and spend an hour or more pouring over the myriad of rundown goods, then have fun. As for me I don't plan on returning. The photos below will either inspire you or deter you.

While looking around I met a young boy who was clearly from around the neighborhood shopping as well. After a few minutes, I hear the owner yelling and screaming at the boy just because he was there without his mother. I walked over and asked the man's wife why he couldn't shop and she acted nervous and said that's just how her husband is. The man continued to scream and yell at the boy and then smacks him in the back with a fly swatter while screaming get out we don't want your money! That was it for me. If I hadnt had a table between us, that fly swatter wouldve been shoved down his throat! I started yelling for my husband who was already making his way towards me because he heard what was happening and new id go to jail over someone hurting a child. Meanwhile the woman and man are screaming at each other. We quickly walked out with the boy and made sure he got across the road before leaving. DO NOT GO HERE!!! It's a complete mess of garbage and things that could be nice but they have been wet and all smell like cat poo and mildew. Plus, the owner is a complete ass. The things the kid wanted to buy were most likely the only sale he was going to make that day! Even if we had found something, I wouldn't spend a single penny supporting this place!

We decided to stop on our way out if they were still open, and as our luck would have it they were! We went inside and noticed they have a combination of used and new items ( Mostly used, but they had some gorgeous windchimes, fishing and crabbing supplies that were new). They were having a sale, $5 a bag up to 8 items in each. It excluded a couple tag colors, but I was still able to find some nice blouses for my mom, cheap! I was super impressed with the quality of what I bought. Mostly name brand, in "like new" condition. They had a great assortment of clothes, sized, selection. They also had lots of books and knick knacks. The prices (of items that weren't on sale) for clothes reflected the name brands so some were a little higher than what I would expect to pay for used clothing, but still less than I've seen at Goodwill stores. I asked if the proceeds from sales benefited some sort of charity. The lady was very kind and told me about the many ways the money is used. I'll list some that I can remember... They have parenting classes to teach new parents to be good parents, and the new parents earn "baby bucks" for taking the classes that they can use to buy clothes or diapers. Another lady took us upstairs to see where the classes are held, it was very nice! They also have a medical clinic two times a month. She said they have two doctors and a nurse practitioner volunteer their time. They had an office and rooms upstairs that were actual medical exam rooms! Phenomenal! They also had a free GED class and food pantry, but I don't remember the details about those. I was just very impressed with the amount of services they are able to provide with the resources from a resale shop! Oh I'm sure they also get donations from the community churches and other sources but they are obviously good stewards of what is given to them. Even though we don't live anywhere near this area or have a personal need for services they offer, we will make sure to visit when we are down that way to look for some bargains. We found about $15 worth of items to buy and I was glad to hand over my money knowing I had gotten a good deal and the money was going to be well used! OH One final bonus, because my husband is over 55 he received a 25% Seniors Discount (which thrilled us both but not in the same sense of "thrilled"). The seniors discount, I believe, is every day. I would highly recommend you stop by and check it out, maybe score you some bargains too!
